Perhaps not in your part of the world. Welfare in Scandinavia is quite decent compared to the rest of the world. It's made to insure people's welfare after all! Don't get me wrong, I think welfare's a very good concept, but as with a lot of good concepts, it can be rough to make it work properly. Considering the amount of taxpayer money that our governments spend each year on welfare, 1/5th of it going to unsuitable candidates is a huge waste of wealth that could've been spent on more important things like our poorly funded elderly care or our 3rd world roads that take 1-2 months to fill up a pothole after they've blocked off the road for a week.
