It is most saddening to witness the destruction of our sod, the city of San Luciano, yet the deed
has been executed and many have lost their lives and homes. Once the city proudly stood as the heart of our Principality and now has been demoted to just rubble. The Savoyard Crown stands strong and united in such worrying times, our bold Prince has been under recovery for the affects onto him by the thanhium particles. We pray for his swift recovery and return. Our government acknowledges the valor of our soldiers and volunteers who have been searching for any survivors left amidst the wake of the destruction. We mourn the deaths of our children, siblings, spouses, parents and friends. They shall not be forgotten, but commemorated through the upcoming vigil. The event shall be headed by the most holiest, our High Pontiff as he would lead the prayers for the departed martyrs of San Luciano. Upon the conclusion of the religious matters, we hand the floor to each to express their losses, memories and what has motivated them to continue in such horrendous happenings.

In light of recent events, the famed arch of San-Luciano and her bridge were desecrated by a creature of malice. The bridge that gave life to the city, senselessly ravaged during this moment of chaos and turmoil. Although strengthened by the pride and honour of our denizens, the beloved archway fared worse during the onslaught- wilting in the battle.

Alas, the top part of our archway was blown away, yet her foundation remained strong and firm as the will of our defender and squires.

Although the brave squires of Savoy had saved the city from the amphibian menace, our arch remains the sole victim to this attack! Yet our dignity and regard shall not falter with such a becoming. Not all is lost, and with elation and resilience- we’re calling upon all skilled or determined labourers of Savoy to repair this crucial part of our history! A gallant future cannot be upheld without the maintenance of the past, and with such, those who come to assist the cause shall demonstrate the virtue and distinction our people represent.

a seat in the Patricians Assembly as well as the Mayor of San Luciano, two other appointed burgess, and the

We see fit to utilise Our powers as Vizier to decline at this time to appoint the remaining Burgess.

These Freemen shall be referred to as Burgess and are afforded this right by appointment of the Vizier.

ARTICLE III

In accordance with the Edict of Parliament, We summon the Cardinal Allobrogum to attend their duties in the Free City.

Secondly, that in accordance with the Edict of Parliament and with Our dedication to God and the Pontiff in mind, We see fit to utilise Our powers as Vizier to make an addition to the Parliament at this time in the form of three additional ordained men, resident in Savoy, to be nominated by the Cardinal Allobrogum and affirmed by Us.

These men of God shall be referred to as Lord’s Spiritual in the context of the Parliament. The Cardinal Allobrogum is afforded this right automatically upon investment by the High Pontiff, and any further appointments are made by the Vizier.

PROVISION I: AUDIT OF THE RESIDENCIES OF SAN LUCIANO

The prompt and orderly revocation of all tax exemptions within the city of San Luciano, the capital of the Principality of Savoy, is to begin henceforth. This is to include all businesses and homes but will exclude Military Installations, Municipal and Princely Government buildings, and Ecclesiastical buildings.

Furthermore, the Serene Capital will begin an audit of all residences and businesses within the city, to be overseen by the Serene Syndicate of San Luciano. These are to be conducted via checking the activity of the residency and its regular payments of tax. 

PROVISION II: RECONSTRUCTION OF THE SAN LUCIANO STEWARDSHIP
In efforts to further expand and refine the management of the city of San Luciano, the Serene Syndicate does proclaim that the San Luciano et Stewardry shall undergo a complete reconstruction.

The official mandate shall be acted on as follows:

ALL current stewards must reapply for their position. New steward applications are hereby open, and those with the necessary will to serve under the office are encouraged to apply.

Stewardry applications will be overseen by a panel of the Acting Magistrate, City Clerk, and the Lord Exchequer.

Stewards shall be eligible for a FIFTY PERCENT discount on ALL shop and housing taxes. 

Stewards are permitted to collect TWENTY PERCENT of all house and shop sales, as a personal salary.

The San Luciano Assembly has made Four Official Declarations, as listed below. They are followed by the remaining important information regarding the meeting.

The First Declaration, the Election of the City Clerk:
Mithius Dalma has been elected City Clerk of Savoy, with a vote of five for the election and one abstaining from voting.

