         -The economy could maybe use a bit or work (Like always), although my main issue with the economy is that items and goods don't exchange hands nearly as often as they should, and merchant RP isn't a thing.

 

I agree with most of the points here. There just isn't enough dynamicity in Lord of the Craft's world because, even in the unoccupied territories, there's someone who rules it. I think that certain organizations that have like 5+ active members should at least be able to get a small den in a neutral territory. And, I dislike the nexus grind as well. I think the materials should just be harder to find more than rewarding for grinding, because grinding isn't really fun at all. There's a reason they call a day long period of boring days 'the old grind.'

The event team isn't that bad; The problem is with the mentality the event team gives the players. You see, there's nothing that stops a player from emoting a couple of birds floating overhead, a den of wolves living in a cave, a bear attacking a maiden on the road, a spider looming the corner of an abandoned building, or a festival celebrated in the name of some gods with the players performing as performers. However, there just aren't many people who do that sort of thing. The server is too focused on violence and magic and other things that it's almost as if a performer or a jester couldn't exist in this kind of environment. They'll either get robbed, or killed, or someone will take offense and want to fight with them.

This. Having warclaims in seperate worlds means you can't retreat or run away without being killed or soulstoning. I remember the warclaim at the Crossroads where it was Oren Vs Urguan and Urguan had the Black Scourge. When other nations found this out they arrived probably mid-warclaim to fight Urguan which was perfectly fine and possible in rp. That cannot happen at all in warclaims now. Nor can you have a group arrive late for a flank, which would almost definately happen in rp.

I'd also like to add the fact that much of the staff team sit and watch players break the rules then give them a hefty ban instead of stopping or trying to prevent it before it can happen.

In addition I've basically had to ask for events to happen. The ET never just show up and provide events (from what I've seen.) I've been on the server for over two years and I've only walked into an event a couple times, and both times it was 'oh no! (insert monster here) is attacking the city! kill it!!11'

"oh no! (insert monster here) is attacking the city" is what a lot of players ask for. That, or hunting some monster. I've taken many of these requests and I'll admit it's pretty tiresome, and yeah there are events that don't really incorporate a lot of lore -- sometimes. 

 

My pet peeve is people who merely use the ET to farm for items, i.e. PvE events or, in some cases, players have even told me that they want X monster to attack so they can have its scales and make a shiny new MC item. I understand that items can be important to roleplay and how one can become enthralled with it, but idk, not personally a fan of it.

 

And what sort of events have you asked for in the past?

Can we also talk about @Kowaman allowing wolfkite1 to use a hacked client. Why are the Dev team allowed to permit players to hack, testing or not. They have a test server for that and other devs for that.

I'm offended that you're even asking. We've been stating what hasn't been working for years, gm/admin staff just doesn't care or doesn't listen.

 

People hate nexus, and people think that the maps are too big/too spread out. There's some fringe **** like too much lore, and the addition of new races like monkey people, but the core problems are nexus and the amount of settlements allowed to exist.

Here's what's wrong, we let mistakes occur and the Admins swipe it under the rugs to cover their own asses.

 

Jistuma accepting crystal cat lore all because it looks cool.

Lego xbox  and "I will ban the whole orenian empire."

501 and the undead in athera and still now, he has control over the entire idea of antags. 

Shala as GM and his attempted take down. 

Freema, Raptor, and merrymoogle and their gm clique.

Thomas and his staff clique.

Thomas being LT when he thought half the ******* magic was fancy voidal magic.

Jistuma and Telanir 'fixing' plugins and breaking the entire repair plugin. 

Dohvi and his amazing FM decisions putting the entire server into a riot. 

Leowarrior approving of a elder player doing a backflip to dodge a potion, drawing and notching their bow, and firing in a single **** emote.

Kalamoot or Tythus turning away Fishbones who offered to be a dev if he could fix nexus and gets turned down because he wanted to fix it.

Harold and the econ team creating a way to turn duped items into minas easily, yet don't care to investigate.

Flam being allowed to go around and **** with lore he has no idea or no care in the world to learn more about it.

Shiftnative and other map makers to go elf crazy on every map.

