  1. The Notes of a Retiree [!] The former Grand King had almost sat down in his chair with a bottle of ale and a pipe as missive after missive seemed to travel through his door. He relinquished the ale and pipe for the papers and read through each one with a heavy heart. Though as he finished reading he felt himself not consumed by sadness or anguish at the thought of his kin fighting and his Kingdom splintering but a sense of excitement. For the former King’s temper was well known. To all those who dwell in the Grand Kingdom, I have attempted to stand aside and allow those who now hold power to handle the issues that they now face. Though I cannot hope but feel that some of these issues were compounded by me, I may have grown busy and perhaps allowed things to fester and maybe allowed others to slide. I assure you that my time is now free and to all those who seek to subvert the Grand Kingdom, you are given the honor of choosing how I spend this newly acquire time. Either I can drink and smoke myself into an early grave, or you can force me to wear my armor and draw my ordaz and right any wrong you have committed. To all those forces that now stand in opposition to Urguan, I recommend standing down and seeking forgiveness from the next Grand King, or I will gladly remind you why you waited till I stepped down to be traitorous fools. The Grand Retiree,
  2. The Abdication of a Brewer [!] Within the Grand King’s Palace of Urguan’s capital city, Kal’Darakaan, whose stone hewn walls are carved into the mountain itself, Levian’Tol sits at an oaken table before a hearth. Like many of his brethren, a pipe rests between his lips while his dark gaze traverses the paper before him. Each word is inked carefully, each sentence finished without flourish. It was not every day that a King informs his kin of a voluntary change in regime. Denizens of Urguan and my kin, Though I was elected Grand King nae even an age ago, I am content with what I have done. I now realize I face a path that every monarch before I has had to tread - that of forcing one’s reign to continue or stepping down and allowing another to serve our Nation. Our past kings have chosen the former. They have refused to reject power that is not their own and our people have suffered for it. Yet, I seek to chase a different future. In my time, I have served Urguan with faith and loyalty from atop the Obsidian Throne. I have led the legion, brought renewed wealth and prosperity not just to the halls of Kal’Darakaan, but to all the lands of the Grand Kingdom. Urguan has grown strong with my incorporation of The Unified Domain of Vortice and the collapse of Krugmar into the Iron’Uzg fueled by dwedmar blades. The vast auxiliaries of our borders now stand to supplement the dwedmar legion each time we go into battle. The Crimson Edict, with their age-old grudge against slavery defeated for the foreseeable future, assist the Lord Justicar in discovering and stemming any outbreak of corruption against our nation. The Order of the Golden Lion stands ready in their Keep of Sunbreak to lash out against any incursion, be it from the void or otherwise. South Sedan, Vasoyevi, Stygian Hollow, Lubba’s Keep, and Myrine all stand proudly with the Grand Kingdom. Our enemies are theirs, and theirs ours. The Mages Guild has returned once more and the Remembrancer Library stands finally completed with scholars from all the lands of Almaris eager to study inside its tall walls. In the days of old, eons ago, we Dwedmar once had an Empire. I return to you now, my people, the closest we have come to that legacy in many stone years. I hope only that my successor has the intelligence to build on what I have done, rather than letting it regress to isolationism. Let Urguan swell with the riches I have gathered and flourish with the denizens I have brought in. To my kin, my dwedmar, the future of Urguan rests now in your hands. May the Brathmordakin guide your paths as they have guided mine. ~ Grand King, Levian’Tol Grandaxe [!] The Grand King would deliver a short hand version of this letter before his council before removing the Crown of Urguan, given to him from hands of Grand Emperor Rhewen Frostbeard himself, from his head and placing it infront of his Lord Justicar, Ulfric Frostbeard, as he left the Obsidian Throne for the last time to the sounds of his kins cheers. 3. THE TREATY OF KAL’DARAKAAN With the dissolvement of the War Nation of Krugmar, the Iron Uzg, the nation’s successor, has realized the wrongs of their previous government, and has officially surrendered to the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Meeting within the halls of Urguan’s capital, Kal’Darakaan, the leaders of both nations negotiated terms of surrender, leading to the agreement listed below: SECTION I: TERMS OF SURRENDER The Grand Kingdom of Urguan and the Iron Uzg hereby agree to the following terms of surrender: I. THE Iron Uzg shall publicly and formally declare defeat at the hands of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan in the form of a public document. I. SAID document shall include a formal apology to Grand Marshal Bakir Ireheart for shaving his beard without being given an honorable fight. II. THE Iron Uzg shall formally banish and whitewash the orcish criminals known as Hu-din and Fishbref. I. IF the Iron Uzg is found allowing said individuals within their lands, the treaty shall be declared null. II. IF the individuals are allowed within the Iron Uzg either officially or unofficially after the publication of this document, the Grand Kingdom shall perceive the action as an act of WAR. III. THE Iron Uzg shall withdraw all previous negative statements made about the Grand Kingdom by their predecessor state, Krugmar. I. SAID statements include but are not limited to: Any official document denouncing Urguan, hinting at collusion with Undead, or falsifying the slaughtering of innocents at the hands of the Grand Kingdom. IV. THE Iron Uzg shall continue the abolishment of slavery from their culture. I. THE Grand Kingdom holds the right to officially oversee the abolishment of Slavery. II. IF said abolishment does not occur, the treaty shall be declared null, and the Grand Kingdom shall perceive such as an act of WAR. V. THE Iron Uzg shall permit the Legion of Urguan full access to the Uzg’s land. This document is forever binding, regardless of any future change in government. Signed, Grand King of Urguan, Lord Chancellor of Urguan, Elder of Clan Frostbeard, High Remembrancer of the Order of Remembrance, Son of Rhewen The Grand Marshal of Urguan, Clan Father of the Irehearts and Jarl of Dol’Gorix Rex of the Iron Uzg, Skaatchnak’Izgi [!] The mark of a bloody hand would be beneath the Rex’s name.
