  2. Hello everyone I am xepphir and I am the lead builder in the Stygian Hollow settlement. Today I am here to give my great thanks to those who supported me and assisted me in this long journey. First of all I need to give great thanks to ColonelKuehl1 for trusting me as a lead of a project this big, even being my first one, and giving me full artistic freedom. I must thank Kuehl for finding me great assistants after he saw that I was struggling to carry onto this project alone after spending day and nights on it. I need to give a great thanks to Hotbox that took into his hands the build when i had an hard time due to my personal health and giving his personal touch to the build, but still respecting the style and the layout of it. Thanks to Frenchless_fry, worldprincessii, trnsparentsoul, Cappor, Pakkleaf the interns, the smaller buildings and the details were created to bring the build alive. Thanks for the other ones too that tried to help in their own way by decorating and stress testing the build to make sure that it was safe. I started this build alone and I ended it with a beautiful team, stronger than ever. This was my first big project and I will remember it as a great success thanks to the help of you guys! If I remained alone in this I don't think i would have been able to complete this. I am really happy i found a great team like this and I'm happy we were able to work together, i hope the journey of this settlement will be a fun and interesting one and i hope we will provide a great role play environment! A Tombkeeper's Diary "Return" ~o.O.o~ [Music] A bright, sunny day washed the dwarven mountains with gentle warmth in contrast to the cold and crisp air morning air, birds sang their songs and boars drank from the many fresh water lakes Urguan's valleys held. Any remaining early dew clung to the tall grass as afternoon was fast approaching, though the time of day was not the only thing making a return. Far below the cloudless, sun scorched sky trudged a lone dwarf hauling a cart of hewn stone blocks. His green war paint glistened as beads of sweat streamed down his mighty forehead and onto his thick black eyebrows. Angr Ireheart, a dwed of Dreek's bloodline, marched up the winding Urguani roads with an orange and gray banner mounted to his cart flapping in the breeze, his eyes spoke of growth and grief as his few year departure into the expanse of untouched wilds had surely moved him. His beard was longer, his body had been refined and his wrists though bruised, were bandage free once more. His gaze flicked up at the sound of a distant scuffle further along the road, and Angr could see it. A bandit, while he wasn't a Ferryman he was human, and in typical human fashion was preying on anything lesser than them. As he approached, the injured elf cried out for help and was promptly bashed in the head with the hilt of the bandit's shortsword, though Angr would pay no heed to the situation as it was not of his concern. Once he had passed, the human had called out to him. "Hold it, just where do you think you're going, short ****?!" Angr again chose to ignore the petty thief and continued to lug his cart towards a crossroads further down the road. "Don't tell me you're as dumb as this knife-eared scum! I'm talking to you!" He persisted, walking after Angr with his sword still drawn. "Shut et, boy. Ahm buseh." The Ireheart growled as the crunching of gravel under their feet continued to fill nature's otherwise blissful silence. The bandit immediately charged him with a scream and swung just short of Angr's cloak, though he would not be given another chance to slay his opponent. In a swift motion, Angr's rugged hand reached up and grabbed the man by his family jewels at which point he yanked the bandit down by his balls and onto his knees. The dwarf uttered no words and offered no remorse as he wrenched the shortsword free and drove it through his forearm. "No! No please I-" He begged as he was cut off by a solid crack to the temple. Angr silently got up and approached his cart, briefly browzing the selection of giant stones before settling on a fairly heavy piece. He hefted the torso sized brick to the dazed man and took in his features, noting that he was easily no older than twenty as he raised the stone over his head. "Please! N-" And that was that. A sickening squelch echoed into the surroundings as part of the bandit's brain was ejected from his now crushed skull. He looked up to the cowering elven woman and gave her a slow nod, this was not to say she was safe, but rather, to