Professorus that is actually wrong, they try to RP with you, but they get swarmed by others trying to get RP aswell, that there is so many around them so they are forced to PVP.

Yep they can't even rp because of instant attacks on both sides. Something needs to be done.

I'd prefer the things we have in Fiandria (feral elves) but unique for each area/nationy type place. So basically, players vs the environment. No one big antag, just a lot of little groups that are upset with us.

There are books with information about it and any alchemist could essentially experiment with it until they get something of it. Same way homunculi are made, mostly by accident in the beginning

It doesn't make sense to me. If people are learning something that's meant to be extremely advanced through "trial and error" and books, shouldn't this self-teaching of advanced alchemy apply to nearly all magics then? 

Magic is more physically/mentally involved; it requires more practicality than alchemy. And again the books just outright tell you how to do it...

You have to have logic and **** in your magic so you can RP it properly, though

Magic works by its own properties. There is a science behind it that most mages know, but I'm unsure if you could apply too much conventional science to it.