  4. A Fitting End for Slavers The sun rose high on a dense, insect-ridden jungle near Krugmar, the undergrowth threatening to devour already-crumbling stretches of road. It was in this choked, humid land that a small group of battle-hungry Dwedmar and a single Uruk clad in crimson hunted, far from home and hearth. It was the slavers’ scent that drew them from the mountains, and soon enough they had found the filth they sought. On a quiet road, two Uruks of Krugmar - one of whom being none other than the Snagagoth - had the misfortune to meet the children of Urguan, each one more eager than the last to carry out Dungrimm’s will. The Uruks carried an Umri slave with them; fresh, breathing, and undeniable proof of their transgressions. The Dwedmar and their Orcish comrade held their weapons aloft, eyeing their prey as Yazmorra Blackroot negotiated the surrender of the slave being transported. The slave was released, and not a moment later, the first strike came from the Grand Queen herself. The ensuing fight concluded with the Snagagoth face-down in a pool of his own blood, a Frostbeard blade lodged in his chest, and his Raguk accomplice attempting to offer terms. Both were brought back to Urguan’s halls in chains. The slavers were thrown into sky cells, to await questioning. Not long after, their interrogations were complete, and the Grand Queen was left to render judgement. The Uruks would face death, and it would be one of their own kind who would give it to them; Naffog, the Orcish Grandmaster of The Crimson Edict who’d fought alongside the Dwed patrol - upon his own request. The Uruks from Krugmar were dragged into the city square, their hands and feet soon nailed between the stone tiles. The Raguk pleaded for his life and the Snagagoth placated himself, suggesting that a slaver’s soul could be saved. The Orc who’d been chosen to mete out their punishment would hear none of it, and had already chosen what fate his misbegotten kin would suffer. Soon, skin was separated from muscle, and bodies were tormented beyond recognition. So it was that two Uruks, flayed living and hung on posts, decorated the heart of Urguan. An end befitting any slaver. Grand King of Urguan,

  7. ♫♫♫ Sat beneath an aging tree, shrouded in shade, a beardling emitted a long-winded sigh. It dispersed into the pollenated air with little response. A few crickets chirped at the presence of the dwed however little more was produced. The perfect setting for his words to be put to parchment. So with his intentions clear, piece of charcoal in hand, and parchment set out in his lap, the dwed began to write. Dear not smelly friends, I, Porkpie Grandaxe, god of crums, grand king of bread, Sylvain of the Harmony, ajent of super secret group, belly bard and slayer of trols, am taking a breac from sity lyfe. I want to go on my own jurney like ma, and the singur lady is teaching me how to help protect the forests! So I’m going on an adventure! When I get back I’ll be ready to elp my favourite peeps of Hefrumn be safe and sound! I also want to learn how to cooc because I’m fed up with slop. Ma's stew was much nicer. So I’ll be learnin about that when I’m gone too. Then I’ll feed all my frends! Like: singa lady, blu i's, king man, chief peep, auntie yaz, banjo man, snake elf, fat peep and all the rest! But for now I’ll say goodbye! Sincerely, Porkpie Grandaxe, god of crums, grand king of bread, Sylvain of the Harmony, ajent of super secret group, belly bard and slayer of trols. (Soon to be chief of Hefrumn and Grand king of all of Urguan!) PS: I’ve begun leaving a crumb trail but I also think the trail tastes nice so it might be gone. :) And with a small smiley face to end the piece, the beardling sat down his quill. Sitting up and proudly dancing at his writing achievement. Finally handing the duped letters over to a falcon once his dance session had winded him. Though instead of the common sleek and elegant posture, this falcon was round and tubby, perhaps a reminder of a certain someone. Despite the resemblance however, the falcon would in fact not be mistaken to be Porkpie as it delivered the letter to be pinned at the notice board of Hefrumn, and a copy to Urguan. One clearly more swiftly copied over. Perhaps a tell tale of the dweds priorities and preferences. ooc:
  8. AN EXPANSION OF THE HIGH COURTS: THE INVESTIGATIVE BRANCH With recent breaches to the Articles of Urguan seen and tried by the High Courts, the Lord Justiciar has seen fit to install an investigative branch to his courts. While the Legion is a force tasked with upholding Urguan’s laws, they are also responsible for the overall protection of Urguan and its vassals. With their vast list of responsibilities and recent declaration of war, the High Courts find that their own branch of enforcement and investigation shall be required to uphold the Articles in their entirety. Investigators of the High Courts are individuals and/or groups who have been hand chosen by the Lord Justiciar, answering directly to him through the powers given to the High Court in the approved Articles of Urguan. These