The Second Declaration, the Election of the Second Magistrate of Savoy:
Lady Eleanore has been elected Second Magistrate of Savoy, with a vote of five for the election and one abstaining from voting.

The Third Declaration, regarding the Lord Provost:
The Lord Provost has been dissolved, with a vote of five for the decision and one abstaining from voting. Its duties have been placed upon the Council of Three, which will be made of the Three Magistrates of Savoy.

The Fourth Declaration, regarding the Assembly of San Luciano:
The Assembly of San Luciano has been renamed, with a vote of four for the decision, one against the decision, and one abstaining from voting. The name Serene Syndicate of San Luciano has taken its place, and the Syndicate consists of the same members and takes the same duties.

 

Additional Information Regarding the Assembly Meeting:
1. The General Public has yet to elect the Third Magistrate of Savoy into a position within the Council of Three.
2. The Serene Syndicate of San Luciano, previously the San Luciano Assembly, should be noted as having the following members:
Lavinius,
Mithius Dalma,
Bruce Summers,
Lint, Aubergine de las Baltas,
and Hughbert.

3. Because of Hughbert’s absence from the Meeting, every vote has had one member abstaining from voting.
4. The title of Assemblyman, as in the San Luciano Assembly, is now considered the title of Syndic, within the Serene Syndicate.

15th of Horen’s Calling

Hear ye, hear ye, let it be known that the first election of the City Assembly shall hereby open. For the plebians must be hearkened, and representation must be strengthened sustainably, as it stands as a link of the chain that holds our holy Principality. A role of bureaucracy, and that of responsibility. The following will elucidate our parameters of this selection, administered by His Excellency, First Magistrate Valentino Gradic, as GOD wills it. 

The Lottery:

This election shall launch in 3 Saint’s Days, open to all Savoyard citizenry of San Luciano. Six seats are available, and the City Assembly shall be determined by our Vessian Lottery. Anyone may buy an unfettered quantity of tickets, granted that they are eligible; each ticket is twenty minas each. This will occur within the square of our city, results being announced there as well. 

Following this indeterminate period, the Magistrate shall draw six fortunate names from a bag; those present, favored individuals shall make up the Assembly whereby. 

The Election:

As a single man mustn't muster the strength to carry the conduct of the current elections and those to come, an additional role shall be elected thus: the Magistrate. Additionally, that of an administrator orchestrating the Assembly: the Lord Provost, also formerly titled the Lord Mayor. 

These two positions both open their candidacies as of now, but requirements over the Magistrate office are more strict. 

To those who seek to run as the Second Magistrate, they must join an interview with His Excellency Valentino Gradic to determine they are adequate for this esteemed office. Those with interest should contact him as soon as possible to be prioritized. 

An election at the same time as lottery shall be opened for these approved candidates of both offices, voted on by the denizens of San Luciano. Results will also be announced by the First Magistrate.

RELIGION INTOLERANCE

Canonism, a word that when mentioned awakens the best in people, a religion that is represented and spread in almost every area of Almaris. If it were not for faith, we would have no purpose to live, nor if it were not for God, we would be lost souls, wandering alone through gloomy paths that do not lead to His Way. Our country already has a well-spread culture and religion, which creates a harmony between the state and the church. However, various people, enemies of God, will try to manipulate our people who have God in their hearts, so this way the following will come into force:

Any individual caught practicing any religion other than Canonism in public in any part of San Luciano will be deprived of their liberty. If an individual does not agree to repent to a bishop of the Church of the Canon, he will receive a fine of 150 minas, or public execution, depending on the person.

SAFETY EDICT

FREQUENT PATROLS IN AND OUT OF THE CITY

In the past few days, we cannot help but look back at the events that could have been detrimental to the safety of the citizens and the city itself. The appearance of bloodthirsty wolves from a few months ago, attacks by bandits who have no purpose in life but to be satisfied with little things that will not bring them good, and so on. Our Esheveurd Brigade is strong and trained enough to secure every corner of our city, as well as the rest of the Principality, which is why this edict is being written. With highly trained and efficient soldiers of Esheveurd Brigade, the following will come into force:

After this edict is put in power, more frequent patrols will be launched around the city walls as well as inside of it, in order for the citizens to have an insight into their safety, which our soldiers will show without any problem. The safety of the people is very important, which is why every soldier, for any brilliantly done thing, such as rescuing a citizen or discovering a possible threat in or out of the city, will be rewarded directly by the Mayor's Office.