The admins and rocky limiting the ET from doing events, we got plenty of people like porknchops sitting around.

The admins and ETs forcing railroaded events on us.

Ang and his Mordring cult abusing their pex to protect their overpowered, unsupervised group.

Thomas using his LT privleages to protect runesmithing as long as they taught him.

Nazdus helping maly and tsuyose pull players into TS to oocly build up the Empire.

GMs sitting in TS watching players ask for another nation to declare war for no reason, just to help them out. Then the additional bribes and blackmail come through and still they do nothing.

The admins forcing safe rooms all over the server and forums to 'protect' lotcs g rating.

Dev privilege, sometimes they deserve it, other times they don't.

Various staff members altering the posted rules to fit their standards and protect their friends.

Staff members aiding in creating a toxic environment where you have to be brown nosed to even get help. 

The Admin team, pre Eula nearly causing the server to go bankrupt. 

Players being targeted for no reason other then disagreeing with staff.

No staff member other then Wrynn being brave enough to handle the dozens of hackers on lotc. 

Nations being allowed to wage war for no reason except ooc disagreements and hatred, Oren vs dwarves every map.

LT and MT being allowed to morph magic into their own image and being allowed to limit players all because they dislike them oocly. 

Staff being forced out of their positions from server wide cliques, care to share about your experience sky or frott?

Team Leads being allowed to prevent qualified players from joining their team all because of skype or ts disputes.

Some players pasts being forgotten and others not, what's different between malgo and dpm, priceflash and yekim?

Years of culture being modified to allow special snowflakes their enjoyment too.

Admins refusing to ban duping rings because it means punishing 50 plus players.

Ets and LTs being allowed to act as GMs when conflict rises in their land.

Teegahs pugsy going unnoticed and no gear even returned.

Constant abuse of PRO in regions such as Haense and Oren.

Constant promises of changes yet every time we get close to change and a problem occurs, everyone jumps ship.

Defender Default and Powergaming, enough said there.

The great Dwarven Meta Horn or the great homing pigeons.

The promotion of Team Leads who do not care for their position, much less the server.

Kowaman and Josh with their stun batons, some are still around!

Race for the wool being brought in as a fun event and it was actually brought into server lore as well, why?

The entire topic of perma bans, yet look at priceflash, me, pyro, Dpm, nodric, so on.

Hidden alts of players wishing to hide out on the server having every trace of themselves hidden.

The cost of getting a third persona being higher then just buying another account.

 

I think that's enough venting, did I list enough? @Lark @Telanir @501warhead

 

Also @Teegah if you and telanir would look at player interactions with mass amounts of diamonds and diamond armour crafting, you would find out who's duping. When you fucks watch as a player crafts 64 diamond chestplates and don't think,  how can he get that many diamonds, you aren't qualified to look for dupers then.

Pvp is worse

It's how the dev team works

 

Just listen and we would actually congratulate you for once.

I'd rather go back to vanilla pvp where it's easier and more fair and no God forsaking racial buffs to keep the balance. If you don't know how to balance don't mess with anything and just keep it with vanilla. 

 

Less settlements as well please. I lose track of all the locations. Small settlements are fine but not too many.  No big cities and they soon become empty.

Banditry is currently being hindered due to fast travels from point a to point b with little to no walking. Basically one can now travel anywhere they like without caring about bandits on roads or any sort of villainy rp. I feel like this could be one of the easier problems to solve.

Good:

 

Excellent quality plugins

 

Successful integration of PvP into a roleplay environment

 

Extensive, rich lore

 

Long history with a large backlog of players

 

Immersive world and environment

 

Bad:

 

Staggeringly awful organization, management, and direction

 

Awful player attitudes

 

 

         LotC is actually pretty good, and the pieces are there for it to be incredible, but there is a very real problem in that we have awful organization of things such as staff teams and lore, our management has issues with communication, and overall, there doesn’t seem to be a combined interest in the direction the server is going. This is the root of LotC’s problems, and if it were to be fixed the rest of the server would follow.

Remove the all elf races and we'll be fine.

Also remove all magic.

Hand out permabans for cybering.