individuals do not compose the nation’s military force, rather they are specialists in investigation with the sole task of investigating and enforcing breaches to the Articles of Urguan. Despite their task of upholding the Articles, they, like all citizens of Urguan, are still bound by its laws. If anything, they are to be kept on a higher pedestal. If any investigators are witnessed breaching the Articles, report such directly to the Lord Justiciar. SECTION I: THE POWERS OF THE BRANCH While the Investigators are required to operate within the Articles, said individuals are allowed some leeway with permission from the Lord Justiciar. The powers of the Investigative Branch are listed below: THE Investigators shall answer directly to the Lord Justiciar. They are an extension of the High Courts, and shall be independent of any national guard. THE Investigators are permitted to stop and question individuals suspected of breaking Urguani law. They are not allowed to use force, unless in self-defense. THE Investigators may legally search property with the signed approval of the Lord Justiciar in the form of a warrant. If an Investigator believes a crime is actively occurring, they may break in without said warrant. If no crime is actively occurring, said Investigator may be charged in accordance with the Articles. THE Investigators shall collect evidence rather than directly arrest individuals. Once enough evidence is collected, said Investigators shall inform the Lord Justiciar to conduct a trial. During such, it is the job of the Investigators to prove a defendant’s guilt. THE Investigators will typically be given tasks, yet are permitted to freely investigate any possible breach of the Articles. SECTION II: AUTHORIZED INVESTIGATORS Authorized Investigators can be recognized by a certificate signed by the Lord Justiciar. If such a document is not on one’s person, they are not authorized to act as an investigator. Signed, Grand King of Urguan, Lord Justiciar of Urguan, Lord of Clan Frostbeard, Thane of Rhewenholm, Great-Grandson of Rhewen
  9. GRAND OPENING OF THE STORMHEART SMITHY The fires roar, and the steel sings in Norland letting it be known that The Stormheart Smithy is now open and ready for business! Fliers are posted around, as well as a large notice on the Norland town message board. In the dark, deep cold nights one can see the warm firelight glowing like a burning ember, welcoming heroes, villains, mercenaries, and farmers alike to come and claim their hand crafted weapon, tool, or armor. Manned by a dwarf smith who is dedicated to his craft, and bustling with life, the Stormheart Smithy is certainly one of the finest establishments in the northern realms, with a large sign outside assuring quality with every product, or a full refund. The only question left remaining for those who linger outside is- how much money and time are you going to waste on inferior products? How many unnecessary wounds are you going to be able to weather, before you finally step into Stormheart Smithy and get the gear you need, for the price you want? The answer can only be answered by you. Brought to you by: Halard Stormheart
  10. FROM THE HIGH COURTS OF URGUAN A MISSIVE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE LORD JUSTICIAR: Following the trial of the de Joannes family, the High Courts have ruled the following: The High Courts of Urguan find the de Joannes family of Sedan GUILTY of: Section VI.VI: Slavery in the Second Degree The High Courts of Urguan find the de Joannes family of Sedan INNOCENT of: Section VII.IV: Insubordination in the Third Degree By decree of guiltiness of Slavery in the Second Degree, the High Courts have ordered the De Joannes family to pay 1000 minas total in fines to the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, to be received by the Lord Justiciar in no more than two stone-weeks time. Justice has been served. Narvak oz Urguan. Grand King of Urguan, Lord Justiciar of Urguan, Lord of Clan Frostbeard, Thane of Rhewenholm, Great-Grandson of Rhewen Lord Chancellor of Urguan, Elder of Clan Frostbeard, High Remembrancer of the Order of Remembrance, Son of Rhewen
  11. A WAR OF RETRIBUTION Urguan’s Folk, for centuries, have been tried time and time again by nations who believe they are strong enough to defeat the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. And time and time again, they have continuously failed. The dwed have never lost a war against an external threat, yet the “War-Nation '' of Krugmar has seen it wise to raid Urguani vassals, kill our citizens, and kidnap and debeard our Grand Marshal. These insults to our people cannot and will not be allowed to continue without dire consequences to the already crumbling “nation”. At a council meeting only stone days ago, the Grand King called upon all clans and vassals to appear in the throne room to hear of a decision that would impact the entirety of the Grand Kingdom. With the testimony of Bakir Ireheart, the newly appointed Grand Marshal, describing the ‘trial’ awarded to the dwed, all of Urguan’s folk knew that it was time