SAVOY GRAND PRIX

After a short break and time spent on the organization within the FIE, the time has come to show the world what a real horse race looks like and how to enjoy it.

The first race in the history of Equestrian 1 begins in the very south, in the Principality of Savoy, where this idea originated. San Luciano, the capital of Savoy, is also the first racetrack already designed to provide the best racing experience to all future equestrians. The race will officially begin in 4 Saint's days, which gives the people good amount of time to think if they should participate.

Participating in this race also brings some prizes to the winners. Considering that 7 people will race in this race, the first three places have the following prizes:

I. Place: 70 minas & 'Trotter of Savoy' Championship Title

II. Place: 50 minas & Silver Equestrian Plate

III. Place: 30 minas

A Savoyard Maiden and Lord in the gardens of the Aggrade

Circa 1831

Wisps of sunlight, moreover the blow of warm air, fanfare the arrival of Spring. One might notice the many flowers beginning to bud, their petals unfolding in colours so grand that it almost looks unreal to the descendant's eye. Such impeccability, beauty and elegance they hold. Only one within God's creation can be so pure in his garden.  Like many within his garden are his other creations, man. As they grow older, it is almost essential that they find someone that completes them as wholeheartedly and as pure as they are. So their love may blossom and warm them for the following winter. 

 As a degree of Ciambellano of Aggarde, Savoyard civilians and nobility must usher their heirs to this new garden. Upon the households, it is upon the households that in the year of their heirs' fourteenth birthday, they must start looking for prosperous marriages that might uphold their families' values and future. Now, it is not always the easiest feat as a young one to find a companion that is as pure as heart as they might be. But within the next coming years, this shall be changed. 

The Blossoming of Savoy invites all ages between fourteen and thirty, though anyone unmarried above this age may join as well.  These invitees participate in Few months' grand affairs to find a marriage proposal. Within this time, we invite all ladies and gentlemen to interact with one another through events such as balls, tournaments, luncheons, and sporting events. As we must insist on the attendees of the event to attend. All festivities will be open to families and the populace. 
 

It is encouraged through these long months that gifts or some sort of token of appreciation to be given to any ladies or gentleman.

Allenamento primaverile 

 All With the oversight of The Right Honorable, Lady Joan of Alstion, a small etiquette lesson will be held within the palace throne room.  Any question the youth may have will be directed at the court's inner working to help and guide them.  As Lady Joan will be conducting all lessons, each guest is suspected to wear their semi-best attire and come well-behaved. 

Ceremonia de Apertura/ La fioritura

All ladies presented must dress in the colour of their chosen flower. Do be cautious upon picking your flower as the petals have many languages that one might speak without the words to say them. These ladies will be presented to the Church and The Royal Household of Savoy. Not only can their peers see their true grace but GOD himself will be able to judge the purity of the ladies. These ladies are expected to wear masks or robes and only address themselves as their flower.  Men will be held to a higher standard as they are the very visage of achievement. Though by the views of GOD, they can be reduced to something as impure as a dark mage. When presenting themselves they must be dawned in their coat of arms colours. They are also required to have their own customized sword at the ready. Those who do not attend with the proper attire and items may plummet on social standing, 

Following the presentation a tournament will be held against all the men, They must use their sword and armour of their house to fight to be the Champion of Savoy. The victor and the chosen flower will commence the ball with the first dance of the evening. This couple will be noted as the purest of heart. 

Muy Soplo de Primavera

Once the Champion and Flower of the Spring have been chosen, the pair will lead the crowd to the ballroom where they are expected to begin the first dance. It is at this point that any lady wearing a mask or robe will start to blossom, shedding her winter coats and revealing the colours of her dress and her visage. With each flower blossoming, the ballroom will become its very own garden where all will dance and mingle. It is recommended that everyone dances with another.

Luncheon 

The attendees are welcomed to come forth for the court scheduled luncheon to converse amongst themselves and partake in games within the Tavern. They can take this time to go off and speak amongst each other. A meal will be provided to break your fast. One of sandwiches, meats, and slow cooked soups. Drinks such as wine and champagne will be at the beck and call of any that ask. 

