I forgot there can't be nation roleplay because there can't be roleplay because people take everything personally and are terrified of negative interactions in character. There can't be compromise because everyone has to get exactly what they want, and if something happens in character that isn't what they expected they'll pitch a fit. It's a sad state but I guess it's the state the server is in.

Ultimately, nobody can force you to roleplay anywhere. While it's disappointing to see a playerbase so disconnected from the idea of compromising with anyone else or roleplaying outside of their friend circle, there's nothing to do about that. I just hope at some point you guys eventually realize you'll have a lot more creative freedom if you create your own D&D campaign or your own Minecraft server.

@MedvekomaThe real issue isn't the abstract lore, its arbitrary nature stems from the rp itself being free-form. This is why tabletop rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons will always be better, you have mechanics that factually say someone is stronger and the fight itself is dictated by concise numbers. Player intellect translated to character intellect through RP still exists, just with streamlined rules. It's one of the biggest reasons I quit lotc, and is a reason I won't be returning. There are even dumb downed tabletops with simple number sets using 6 sided dice if you find playing the norm (DnD) boring. Some even more complicated such as GURPS. Free-form RP just isn't for me, after 6 years I realized that. Dunno why it took so long considering the massive amount of LARPs and tabletops I already attend. This is ignoring the removal of lore (which I disagree with) that exists which is an inherent problem in a fantasy world or any narrative really. Lore is treated as game mechanics rather than actual story progression by the server, which removes the point of the writing itself. No lore should ever be removed, just changed or caused to disappear with viable RP. 

Most of the lore removed drives absolutely no narrative, just gives a small amount of players the ability to engage in their preferred snowflake fantasies.

If you dislike powergaming, call pvp.

Point of the argument is with mechanics you wouldn't need pvp. The lore that offers no narrative is relative and arguable depending on the piece. You don't remove lore for becoming irrelevant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plot_hole

I pretty much had the same idea, but I roleplay everything.

Lifting my fork, eating, lifting knife, sleeping, everything.

And when my character dies, it'll be dead.

But simply because I stopped being the 'kind butterfly person' I used to be know as in Aegis.

I now simply put some ooc consideration in it because people don't respect meta rules.

So that's pretty much it.

30 minutes in rp is nothing.. some proper roleplay easily takes 2 - 3 hours.

I dunno, not singling out a single nation, but that seems like a strange practice to me. I guess some people only come around for the warclaims then?

Also alot of people jsut have jobs and such so are only on on weekends or a couple night's/ hours anyway. People always underestimate the size of the server becasue they judge it on the people logged in when really thats poeple logging in and out all the time and as said not everyone playes every day.

Coming from a former Marked man who literally made gold swords a ******* norm. Aurum affects beings in a way to make it appear like iron. The only things it really destroys in seconds are lower level ghosts because they can't sustain their form. Otherwise it just effects creatures just as normal iron does to flesh. So Liches and Darkstalker bones are cut like flesh, ghouls get torn really easily by it. The main trade-off of golden weapons was how impractical they are in certain situations. Aurum being a soft metal allowed for the blade to not function and have to be well maintained to be used, it's why it was popularized against spectral creatures because of an easier way to dispatch them.

they are not bombs against people and i ******* hate watching people trying to thrust into **** with aurum swords. **** will bend like a slinky and not have any penetration power.