for action. Repelling every single Krugmarian raid was simply not enough. Killing a Targoth and displaying his head was not enough. Ironcasting a Krugmarian Uruk was not enough. The simple memory of a recent defeat to Urguan under Utak Ireheart was somehow not enough. The council knew that the only step possible to cease Krugmarian hostility once and for all was WAR. With the publication of this document, the Grand Kingdom of Urguan hereby declares WAR on the “War-Nation'' of Krugmar. Shall they realize their mistake and wish for a way out, their peace terms are listed below: SECTION I: TERMS OF PEACE As listed in the recently published grudge against Krugmar, the terms of peace are listed as follows: I. The tusks of the Rex of Krugmar. II. The heads of both Targoths of Krugmar. III. Withdrawing all previous statements against the Grand Kingdom, as well as a public declaration of defeat. Narvak oz Urguan, Narvak oz da Khazadmar signed, Grand King of Urguan, Clan Father of Clan Grandaxe The Grand Marshal of Urguan, Clan Father of the Irehearts and Jarl of Dol’Gorix Lord Chancellor of Urguan, Elder of Clan Frostbeard, High Remembrancer of the Order of Remembrance, Son of Rhewen
  12. A CALL TO THE HIGH COURTS OF URGUAN A MISSIVE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE LORD JUSTICAR: The recent crimes against humanity seen in the Sedanite territory of Urguan is something that has been unbeknownst to the dwedmar for centuries. Having been oppressed by nations in ancient history, Urguan’s Folk have consistently fought against acts of slavery or forced labor, as regardless of one's race or religion, everyone under Urguani law is still a person. Despite multiple laws banishing such practices from our lands, and having the largest Order of anti-slavers under our banner, the de Joannes family of Sedan have been accused of hosting an auction of recently kidnapped women alongside the Ferrymen, a bandit group which has consistently raided the Grand Kingdom, within their hold. The actions the de Joannes are accused of are despicable by any means, and the High Courts promise a just trial to those involved. Regardless of which individual members were involved on said disastrous day, the entirety of the de Joannes family is responsible for what occurs within their lands, and therefore the family shall be tried as a whole. With such in mind, The High Courts of Urguan hereby call upon the de Joannes family of Sedan to appear before the Lord Justicar within the courts of Kal’Darakaan. The family is given ONE STONE WEEK to appear, otherwise warrants of arrest shall be ordered for the entire de Joannes family. The de Joannes family shall be tried for the crimes listed below: Section VI.VI: Slavery in the Second Degree Section VII.IV: Insubordination in the Third Degree The High Courts expect your arrival. Narvak oz Urguan. Grand King of Urguan, Lord Justicar of Urguan, Lord of Clan Frostbeard, Lord Chancellor of Urguan, Elder of Clan Frostbeard, High Remembrancer of the Order of Remembrance, Son of Rhewen
  13. 11th of the First Seed Bloodlust answered with Dwarven Ire The Moon rose into the black sky as the sun fell back behind the orcish city. As the orcs and their slaves alike gathered in the Krugmar square, huddling around the lit campfire for warmth the generals of Krug stood around ready to give a speech. Urguani Forces led by Grand King Levian’Tol Grandaxe and Bakir Ireheart moved into the city with a company of 90, made up of Dwarven Legionnaires, Men of Blackwald, The Rustlers, and the GOATS, with compliments of the The Silver Lubba band. They charged the square quickly, cornering one of the Krugmarian Generals, the Urgani force was quickly surrounded by 135 Urks of Krugmar. The Urguani forces slammed their swords and axes together preparing for Battle. Bakir stepped forward asking the cornered general “Where is your Rex? Bring him to us.” Some orcs in the group surrounding them chuckled and awaited the response of their Targoth. The Krugmar General simply responded “Our Rex is dead, died of a heart attack” Bakir shrugged, going to lift his axe pointing it at the throat of the orc “Then we shall take you instead.” With that an orc war cry rang out, the circle of orcish warriors collapsing on the group of 90 dwarves surrounding the Grand King and the Krugmar General. Battle ensued, Urguani and Krugmar forces clashing, the sound of battle filling the streets of the city. The Orcs were quickly driven back into their own gatehouse, orc bodies filling the square with not one dwarf being scathed. The remaining warriors of Krug and with their two Generals hid in the gatehouse expecting to be safe from the dwarves that were waiting inside. The Warriors of Sedan and Silver Lubba suddenly pushed into the gates where the orcs were hiding, quickly overcoming them and dealing with them easily. Axes and swords were raised into the air and thereafter, Urguan War Cries filled the Orcish square as the corpses of Krug’s kin began to rot. The Raid party then returned to Kal'Darakaan. Victorious, hauling a sack of orcish heads behind him.