The Hunt for Love

Within the earlier rises of morn, the horses shall be fed and the dogs will be at flank as all the gentlemen shall begin to prepare their horses. The ladies will be expected to prepare their best woods and trekking gear. All attendees will meet in the square and stables in which both of them will separate. As each male’s title is called, a lady will have the opportunity to become their partner and ‘cheer’ for their selected suitor. Before the hunt begins, each lady will take their flower coloured handkerchief and tie it upon their males arm or weapon to represent immense interest.  If any male is not picked, they will receive a penalty and disadvantage on the hunt. The goal of the hunt is to slay the largest game they can find. The ladies will applaud and begin to prepare for the feast, making sure they look presentable. Drinks and snacks will be provided along with games. 

Knight and Damsel 

Away from the eyes of the Church, who says we can’t have fun? A simple game of Hostage or Capture the Flag. Groups will split in two, where they must pick their damsel for the other team to hide. The first knight to find their damsel is the winner! Knights hit or tagged must sit waiting to get out of prison.

After the game a small drinking competition shall be. Old absinthe shall be drunk in shot glasses, the mystical alcohol having an effect like no other.

Heliotropes Ball 

The Heliotropes Ball is the closing ceremony of the ‘Blossoming of Savoy’!
All patriarchs are obligated to attend the ball if their sons and heirs seek to form a courtship. To symbolize a blossoming of love, women are required to dress in green fabrics to represent a seedling ready to bloom. Whilst maidens dress in green, suitors must dress in blue to represent the water to the seedling.

Lo and behold for San Luciano is glorious! 

The Princely City of San Luciano, the Jewel of the Southern Coast, was founded and settled in the Year of our Lord 1836, predominantly by the former inhabitants of Luciensburg, Sava, and Sutica. Built on the site of the former Uialbenite Sutican capital, a desolate wasteland of magi and degeneracy turned into a sparse Canonist township through the Alstreim Reclamation, the City fulfilled the vision of the late Prince Ottomar of a bustling, prosperous Canonist seat of power in the South. This was much due to the proprietorship of the Duke of Corazon, Olivier Renault de Savoie, whose hardy Savoyards had settled on the coasts of Merryweather Bay, by what is now rightly called the Renaultic Sea. In the halls of the Palazzo Aggrade, the center of the Savoyard restoration, the Duke declared the beginning of a Savoyard Century - a new era of greatness. With the backing of Sutica's Canonist lineages of Waldenians and Hyspians, this manifested in the glorious proclamation of the Principality of Savoy. In honor of his ancestor, St. Lucien of Ulmsbottom, The Prince thus named the city San Luciano - reflecting its commitment to both traditional values and a vision of a bright, storied future.

The City of San Luciano is a domain, which is under the rule of the Prince of Savoy, although given bureaucratic autonomy and self-governance by the Principality. It abides by the laws and statutes laid forth by the Prince and His Grand Assembly. 

The City of San Luciano is granted privileges under the Gradic Rights which outline their autonomy and freedom from serfdom. The Gradic Rights were given to the Imperial City of Felsen during the reign of John II, Holy Orenian Emperor which allowed for greater autonomy to the city through a series of municipal rights. These rights came from a series of laws which gave privileges to the burghers, exemption from serfdom, and the ability for self-governance and self-defense.

THE CITY ASSEMBLY OF SAN LUCIANO

The City Assembly of San Luciano acts as the collective representation for the citizenry of San Luciano. There are six seats within the assembly filled by citizens of the city. The seats are chosen by lottery headed by the Second Magistrate’s office once every four years. The assembly functions as the legislative body of the city and is charged with the creation and amendment of law and judicial statutes.

This edict delegates to the City Assembly the following competencies of the Municipal Government of the City of San Luciano;

I. The City Assembly of San Luciano has been tasked with the creation of new laws, city ordinances, and statutes which  must be passed with a vote of majority.

II. City Assembly of San Luciano has been tasked with the amendment of  laws, city ordinances, and statutes which  must be passed with a vote of majority.

III. The City Assembly of San Luciano is hereby granted charge over the City Charter of San Luciano.

IV. The City Assembly of San Luciano is granted authority to amend the City Charter of San Luciano with a vote of  two-thirds majority.

