livrose 1594 Popular Post Share Posted January 31, 2022 THE KARENINA ACCORD [!] A painting depicting Her Royal Majesty, Emma Karenina, Queen-Consort of Hanseti-Ruska In the year 409 E.S. was held what was by all means an extraordinary meeting of the Queen’s Council, though it was planned with no greater purpose than the rest. A casual get-together of various members, running through upcoming missives, queries, and events. Instead, however, much more came to the light at the Queen’s table that night… for lively conversation was sparked, stemming from a proposition one of the young girls, Erika Barclay, had voiced, which soon latched on. A glimmer of hope for the young women of the Kongzem was lit. It bore the memories of women of yore; Emma, Princess of Ulgaard; Sosina, Baroness of Mondstadt; Marcella Barclay, Lady Palatine; Viktoria of Metterden, Queen-Consort and Countess of Metterden; Marya Kortrevich, Lady Speaker; and countless other women who had rose to prominence in the Kingdom, whether it be as Peers, Aulic Councillors, or any of the other opportunities the Kingdom offered. Their discussions began to take shape - murky at first - but would soon form the premise of their plight. The Karenina Accord started with one clear goal, the first push; implementation of absolute primogeniture within the Kingdom, so that the firstborn child, regardless of gender, shall be the one to inherit the titles of their fathers and mothers. Since that evening, the women of the Queen’s Council and wider Kingdom rallied - Koenas Emma as their figurehead - protesting in the streets, the square, calling for justice and a legal push for womens’ succession. Each supporter sports a pink rose, pinned to their breast. Organisations such as the National Geographic Society have outwardly supported our plight, re-opening their Exhibition on Notable Women: our movement will only continue. We want to spark conversation, bring the case to debate in Duma - to make historical progress. The Karenina Accord is not a mere call to women, but the men who support them: husbands, sons, brothers, friends, and many more. We meet in a few saint’s days, to commemorate the NGS’ re-opened exhibit. Spoiler Tuesday 4pm EST SIGNED, The Women of Haense
shay 2201 Share Posted January 31, 2022 The Duchess of Valwyck had been faced with a multitude of tragedies over the past few years. Her life first plagued by the unexpected loss of her youngest brother, Marus. Although petty, and brash, his loss was still astronomical to the woman, and the after affects were felt for years - only dominoing when followed by the loss of her sister, the loss of her sister-in-law, and the loss of her mother. It was no secret to any close to the princess that her days recently had often been dark, plagued by regret and a pitting state of despair, but today was different. For the first time in years, the Baruch found herself rejoicing in the opportunity to leave her home and keep. The clouds on the horizon felt to be clearing - a sense of renewal and opportunity. A sense of hope, and pride, filling her small frame. The road ahead would be difficult, surely. Plagued with nay-Sayers and disbelievers, but it would be worth it. Anastasya smiled, a rare - but genuine, smile, as she moved off with her nosy daughter, and heir to the Duchy of Valwyck.
