[!] The pious and faithful within the city of Sin and Vermin as they cleanse it from the corruption of Iblees & the void

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Blessings be upon those who read this and we pray GOD guides you through life.

The war against Vermin and Sin has been a roaring success and has exceeded the expectations of all of us within the Friedrichian Band. We did not expect such swift action and widespread support within Canondom when we first called to action. It makes us glad to see Canondom has not fallen like Lurin.

A few days within us penning and announcing our PIOUS & RIGHTEOUS quest, the HOLY MOTHER CHURCH and Canondom rallied a force before marching into the city of Lurin. Clergy and faithful. There they handed several terms to the lord of the GODLESS city which they promptly accepted.

The forces of Canondom were allowed to cleanse the city from Sin & Vermin through whatever means necessary. All that was needed is a permit from the HOLY MOTHER CHURCH to do such. Only a few hours passed before some of the culprits behind the attacks on clergymen within the city were caught and dealt with. A great victory for sure.

Yet our work is not done. The corruption of Lurin runs deeper than expected. They have forbidden clergymen from preaching THE HOLY LIGHT OF GOD within their lands except within churches. The WORD OF GOD shall not be restricted to certain areas. They insult and mock our faith and faithful openly. This cannot be tolerated. They intervene in the testing of lurinites and draw blades against clergymen still. I shall remind you that these are the doings of the average citizen and guards within the city of sin and vermin.

When we, the merry knights of the Friedrichian band alongside faithful from aaun and veletz, tested spooks with a permit granted to us by the HOLY MOTHER CHURCH, we were met with intervention from Lurinite lackeys and drawn blades. They had no intention of letting us conduct our testing in peace. They tried sowing seeds of distrust among us by questioning our purity. An attempt to lead us into bickering and targeting ourselves. Their sly words fell on deaf ears FOR GOD PROTECTS AND UNITES THE FAITHFUL. When all failed they drew a blade on our most beloved Bishop Callahan, demanding his blood be drawn. Seems like it wasn't just darkspawn and xionists who thirst for clergy blood within those walls.

Our conclusion is this:

Lurin has fallen beyond redemption. The only way to save the few remaining and dwindling faithful in the city is by crusade. To cleanse the land of the sinful and vermin scourge by fire and blade. Destruction to the current Lurinite regime and establish a PIOUS state from its ashes.

Thus, we the faithful of Canondom, plead to you, Pontiff Sixtus V, save them from the GODLESS pit that drains purity from the faithful. Call a crusade. Crush the agents of Iblees and the symbol of sin & vermin that Lurin represents.

AVE HOREN, AVE OWYN, AVE GODFREY

A certain Adunian squire nods solemnly upon reading the missive while sitting in the White City's pub. "I am glad to see others reach the same unfortunate but necessary conclusion that my comrade and I reached after dealings with Lurin."

If GOD doesn’t exist, who’s laughing at us?” Father Stanislaw turned his attention back towards a document, to return to his duties.

"What a pathetic lie. You gross barbarian were torturing an innocent person. This is why swords were drawn." Grumbled an elf in spite to the false crusader. "Your attempt of murder was the reason swords were drawn."

"Also it was your folk refusing to be tested, was it not?"

A certain Lurinite councilman walked to the Frederick Lubrary, getting into the archives of such an institution the man would retrieve a copy of the Canonist Scrolls. Edvard moved to his office within the building, unrolling the Scroll Of Virtue, his sight moving down to the Canticle of Patience as he read aloud "So i am the Most High, and in pursuit of My Virtue, i bid my faithful this: You shall not raise a hand in wrath, nor in envy, nor in any kind of sin" He shook his head with a smile "Who can believe people who cannot abide by the principles that their GOD gave upon them? Violent people who demand blood just for the rage of things not being as they want in a State that is not even Canonist..." He moved then to the archives and stored the copy of the scroll "Maybe they are the barbarics and not us? For we have not left OUR city, and they are the ones coming for a trouble that was nonexistant"

An elderly woman read the flier with squinted eyes, a single brow poised in contemplation.

"Me vhen I lie," the Knight declared, pointing a gnarled finger at the paper. "Dumb faechk doesn't know Lurin is apart of the church!"

Mimosa Applefoot visibly cringes upon reading this paper.

”T’ey mus’ beh mercenaries out o’ work t’ae call for othahs ter star’ ah war loike t’is’.“ she’d comment.

“This is coming from a man who committed insane acts upon our citizens. Forced them to take the spook testing multiple times. To only get the same result each time. Negative.” Lumia thought as she glowered over the missive. Her eyes angry and tired. She would debate crumpling the simple papers and tossing it into the fire. But such treachery should be shown to the council. So she thought better of it.

To the Friedrichian Band,

We appreciate those zealous in the pursuit of God's will and understand the wish to aid all of Canondom but be wary not to extend beyond your own reach or assume your own virtue compared to an entire city.

We trust that there has been some form of misunderstanding on your part pertaining to the agreement struck between Our Holy Mother Church and the State of Lurin. We did not march on the city rather we had arranged the time to discuss the appropriate measures to be taken to rid the state of darkspawn and those swayed by Iblees to which the Silver Lubba agreed with Our representative there, Arnaud Cardinal Albarosa. The deal struck was that appointed members of Our and the Curia's choosing shall be permitted to operate with and at times independently in the State of Lurin to conduct actions against Xionists and other corrupt spawn of the defiler Iblees.

The Friedrichian Band was neither approved by Us or a member of the Curia to act on Our behalf in these matters nor is it a Holy Order permitted by Us in the service of the Almighty wholly. Therefore you have acted outside of Our wishes and most assuredly not as Our representatives in these delicate affairs. Do not assume to command the start of a Crusade that need not be while there are avenues still available that can save the lives of innocents and devout Canonists alike.

Calm yourselves and seek Our permission before acting in Our name. When it is possible, We will always take the path that the most number of virtuous can walk alongside Us on.

Signed,

Pontifex Maximus

Xystus Quintus

The Blue Haired Elfesse’s brows furrowed at reading this from wherever she was on her yet newly started trip. “Are ye feck’n kiddin’?!” She groaned, starting to realise just what that commotion had been about, connecting the pieces in her head.

”We’re busy conductin’ tests fer darkspawn an’ ‘deez rats come chargin’ us as th’ pests.. This’ th’ reason why ah dunnae associate m’self wit’ a religious belief..” The elfesse sighed and shook her head in disbelief, her arm starting to flare up as the paper was burnt up in her metallic hand with a look of disgust plastered to her face. “Ah’ll see ‘ow all o’ ‘dis evolves when ah’m back inna years tiem..” She muttered, continuing her journey…

Morgana would read the parchment, which her mother @Snow1770brought to the council. A loud sigh would escape her "Seriously? How...confused can that fellow be? He is even acting against what was agreed on by the church and the state...It baffles me how he got his position..." She would stand up from her seat, just to leave the room, getting ready to do some more testing within their Serene State.

An Atronach made of stone comes across the missive, the white glow beyond the cracks of his earthly body flickering faintly as the information on the paper is processed. "A belief in something non-physical, compared to the Void being physical, is delusion and plain idiocy. Arrogance and ignorance, that is what your made up prophet is bestowing upon you, idiot."

A silver clad atronach looks upon the missive along with their Brother. A low hum leaving them as they cross their arms "Pathetic... Such are cowards to aimlessly attack the innocent and weak in order to feel strong with their false sense of righteousness. We will defend the innocent from these unjust warriors and their pointless crusade, even if it means destruction of our forms, Eternal we fight, Forever we shall defend against the dark"