V. The City Assembly of San Luciano has been tasked with approving the budget of the Municipal Government with a vote of majority.

VI. The City Assembly of San Luciano is granted the authority to sack any member of the municipal government with a vote of two-thirds majority.

VII. The City Assembly of San Luciano is hereby ordered to meet once every year in a meeting in which the Lord Mayor of San Luciano shall act as the head.

LORD PROVOST OF SAN LUCIANO

His Serenity, the Lord Provost of San Luciano, serves as the head of the municipal government. The Lord Provost of San Luciano is elected by popular vote by the citizenry every four years.

This edict delegates to the Lord Provost of San Luciano the following competencies of the Municipal Government of the City of San Luciano;

I. The Lord Provost has been bestowed the responsibility to head the municipal government and delegate to relevant individuals by assigning them to a post within the government and sacking any unfit individuals from their post.

II. The Lord Provost has been given the authority to veto any law, ordinance, statute, or amendment which has been passed by the City Assembly of San Luciano provided that said legislation does not have a two-thirds majority.

III. The Lord Provost is hereby granted authority to banish any lowborn from the City of San Luciano.

IV. The Lord Provost is hereby granted authority to evict any convicted villain from the City of San Luciano.

CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF SAN LUCIANO

The City Clerk of the City of San Luciano is appointed by the City Assembly and serves indefinitely until sacked.

This edict delegates to the City Clerk of San Luciano the following competencies of the Municipal Government of the City of San Luciano;

I. The City Clerk has been instructed to keep record and overlook progress of construction and taxation within the City of San Luciano.

II. The City Clerk has been tasked with the maintenance and safekeeping of the municipal ledger.

III. The City Clerk has been instructed to take note of the containments of the City of San Luciano’ storage.

IV. The City Clerk has been instructed to appraise houses and set house prices and tax prices accordingly.

V. The City Clerk has been instructed to pay, supply the goods to, and manage building, construction, and the builders themselves in the City of San Luciano.

VI. The City Clerk has been instructed to pay wages and pay for supplies of employees of the municipal government.

VII. The City Clerk is hereby charged with fostering economic growth and the maintenance of the trade grounds within the City of San Luciano.

VIII. The City Clerk has been given the power to order construction and demolition within the City of Luciano.

IX. The City Clerk is hereby tasked with creating a competent bureaucracy capable of servicing the City of Luciano.

THE  ESTATES OF THE CITY OF SAN LUCIANO

The Charter for the City of San Luciano hereby defines the legal standings pertaining to the wide variety of social strata within municipal law. Those not explicitly mentioned retain fundamental rights as dictated by common law though are not afforded the various privileges outlined below.

PATRICIANS

The Patricians of the City are the heads of influential families or influential individuals which are given certain privileges befitting of their station. These privileges also extend to the Patrician’s immediate family. The Prince of Savoy has the right to elevate a personage to Patrician status.

• Any man of patrician stock has the right to don a Coat of Arms.

• Any man of patrician stock has the right to hold land in his name in which it will stay for the coming generations.

• Any man of patrician stock has the right to be trialed by his peers.

  • May no one lay judgement onto a patrician unless of the same rank and privilege.

  • May no one claim the life of a patrician  unless of the same rank and privilege.

• Any man of patrician stock has the right to duel.

  • May no man of lower rank challenge another of noble stock.

• Any man of patrician stock has the right to settle his trial by combat.

  • May the opponent of the trial be of the same rank and privilege as the accused, lest the accused waive his right.

• Any man of patrician stock has the right to hunt within the city’s forests and properties.

  • May no one hunt the Prince of Savoy’s game unlawfully, lest they be denoted a poacher.

  • May these hunts occur not too frequently and with moderation, to allow the forest to thrive.

• Any man of patrician stock has the right to carry out Private Law against another man.

  • May neither the state nor the church intervene in a matter of Private Law.

  • May the matter of Private Law stay between two individuals, and not their families lest it become public.

• Any man of patrician stock is afforded the Gradic rights.

CLERGY

The Clergy of the City are defined as the individuals who have devoted their life to an institution of faith and learning. The Clergy are granted the following privileges. 

• Any man of clerical stock has the right to be trialed.

  • May no one lay judgement onto a cleric unless of the same or higher rank and privilege.