  14. THE UNWARRANTED ATTACK The Sightings of Blue Avarice of Greatness “And the blue bandanas were dug from the ground, heaved by the likes of his mortal cohort. They strode from their ruined, decrepit homeland; ventured through the misty isles of the north, shattered and torn by snow. It was them -- the Reivers. ” - An excerpt of King Sugarfoot II The warriors of the Ferrymen sat in their lonesome fort, idling in parties and drinks. Famed in the lands as fierce warriors, we looked to the skies and saw but bleak clouds, and the face of Vivian Maelstrom in shackles. It was bound by our will that she was commended to great pain and suffering, for her insufferable crimes of torment to her people of Talon’s Grotto and the kind of Juan Pablo, attempting to burn him alive for no apparent reason. Take into account, us Ferrymen do not sway the politics of others. We have our own agendas, goals and politics. We keep to ourselves and do not interfere with the movement of other nations. So, why attempt to touch our politics? We do not have time to stomp on the vile cockroaches entering our fortress kitchen, like rodents. That is what you are, rodents interfering with something they should not. We do not take nicely to our brothers-in-arms being threatened, we are family. She dared lay hand - or even attempted to - harm our comrade. In response, we showed penance by capturing the insufferable, insidious woman and croaking her tone into silence. She spoke with royalty, and then was met by ruin. It is the curse of bygone titans that lay waste to our lands; she is descendant to those titans, crazed and wandering with purpose to spill vitriol and evil. Eventually, us ferrymen were met with an unwarranted attack. Those of Elysium and Urguan attempted to play hero, and rallied their forces to bring back their unkindly friend-monarch. For what cause? Why did the fools of Elysium and Urguan interfere in something that was not related to their politics? Out of confusion, we fought and overstepped that hurdle. They fell, and we continued our day without injuries. Heed well, you damned souls of Elysium and Urguan. Stick to your own business, and we shall stick to ours. You are nothing. You are nobody. A prick torn away from flesh. To call you a ‘hurdle’ is insulting enough for our pride. If this was not enough, try again and face worse penance. Your untimely appearance brought rise to five ancient bandit lords once more; the bandits raised from their soil to fight on our side -- the Reivers were unchallenged, and their combined forces with the Ferryman is outright victory. To beheath the appearance of King Sugarfoot II, Dacqueer Sugarfoot, Lyulen Daemyr, Lyuathir Daemyr, Dirty Don Juan and Prince Lonan Daemyr himself. We are men for hire, we seek gold and will decimate your enemies. You continue to fight us, and you burn the bridges and opportunities of gaining our swords to your favour. If you have wars, we will no longer be of your service. Is that what you wish for? I hope this is a lesson to Elysium and Urguan. Do not attempt to fight us again, or you will be a hurdle that is overstepped once more. Or squashed. We’ve already shaved the beard of the last Grand King of Urguan. Please, do not make us shave your beard also, Grand King Levian’tol Grandaxe. Signed, The Ferryman A depiction of the famed Reivers and their Ferryman comrades after their victorious battle.

