Or just have an admin own all of the lotc discords. it wont stop backdoor deals etc but yknow, at least theyd be easier to monitor, though it wouldnt stop players from making private discords to plot etc

I feel that players make these Discords as a way to autonomously have control over their community - IE, circumventing Admins. Think it would generate the result you describe.
I'm heavily in favor of a bottom-up approach than the top-down. Player leaders need to assume full ownership over their community and apart of the server's broader identity and do the things that need to be done, such as discarding Discord, gradually or otherwise.

Please stop taking longer to ban pedos and actual threats to the server than you do to ban leaders who have friends outside the server if you actually want the road to hit 500 thanks

Riding off Narthok's status update yesterday....three years for forum warnings to expire is dumb. One or two years should be the maximum especially since you cannot appeal them and ten is a ban.

@NotEvilAtAll I really don't like this cringe culture of being ironically self aware / disdainful of one's hobbies. If you like something like something. If you don't like something don't like something. I enjoy LOTC I don't understand why people do this elaborate 'heh mineman, heh i'm just here ironically' song and dance. Seems strange.

I, for one, love when people don't get banned for breaking server rules and then follow up by making an alt account that makes fun of the entire situation and victim and receive no punishment for that either.

I think its really sad that a lot of serious issues will never get addressed until a forum post is made to rally the mob to scream until upper staff does something to placate the upset individuals for a week then it goes back to how it always was