  • May no one trial a cleric on the precepts of faith other than the cleric’s home institution.

• Any man of clerical stock is granted permission to express their faith and minister freely.

• Any man of clerical stock is allowed to take donations without the stigma of being a beggar.

• Any man of clerical stock has the freedom to travel without harm throughout the lands in which this charter is enforced.

• Any man of clerical stock who belongs to an institution of faith and learning located within San Luciano is afforded the Gradic rights.

FREEMEN

Those of common blood that are not bound to any feudal or private contract and own property within the City of San Luciano are hereby defined as freemen and are granted the following privileges.

• Any man of common stock is exempt from serfdom.

• Any man of common stock has the right to own property in their own name.

• Any man of common stock has the right to work for coin.

• Any man of common stock has the right to trade his wares with foreign merchants.

• Any man of common stock has the right to travel freely throughout the lands in which this charter is enforced.

• Any man of common stock has the right to petition for one of the twelve seats within the City Assembly, decided by lottery.

INTERNATIONAL EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION

Since time immemorial, horses have been considered a noble animal in every aspect. They represented a form of travel from one place to another, the transport of people and various goods, but they were also used for general entertainment. There is no man who has not seen a horse in his life, but that is why a large number of people have not had the opportunity to experience the charm of real riding, as well as to witness magnificent horse races. Indeed, horses are still expensive to procure even today, especially if the horse is in demand for some more serious purposes.

Having a horse is in a way a gift, a gift that should be valued, cared for and nurtured in the way that a person would want to be treated. Having a horse can also be a nice way to earn money, if used properly, which will be very possible in the very near future, that is, with this edict coming directly from the Mayor's Office. This way, after the entry into force of this edict, the International Equestrian Federation (FIE) will officially exist, hoping to attract all lovers of horses and extraordinary races from anywhere in the world. From windy and hot deserts to the cold forests of the tundra, people will have the opportunity to either attend races that will leave only the best impression, or to participate in them and celebrate through various cities and nations, which is very possible with work and effort.

With this edict, FIE sets the following terms:

• Current president of FIE is Volmar Barclay,

• FIE will be tasked with aiding the nations with building of the racing tracks on their territories, be it either with materials of funds,

• The seat of FIE is set to be in the Principality of Savoy, San Luciano, from where this edict is both written and officially approved,

• The races are organized exclusively by FIE, just as the racetracks are made exclusively according to FIE standards,

• The number of equestrians from one nation is unlimited, but the number of teams from one nation is limited to two..

In order for this edict not to be full of information that in some way does not concern the purpose of the edict itself, an Official FIE Document is announced to be published soon, which will contain all important information about the FIE, both about the federation itself and other important aspects of it. After the document is published, equestrian teams and equestrians will be able to participate in the official races and compete against other teams and equestrians.

LOWER & MIDDLE-CLASS INFRASTRUCTURE

We live in a society where we are not all equal, be it financially or otherwise. However, we feel the need to help in some way those who deserve it more than us, be it the construction of a facility, donations, volunteer work and the like. And so, with the authority given to me, I officially publish a second edict from the Barclay Mayorship, which will initiate the construction of new and modernised infrastructure in the lower and middle-class districts.

The Mayor's Office thinks that it is wiser to start improving those parts of the cities that need it the most, like lower and middle-class districts, and not to focus on the parts of the city which are financially stable, in some cases more than usual. Construction will be underway as soon as possible, following a formal consultation with Royal Exchequer regarding budget and materials.

EDICT OF THE TOWN CRIERS

TOWN CRIERS

As one wise man said, it is not only important that the leadership of Man is established to lead a Principality, but that Man himself is knowledgeable and informed about their Principality. Town Criers are people who spread news from the mayor's office, expressing the satisfaction or dissatisfaction of citizens in public places such as parks, streets, squares et cetera. And so, with the authority given to me, I officially publish the first edict of the Barclay Mayorship, which will officially allow those willing people, people who want to do this work, to visit the Mayor’s office so that they can become the ones who influence and aid the daily transfer of information between citizens.