  18. Ethereal Light He laid soft steps upon the muddy ground, his feet were weary from days of travel as the cacophony of crickets ushered in the evening moon. The traveler sighed. Too long had he been on the roads, with the scars still fresh and wounds to prove the roads were no place for the lone. It was a life of solace, the traveler thought to himself as he continued down the moonlit road, but it was not so bad. There were friends, however fleeting; periodic moments of hope inspired by charismatic priests, or perhaps that was just nostalgia. Then, he heard it, an all too familiar noise: the clink of chain and squish of heavy leather boots. The trio of darkly clad men stepped out from behind the trees as they called for him to stop. The traveler knew the drill: his possessions for his life, and so he gripped the book beneath his tabard tightly. He was tired of it though, and he was out of valuables. He did not wish to lose a digit, or a limb for that matter. He had spent too much time working, too much time just to stock his now empty pockets with meager rations for his journey to the mountains. He took his chance, a more than likely foolish one, as he turned into the dark and thick woods. The snap of twigs betrayed his escape, as the trio chased him, a bolt whizzed by his ear, slicing it as he yelped. He slid down the ravine, hiding beneath a large chestnut tree as he whispered a rhyme he’d picked up ages ago, one that had always brought him a strange comfort since: Every day I am plagued by three thoughts– A heavy weight on my soul. First, that my time is finite Second, I know not when I will depart But it is the third that torments me most That there is no way to know where I’ll go* The traveler’s breath began to steady after the third repetition, the harsh sound of his impending death fading deeper into the forest in pursuit. He waited, before deciding to take an uncharted path in the forest. He rose from the nook in the tree and began to meander forwards, guided only by the stars and moon. His hope faltered as he continued in the dark. He began imagining his savage death to those that camp within the forest’s lawless territory, wolves or boars, or even worse, man. His mind failed him, or did it? The soft glow of the candle light could not be real, or if it was, what men did light it. The traveler approached it cautiously, staying within the tree cover. He smelled food, again he thought his mind failed him. He sighed, wondering why the fates would play such evil tricks upon his humble being, a trial to prove his strength, he concluded. Finally the candle came into view. It burned slowly upon a pike dug deep into the dirt, but it was not alone. Through the dimly lit forest was a path lit by these piked candles, and the scholar let his gaze follow the lights until he could not see beyond them. Cautiously, he stepped more pronouncedly onto the dirt road, but was halted by an abrupt invasion of fearful and curious thoughts. “CRRRRAAAACKKKKKK” echoed from in front of him as an immense light painted the sky and its very nature was, for a moment, torn asunder. The unexpected burst of light and harsh pop sent the scholar upon his back. But he was a curious man, and though he feared men, this unexpected occurrence felt different, so he began to stand. The scholar dusted off his robes and secured his prized journal as he set off with hastened steps down the road towards the light which had turned the night to day. The Principality of Ando Alur “In Knowledge, Power...” To the far Eastern vales of the Almarisian continent, beyond the wave-lapped sands of the western shores, there lies an ivory spire — one which claws to the very heavens in hopes to reach the gods. This divine citadel, a final refuge of the noble arcane, stood to embody the hopes of descendant-kind to reach the seat of the gods. Many come here seeking enlightenment, whether they be some roaming scholar, weary knight, or cloistered monk — each taking solace in the gleaming light of Ando Alur. Leadership of the Principality Governance is a necessity of all societies, even those as great and wise of elvendom, and those of Ando Alur know this well. However, though given the reigning authority of a Prince, the people of Ando Alur are also sustained through the Council which advises the High Prince on matters pertaining to the wellbeing of the city-state. The High Prince [Vulnir Syllar - 6xdestroyer] The Prince is the recognized leader of Ando Alur and is responsible for the safety of those within the realm. The Prince acts in coordination with his council and guilds, ultimately holding the power of binding contracts. Drawing their power from the Onyx codex, they are ritually crowned in front of their kin by the Councillor of Culture. The Council of Seven Whilst the Prince may hold the power of binding contracts and direct authority, the magnificence of Ando Alur is no product of his virtue alone, for even he must have guidance through the Council. The Council of Seven is composed only of the greatest minds of the Almarisian continent, holding the power to make executive decisions and attend the works of the Prince. During the instances of disagreement between the Prince and