Aqua - pretty alright, typical for elves, specifically high elves or dark elves 8/10
Blue - decent, kind of hard to read with shaders, not seen many people with this 6/10
Dark Aqua - shamefully i have not seen many people with this either, actually a underrated chat colour 9/10
Dark Blue - possibly the WORST chat colour, hard to read with and without shaders and just makes rping awful with this colour 1/10
Dark Gray - similar to dark blue but not as bad of an offender, very very rarely see people with this colour, typically its dark magic players that use it. 3/10
Dark Green - used by a lot of highlander humans, wood elves and dwarves typical for humans in agricultural settings. pretty decent and common chat colour. 7/10
Dark Purple - despite being called "dark" it is quite vibrant, another common one, this one is used a lot by dark elves and dark magic characters. 8/10.
Dark Red - for the edgelords, whoever is emoting at you with this is either a knight/soldier, a bandit or a norlander. no inbetween. pretty standard. 7/10.
Gold - decent chat colour, feels kind of flat in my opinion compared to some of the other ones but gets the job done. 6/10
Green - really good chat colour but imo is too vibrant sometimes, personally i use this one but i hadn't put much thought into using it i just like using uncommon ones. i dub thee, traveller green. 7/10
Light Purple - makes you look like a pink tag and i have to double check every time you emote with this, stop using it please. 4/10
Red - similar to dark red but slightly less edgy. used by a lot of people. 6/10.
Yellow - another very underrated one but suffers from a lot of the problems that "green" does too, never personally seen this one used ever so i might start using this after i press submit on this. 8/10.

@un-w We should...

I'd say to add a wilderness system of some sort. Tiles next to a nations region tile have no region owner but cannot be built upon. Any tiles which are not directly next to a claimed tile are free build (with the rule that there can't be griefing and builds that are abandoned after a certain number of time will be removed or turned to ruins). An event mechanic can also be added which requires nations or upstart settlements to complete a difficult event storyline in order to claim previously unclaimed tiles.

I remember one time in Atlas, I was randomly wandering around in the armpit of fkn nowhere. Maybe a 20 minute run from CT on foot, somewhere in a very forested snowy-taiga area, but there were no roads or settlements near by. Don't know why I was running, but probably out of boredom and hoping I'd find something cool. After a while of sprint-jumping in a random direction, I stumbled upon a very small campfire area with a tent or two, and saw a username.
Didn't expect much or think on it, but to my surprise, they emoted at me. Or, I emoted at them, and they responded - either or. I don't remember much of the interaction, but I do specifically remember two things:
1. They had 6 days (yes, days, not hours) of play time that week. No clue how on god's green earth that was possible, so maybe I'm misremembering and gaslighting myself, but I don't know why else something like that would stick out to me so much 4 years later.
2. My character, without introducing herself, asked for this stranger's name. He responded by implying she was rude for asking it without first stating her own.
We roleplayed for, maybe, fifteen or so minutes, before I left and continued running. I don't know how long I had been running or how far I made it, but in the same run, I eventually turned around to check out the camp again. The player was gone, and that was that.
Never spoke to that player again, RPly or OOCly, and to this day I cannot remember their username or RP name for the life of me. I think they were a human or adunian though.
anyways no idea why I shared this story but it's a distinct memory I have, and I also remember wondering if that player had been sitting there waiting for someone to randomly approach him in the middle of asscrack nowhere just like I did -