The Criers are permitted to be of any race, gender or birth, and must have reached the age of 12. They shall be tasked with publicly informing the Populace of San Luciano of any important news concerning the Principality, its vassals, the Canonist faith, etcetera. If necessary, which is of course allowed, the Criers may organize Gatherings of Populace with the permission of the Lord Mayor, so that they may all be informed and even discuss the relevant topics and announcements. The Criers shall be led by the Lord Mayor, and in their absence, by the Lord Steward.

SHORES

To the denizens of the Principality of Savoy, Miss Guenda of the di Sarola family extends an invite onto you, inviting you to the beaches of Savoy. Guests are encouraged to come in their finest beachwear and swimsuits, so long as it’s kept modest. A guide will be presented on how to properly dress for the beach, for both men and women.

TIMETABLE

Swimming

To begin the day, guests will be encouraged to play and relax in the waters of Savoy, with wines being served to those who are able to drink, along with some small cheese plates and other fine delicacies.

Sandcastle competition

Next, to mark the midday activities, the guests will be able to enter a sand-castle building competition, the winner of this competition receiving a sum of 115 mina. The sand-castle competition will be judged on uniqueness, structure, and creativity.

The Feast

To end off the day, guests will be treated to fine wines, cheeses from Aeldin, and an arrangement  of carefully picked Seafood, the finest lobsters, crabs, and fish in all of Almaris.

DRESS CODE

Should one wish to attend the beach party, please remember to follow the dress code. If found in violation of the dress code, you will swiftly be escorted away from the beach.

MEN

Men over the age of 15 will be allowed to attend shirtless, or with an undershirt.

Boys under the age of 15 must attend with their undershirt on.

Swim trousers are to be no longer or shorter than one's knees.

Men must keep their distance from a woman baring her shoulders (OOC: 2-3 blocks away).

WOMEN

Women of all ages will be required to wear a one-piece and a cover-up skirt.

Skirts are to end just above the feet, and can be no shorter than that.

Similar to men, Women must keep their distance from a man bearing his chest. (OOC: 2-3 blocks away).

Once out of the water, it is recommended that women put on a shawl or a towel over their shoulders.

Volmar Barclay: "People of our wonderful city of San Luciano, ladies and gentlemen, good day to you all."

Volmar Barclay: "Let me first introduce myself before moving to some more formal topics. My name is Volmar, Volmar Barclay, and as you can see, I am running for Mayor of San Luciano. One position full of responsibilities, and me being only eighteen, what could I possibly know about politics, after all ? I would say, enough to be aware of what I’m getting into, for the first time in my life, and really, I haven’t survived that much."

Volmar Barclay: "The people of our city need someone who can represent them, who they can count on, they need a person who will hear their clear messages and calls for change - this city needs such a person! Whether he or she is younger or older, people need to understand that the times where the younger ones pushed aside are long gone, because in these times, both young people can compete and young people can make a difference. The spirit of politics therefor changes ! "

Volmar Barclay: "My brothers, Jurgen and Ernst, and I learned our values from two loving parents. This is where I learned that what matters, is not your name, but what you get done. It's where I learned that you usually get more done when you work with people than when you fight with them. But, it's where I also learned that you have to be prepared to take on tough fights and that making a real difference in people's lives is what matters most. I am very proud of my father's legacy, proud of my family name, and I honor my parents and grandparents and all they taught me. But, I stand for Mayor based on my own decision, the decision that led me here today, in front of you all, to try and make our lives more entertaining and easier."

Volmar Barclay: "Ideas are plenty, but to make these ideas come into reality, I need your support, from the hard working men and women of Savoy! I have experience where it counts , right here in our bountiful town. I am proud of my record, a tavern owner that serves the people of San Luciano whenever they need, at anytime, but I'm not done yet. As Mayor, I also offer new ideas for an ever-changing city of San Luciano."

Volmar Barclay: "Quality of life also means quality jobs. And I want to create a climate that encourages businesses to follow their ingenuity and invest in their ideas. That's why I propose eliminating taxes on start-up businesses for two full years and reducing business taxes overall. One idea out of a whole ocean of other ideas, but this is only the beginning."