Council, they may override his Highness if in unanimous agreement. The council will always possess at least one elven, one dwarven, and one human member. The Councillor of Council [Thallan Syllar - Cobbler] The Councillor of Council is in charge of all diplomatic matters within Ando Alur, as well as the recording of such, often heading foreign diplomatic missions in representation or assistance of the Prince. The Councillor’s primary role is the documentation of all legal and diplomatic proceedings that transpire within the Principality. They also possess the ability to hold judicial trials, presided over by the wider council, to help administer punishments to individuals arrested by the Inquisitors or other internal policing forces. The Lord Inquisitor [Erilian Oranor - Shmeepicus] The Lord Inquisitor is the head of the Inquisitors, the military force of Ando Alur. Not only is the Lord Inquisitor expected to be passionate and patriotic, but also tactically cunning and politically attuned in order to effectively defend the marble city and her people. While the Alurian Prince may grant the honorary title of Onyx Knight to worthy Inquisitors, the Lord Inquisitor’s recommendation is almost always a requirement. The Councillor of Keys [Jakob Castington - Oh_Ontario] The Chamberlain assigns living situations for all citizens and can charge tax on behalf of the Principality. They are also able to evict residents and organize events for citizens to partake in. The Chamberlain also presides over the market stalls within the Principality. The Lord Auspex [Avurak Syllar - Morghuul] The Lord Auspex is in charge of all religious activities within the Principality. Their duty is to that of the Ancestors and the Spirits and making sure the onyx children are guided on the lunar path. They build and maintain a spiritual following in the Principality, devoted to converting wayward humans, elves and dwarves onto the path of honour, building and maintaining shrines and totems, blessing kin, and snuffing out evil. The High Praetorum [Olrin Hildinyr - Sorcerio, Muriel - Geidleth] The High Praetorum are esteemed roles within the courts of Ando Alur, being responsible for the documentation and regulation of magic and artificery within the Principality. Along with this, they are also responsible for the defence, preservation, and protection of the marble city through their many arts, and work vigorously to achieve knowledge that can be used for the betterment of the Principality and her people. The High Praetorum are also responsible for the direct oversight of all arcane activities and projects within Ando Alur, as well as working closely with both the Lord Auspex and High Inquisitor to ensure balance and security within the Principality. The Councillor of Land and Sea [Vanya Hileia - Space_Solstice] The Councillor of Land and Sea oversees the construction of guild halls and helps to manage the various guilds within the principality in the aim of leading to higher levels of productivity and recruitment among them. With their gentle guidance, as well as their affinity with architecture, the Councillor of Land and Sea oversees the ships and construction within Ando Alur. The Councillor also takes on the role of presiding over the Alurian naval forces, working closely with her sister counterpart in Haelun’or. The Seats of Grace The Seats of Grace are granted to those of honourable merit and high prowess. These Alurians sit below the Council, but still hold an immense amount of responsibility. Seats of Ceremony [Lorelei Vamyar - Clonky, Ilyana, Clonky] The Seats of Ceremony are titles given to Alurians who demonstrate keen abilities to work with the denizens of Ando Alur to organize and schedule festivals, galas and feasts in the name of joy and entertainment. To facilitate these events, they may present requests to the Council for whatever materials, funds, or support they may need. Seat of Health [Elren Asul'onn - BobBox] The Seat of Health is tasked with ensuring the health and day to day safety precautions for those within the city. They often consult the High Praetorum and Lord Auspex to ensure any arcane actions are balanced and will not negatively impact the health of the city on a major scale. Seat of the Hunt [Open] Whereas the Seat of Ceremony is tasked with internal Alurian events, the Seat of the Hunt is tasked with providing and organizing events beyond the white walls. The Seat of the Hunt is expected to be skilled in tracking, archery, and the various skills that go along with the name. Seat of Poetry [Open] The Seat of Poetry is given to one skilled in the art of literature and missive making. They are assigned the responsibilities of ensuring transparency between the council and the good people of Ando Alur. They are encouraged to write their own poems, literature, and works of art in their own time to be spread across the continent. The Four Podiums The Podiums sit in the throne hall of Ando Alur and await the statues of the heroes to come. Alurians, or their allies, which perform great feats in the name of the city will receive a statue of their likeness made from the finest marble of the white cavern. There are four podiums: [Out of Character Info] Want to Get Involved? 