run. She needed no explanation as she immediately scrambled to her feet and took off in the other direction. With solitude restored at last, Angr's single eye settled on the young thief as he sighed, undoing the ties to an iron mask on his work belt. Angr shoved aside the large stone and began carefully tieing. The mask to what was left of the man's face and once he was done, hefted the body to his cart. "Yu were sadleh mesguided, may Dungrimm see t'es beacon and gentleh bring yu tu yur rest, young'in." He muttered. Many hours later, Angr would arrive at the capitol of the Grand Kingdom, his absence seemingly unnoticed. He would pass by many dear and familiar faces as he loaded his stone cart onto a rickety lift and sent it below towards the Worker's Guild. While descending the stairs, something caught his eye that was nailed to the bulletin board, a paper recently published regarding a competition for Grand Architect. "Tae fock es t'es shoite?" He grumbled, tempted to remark on how the only other able builders he knew were Grudgebeared and Magni. "T'es ain' ah competition, ye daft focken Frostbeard, ye need tae foind tae best, nae tah most ambitious!" He shouted, tearing up the announcement written by Azkel. "Ye wannu kill 'alf ov Urguan by 'avin teir focken new triangle 'ouses fall ontu t'em, ahm not gonna let t'at 'appen..." He grumbles, continuing to complain as he retrieves his cart at the lower section of the city and tugs it towards the processing area. "Ah keep tellen t'em Frostbeards ain't good fer anehfing otha t'an treason..." Angr lets another huge and stressful sigh escape him as he slumps into a seat within the Worker's Guild headquarters, unfurling blank parchment out in front of him as he begins to draft new designs he may be able to use for the competition. After a while though, an idea would stick with him, one that was sure to prove just how qualified he was for the job.

From atop my tree trunk dwelling, I watch; Sailors rowing home with fresh sand skippers, Hunters turning a roasting boar over the fire, Brewers harvesting barley and berries, Beardlings dashing about the fields, Seers scaling the mountain for wisdom, Snails keeping a watchful, beady eye, And farmers tending to the first seeds of Sun’s Smile. It was then, as the earth concealed that single seed, a passing wind came. It was the same brisk and warm call that guided me to Hefrumm long ago, the same wind that urged me to lead my kin. A breeze sent by Anbella herself, that has called me to serve once more. Just days before I first embraced the wooden throne, I met a humble, honorable, and quick-witted brewer. He stood by my kin and fought hand in hand with me for everything Anbella’s Hearth deserves. It is now that I stand alongside him, and serve as Grand Queen to the newest Grand King of Urguan, Levian’Tol Grandaxe. I think back on my journey as High Chief, remembering how I gazed upon this quiet village with wide, naive, and eager eyes. I look now at the Village of Hefrumm with pride, honor, and the warmest of Anbella's love. Even through the silent winters and sparse tavern nights, I would go back and do it all again if I could.   7. Like clockwork the Magpies Mica cares for flew out across Almaris, delivering the newest edition of the paper to all that ask. As well as a few large stacks delivered to taverns, meeting halls and one particular bath house within the Mitzuul Grove. The Mitzuul Grove is a small vassal lying due south from the capital of Urguan in a nestled hollow behind the national port of the kingdom. this wonderful corner of the world, studded with fruit trees and soft light, is home to the Kharajyr, a kind and welcoming people known for their peaceful and laid back ways of life. finding myself wandering down to the village I ran into a dear friend of the family, Mister Rha'kir Morthawl. who wonderfully agreed to an interview! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Wonderval! THE GRAND KINGDOM OF URGUAN ELECTION RESULTS A stone week has passed since the announcement of the new election in Urguan, and ever since votes have continuously rolled into the Lord Regent’s hands. Today, the voting concluded, leaving Lord Regent Azkel Frostbeard to count the votes, discount those who didn't meet requirements, and brief the nominees on his count. Only minutes ago, the Lord Regent presented the votes to the Clan Lords of Urguan during an open council session, resulting in the vote count passing by majority vote. Through the combined powers of Urguan’s Folk and the Clan Lords, a new Grand King has been chosen, a dwed who shall be officially crowned in his soon-to-come coronation.   