Volmar Barclay: "I propose to officially begin building schools, academies here, in San Luciano. The school day should not end at set time, mind you. We should open school libraries and study halls so our children will have a place to go after school. What is the better place for us all, for your children, to learn about our culture, history and traditions, if not schools and libraries ? To learn about our wonderful homeland, the Principality of Savoy, ladies and gentleman ! "

Volmar Barclay: "Finally, I propose a set of qualities and virtues that should underpin the way that religious languages and perspectives are deployed in public so that fears about this can be overcome in service of a more harmonious and enriched level of exchange in the public sphere. Our Creator, is also our beloved Father, the most omnipotent God. If we don't have faith, if we don't obey His Word, why are we here ? Just to suffer.. but not if we put the Church as our most important thing, the virtue that we go by, His Grace which we accept with wide open arms and heart full of joy."

Volmar Barclay: "As San Luciano moves forward into new times, many of our citizens question the value to them of this city staying together. I will be a Mayor that convinces people that they are important to the life and success of San Luciano and that San Luciano is important to them. That's why today, I offer my candidacy for Mayor of San Luciano because I believe I have a lifetime of experience that counts. Experience I will put to work for you."

To the great denizens of the Principality of Savoy, the Princely Household deems it befitting to host the first and inaugural masquerade to be held within El Palazzo Aggradé to commemorate the beginning of a new and bountiful era. Guests are encouraged to adorn their finest Ancient Esheveurd- the precursor to Ashford, for those who find their intellect lacking- garbs. Please note that the dress code for this event is heavily stressed, and while those who choose not to conform to such will not be thrown out as a common boor, they will be looked down upon in the eyes of the court of Savoy.

I. Feast of Saint Lucien

 To commence the night of festivities, the Hosts shall begin the evening with a fine selection of hors d'oeuvres and a delectable wine tasting. To follow, a vast array of the finest Savoyard cuisine. An attached menu is shown below,

Hors d’Oeuvres

Bruschetta Savoie, toasted crostini topped with fresh tomato, mozzarella, basil, and a drizzle of Champs de Savoie vinaigrette.

Entree

Risotto alla Adeline, Arborio rice flavored with shallots, dry white wine, beef stock, and minced white cap mushrooms.

Plat Principal

Scallops Savoie, king scallops, seasoned and seared with a variety of aromatics.

Dessert

Tiramisu, ladyfingers soaked in a strong espresso, layered between mascarpone cheese, panna montata, and dusted with a thin coating of sweetened cacao.

II. The Savoyard Sway

 In the Grand Throneroom at Palazzo Aggrade, a stage is to be erected where a quartet will play the Ancient Hymns of Esheverurd. Along with the dancing portion of the evening, a varied selection of wine, brew, and spirits will be open-tapped, where guests can drink at their leisure.
 

III. The First Lotto of Savoy

For just five mina per entry, guests will be given the chance to win the total sum at random draw. Upon arrival, seek the little Athénaïs to enter the contest.
 

IV. The Haves and Have-Nots

To conclude the night of festivities, our guests will be subject to the scrutiny of our secret judges

placed among the crowd, disguised as your fellow party-goers. Two Guests will be declared winners,

based on their costumes’ charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent.

The First Royal Nuptials of San Luciano, Savoy.

To the subjects of Savoy, and all of Canondom, it is with great benediction that we may find ourselves in a time of tradition, prosperity, and strength. The flock of pious man each day is guided into righteousness, its misguided outliers afforded the truth of GOD and are shepherded into its light as a consequence. On the year of Our Lord 1838, yet another milestone shall be celebrated for the Southern Star, once home to the Sutican Commonwealth and now known as Savoy - the marriage of its heir, Hereditary Prince Olivier Laurene, to the final princess of Sutica, Catherine Johanna, at the Basilica of Pontian III. It is with great pride and pleasure that we invite the people to witness such a momentous and joyous event.

TIMETABLE

     I. The Nuptials of the Sun’s Smile

To begin proceedings, guests will be escorted into the sun-lit basilica of Pontian III. There they will witness the nuptials between the Hereditary Prince and his betrothed, the Princess Royal Catherine.

IV. Reception of the Sun

The guests of the evening will be able to mingle freely in the palace throne room, entertaining themselves with food, drink, minstrels, and happy conversation. In addition, the Savoyard tradition of treading grapes will occur immediately after the ceremony, providing guests a glimpse of the Principality’s refined artisanry. Additional entertainments will be provided, to be kept mum until the day.