23. [!] By the authority of the High Courts, the Goldhand Clan's Grudge, "The Golden Grudge," has been approved. [!] The angry scrawling of a furious hand sweeps across the tome elegantly, yet emotionally moved. Dorimnur Goldhand, Clanfather of the Goldhand Clan stands, his eyebrows furrowed in frustration and rage. In front of him, the Book of Grudges. “Enough es enough. Oi ‘ave waited long enough. T’is ends now.” The Goldhand growls as he puts his final mark upon the sacred pages. He pivots on his heels and leaves the chamber, clenching his fists. The Wronged: Clan Goldhand The Assailant: Hekkaes Anvilaxe Ivar Anvilaxe Uldraek Anvilaxe Githaic Anvilaxe The Wrong: DISHONORING TUNGDIL ONCE, by allowing and perpetuating a corrupt contract between the honored Aurokanar Kazamar and the harrowing hosts of Khorvad, the Inferi. This was done by permitting the then elder Githaic to conduct trade with the enemies of the Brathmordakin against the advice of the honored Dorimnur Goldhand. This heinous act was heightened when Uldraek Anvilaxe then attempted to cover up evidence and slaughter Githaic as he confessed. It is believed that Uldraek, in fear of the Inferi and Githaic, allowed this. In addition, Uldraek himself is believed to have orchestrated the entire conspiracy with the Inferi. DISHONORING TUNGDIL TWICE, by a repeated pattern of three Anvilaxe Clan Lords, Hekkaes, Ivar, and Uldraek, who actively hindered the trade of honored khazadmar, twisting it from the honorable worship of Armakak into a malevolent tool to force their will upon others. Thus subjugating the domain and authority of the Merchant Father as their own. DISHONORING TUNGDIL THRICE, by repeated attempts of undermining the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, it’s laws, and it’s establishments. Such occurrences include: Kinslaying and disfiguring a body of an honored dwed, purposefully attempting to undermine khazadmar businesses such as Armakak’s Coin, and the tainting and abuse of the Goldhand Clan and it’s traditions for personal, monetary, and political gain. Date of Wrongdoing: 3rd of Malin’s Welcome, 1791 Terms of Settlement: FOR the mentioned wrongs, Uldraek Anvilaxe’s punishment will be through gold itself. He will remove his left hand which is to be cast in gold and given to the Goldhand Clan Father Dorimnur Goldhand. In addition, Uldraek Anvilaxe will be reminded to abandon the Goldhand Clan name as explicitly stated in the Mandate from the High Courts issued 3rd of Malin’s Welcome, 1791 if he has already not. MORAG SENDS HIS REGARDS. THE BRATHMORDAKIN WILL SEE TO THE TRUTH. NARVAK OZ URGUAN, NARVAK OZ BRATHMORDAKIN.
  24. PACT OF SAND AND DRAGON As the Osanorian people have lived in peace for years and the kin of Yavok have fought and died for centuries, two races, both creed and identity form together to make change and lead their people into a bright and glorious future. The peoples of Clan Ireheart and Osanora agree to meet annually every 5 years to discuss renewing the following pacts. PACT OF TRADE Clan Ireheart and the State of Osanora agree to a Trade pact, enrichening both parties. I - That the traders from both Osanora and Clan Ireheart are given full permission to sell and trade with Dwed and Osanorian alike. II - The Taxing of stalls and selling items are allowed in full, and both parties are given full authority to tax Merchants selling goods. PACT OF DEFENSE I - Clan Ireheart agrees to fully protect the borders and the citizens of Osanora against any foreign entity agressing on Osanora. II - Osanora agrees to pay 950 barels of bread every stone month (4 stacks of Haybales) in return for protection from the Kin of Yavok. Felipe De Medina Count of Osanora Axel Ireheart, Clan Father of the Ireheart Clan
  25. [!] By authority of the High Courts, the Goldhand Clan's Grudge has been approved. Let this slight be put right. The Wronged: Clan Goldhand The Assailant: The Ocean and its expansive depths The Wrong: DISRUPTING THE GOLDHAND CLAN ONCE, by the attack of a Kraken during Clan Lord Dorimnur Goldhand’s 200th Birthday Party, disrupting the festivities and demanding it to be slain during the gift-giving procedures. DISRUPTING THE GOLDHAND CLAN TWICE, by the permanent scarring of Clan Lord Doirmnur Goldhand’s right pectoral during the defense of Aegrothond in the lands of Arcas by a pair of adult Basilisks, forever leaving the mark of the sea upon his skin. DISRUPTING THE GOLDHAND CLAN THRICE, by the removal of Clan Beardling Davli Goldhand’s left foot through the actions of a tiger shark, taken from him at an age far to young for a dwedki during the mining of Ironglass by the Worker’s Guild. Date of Wrongdoing: Multiple Dates, written on the 12th of The Amber Cold, 15 SA Terms of Settlement: FOR the mentioned wrongs, the Ocean shall send a representative to the courts to settle the grudge in a peaceful matter, as the Aurokanar are an agreeable folk. Should no representative be sent on behalf of the Ocean, the settlement shall be paid in jewels and blood. The Sea shall be plundered of its goods and its hostile inhabitants slain upon the approach of any Goldhand Vessel. NARVAK OZ URGUAN, NARVAK OZ BRATHMORDAKIN.