9. THE GRAND KINGDOM OF URGUAN ELECTION With the recent announcement of Grand King Norli Starbreaker’s descension from the throne, the Council of Urguan acted quickly to begin the election process. Only a stone day ago, the Council passed a new Voting Reforms Act, declared Lord Chancellor Azkel Frostbeard Regent, and nominated 3 dwed to campaign for the title of Grand King: Alaric Grimgold, Dorimnur Goldhand, & Levian’Tol Grandaxe. With the nominations complete and Urguan’s Folk ready to choose their new Grand King, I, Lord Regent Azkel Frostbeard, hereby declare the start of the Election. This election shall run from today, the 1st of The First Seed, 27 SA, to a Stone Week from now. SECTION I: THE NOMINEES For those unaware of how the election process works, to run for Grand King, one must be nominated by a Council-recognized Clan of Urguan. Below are 5 points outlining the nominee’s campaign promises: Alaric Grimgold: As King, I would further the infrastructure pushed by my Clan and those of our allies. More public farms for use, more railways to facilitate our travel, and a working ferry system at our southern port. As King, I would seek to strengthen the defenses of Urguan by providing a fort and rapid route to get there in each demarcation of land we own. Additionally, a council of our most respected war veterans would be assembled to aid the Grand Marshal. As King, I would not bring Urguan into any defensive alliances until we are able to stand upon our own two feet again. We have a network of vassals to call upon, but we can do more to strengthen our own nation and their settlements. As King, I would treat the entire nation as if they were my family, removing my Mask upon all sovereign grounds touched by the Grey and Orange of our banner. No clan would be seen as above the other, and any would be able to openly bring forward concerns or suggestions of the path of the kingdom. As King, I intend to make no promises I cannot keep and serve with the honor I have been known for in my century of service to our glorious nation. Our nation is only as strong as the hard working Dwarves who it is composed of, but such a nation deserves a King who will maintain its honor. Dorimnur Goldhand: As King, I would transform my success in creating the realm’s largest worker’s force to the Grand Kingdom as a whole. As King, I would revitalize Dwarven craftsdwedship to new heights, bringing back our cultural crafts which have rivaled the other races for centuries. Lost arts which we had used to take pride in creating will be restored, and in such, will bring about a new cultural age for the Dwed. As King, I would strengthen the connection between Guilds and the Council of Urguan. Guilds are the backbone of our people, and are just as representative of Urguan’s Folk as the clans themselves. As King, I will prioritize expanding our internal infrastructure, including the expansion of our mines, railways, city utilities, vassal holds, & guild capabilities. As King, and as a nominee, I will not make any promises I cannot keep. Kings of the past have failed to live up to campaign promises, and even things proclaimed during their reign. Under my rule, my word will be upheld, and my promises shall be as well, as seen in my past half-century of servitude for the Kingdom. Levian’Tol Grandaxe: As King, I will ensure the Book of Grudges is held to the highest standard, and its grudges properly marked out for Dwed to see for centuries. As King, I will expand on Norli’s vassalage work, a task which I assisted in during my time as Grand Steward. Vassals deserve to have a voice in our government, and I shall create a system which gives them such. As King, I will ensure that the new generations of younger dwed have their voices heard in the Kingdom’s government. As King, I will not keep secrets from the Council or Urguan’s Folk. I will rule with transparency to best ensure that my actions speak for Urguan as a whole. As King, I will expand our diplomacy to smaller settlements and nations, rather than attempting larger alliances with their larger counterparts. Assisting these groups is essential in developing a long-lasting peace, and through our partnership, we can help others thrive. SECTION II: VOTING The voting process is one that aims to be used primarily by the active members of Urguan’s Folk. With the passing of the Voting Reforms Act, all outlined requirements on the document shall be used in this election as well.
