I applied as and played as a Wood Elf named LaTerre back in 2011, Aegis. I played for a while, rather amazed with Lord of the Craft as my 13 year-old self, and even became a druid. The whole server was awesome, it wasn't like any other and still isn't, it was a beautiful experience in Aegis. I don't have any friends left from back then, and honestly I don't very much remember who I was friends with, but I still remember it as being overall a very fun place.

We switched maps to Asulon in 2012, and I had still been playing LaTerre by that time, but I was growing bored with him. I played around with others characters, many of which didn't stay around for long, and started to get into trouble OOCly. I began to hang out with people on TeamSpeak and Skype, and started having too much fun, screwing around and finding myself banned at times. I garnered a decently bad reputation, and in attempts to get rid of said reputation, I decided to pugsy in Arethor, receiving a permanent ban for that.

A small time after I was banned, the server changed maps yet again, going to one of our many temporary maps. I tried using alternate accounts, but I was still too naive to know how to change my IP and stay discreet, and so you, Danny, banned me several times.

My efforts to return to Lord of the Craft grew dire, and I lost hope for about a summer. After waiting the summer, I actually thought of a good idea. My friend had a banned account on the server, oHawkZo, and I could use that as a way to avoid applying. I appealed on oHawkZo and was (thankfully) unbanned by Braxis.

I started anew, and with a deeper voice and new personality, I was free to do as I wished on Lord of the Craft. I as well had a new IP. For months and months I played, earning myself an entirely new reputation and group of friends as Hunwald. I played all my time on the server as Hunwald in the map called Anthos, where I made friends with the White Rose and Kraltan and Orenian groups, where my base of friends remains. I was a completely different person, and it was perfect - LaTerre was a thing of the past. I was safe.

And then, the Exodus occurred. In a fit of excitement, I revealed that I was an alternate account of LaTerre, and was banned; however, this time, it was different. I changed completely when becoming Hunwald, and all my accounts on the internet and Steam were now Hunwald, and I was very restricted in ways to gain access to the server.

So, in a new plan, a desperate plan, I had my friend Burkester DDoS me and my IP was changed. I also received an alternate account from him called firestar25. I applied as this new player and played for a while, safe and unknown to the staff.

I accumulated good power as firestar25 after creating my Wilfriche character. I started talking to people on TeamSpeak again, and I was found out. This time, it was also different, the staff knew I was firestar for the longest time, except I was never banned. I essentially had immunity. I played firestar for the longest time I think out of all my accounts, even longer than LaTerre or Hunwald, and had such a clean and amazing record. I had my most fun on firestar, playing characters like Wilfriche and Sixtus.

I was then, eventually, banned on firestar. I knew instantly that I should appeal, I had great faith. I appealed my ban, and was finally, after four years of evading bans on Lord of the Craft, a free player yet again. And now here we are.

Lord of the Craft is one of the best communities in the world, as much as people like to say it isn't and hate one another. But you'd be amazed at how this server cultivates relationships. It cultivates experiences. I bet you I could create a list of hundreds of friends I've had on here and still continue to have. It's a beautiful thing.

Perhaps one of the oldest players, defeating Zarsies by a mere week!

Ah May 24th 2011... good days. The only one who currently beats me it Tythus.

What of me, glorious Sloth King?

Do you remember our fun times here on the forum while I was a wee lad?

One of my favorite moments as a kid on here was the whole learning magic with Ambros and teaching others. Was fun though short for me.

My most intense nostalgia comes when I think back to when I was sitting around when I was 12, waiting at the drop of a hat to log on to LotC the very moment it was up. It was only a week's wait until the server launched but the excitement revving up to that moment was quite memorable. I've been here since, and there's plenty of reasons I still am, most of which I shall never forget. I'd be lost without LotC to this day and really appreciate how it has helped mold my growth; I'd wager to say I'd be far worse off had it not been for the friends I made on here, maybe not even around at all. Because I'm a gross, feely person I'm going to namedrop with some stories for anyone interested in reading -- I'll never forget these experiences or the people in them and just want to say thank you. LotC forever. <3

My earliest memory of LotC was the most profound. Everyone was shouting, no one understood how names worked (when we finally got names with spaces instead of underscores I was blown away) so people just used MC names instead, and it was a mess. I, an elf, went straight to Laurelin with my brother @Thomas_River and his friend @jessbot. There, we immediately bought a platform on the farthest back tree of the greatwoods from @shiftnative to start a tavern! Within the first day of it being open a bunch of dwarves (one of which later became Ascended. Might have been @Hiebe, might have been @James; I'm not sure.) came in and had a drinking contest. Back then, the alcohol plugin not only slurred your speech but it was capable of killing you if you drank too much. It was hysterical to watch the dwarves boast about their iron-laden stomachs and tolerance to ale just before they popped.

Almost immediately after that, within a month or so after the server launching, I met @Lawrence Berell (aka N1NjAxR3M1Xx) who played Relok'oth, a fellow pre-edge edgy dark elf (keep in mind VAs didn't exist at the time so there was plenty of tomfoolery to be had). This dude impacted my Aegis time the most. Relok'oth, later Ben or Lawrence or Diabolus, started the Dark Brotherhood with myself and his other apprentice @fatwampa. We worked out of Alstion before it became New Alstion in the North when the Rise of the Undead came around. I remember frequent runins with the guards -- @mylimo7 and @Braxis always on the prowl for evildoers -- with (I want to say WaZeBoomBox but I can't remember if that was the name or not, sorry!), @Ambrose, and his apprentice who started the Mage's Guild just outside the city.

While the Dark Brotherhood grew and Ninja focused on it, I drifted off towards the newly founded force that had recently helped destroy the UAC (United Aegis Confederation or something? They worshipped Aeriel and I among others didn't take kindly to that.) -- headed by @Taiga aka Eva aka Syrenne aka simonbane, @susitsu , and another guy who went by Nightmare (not his MC name). They were held up in a lord's land (Rasta something) and were plotting with the Undead. Dark ****, so I took to it like the angsty 12 year old I was. There I met people like @Lym (never forget Pholom!) and @Thork Halblood and in turn Thork's fiance @Aviala. With them I also got into the bandit rings  that held the most power, most notably @pugsy's. Pugsy's character Guriam was my character' Sprat's best friend for a long while until one day when he and I were in Alras. He went down into his room beneath the city, got all of his diamonds, gold, and iron and split it with myself and his other friend @Lynx. The RP was very mysterious because Guriam seemed a bit off his rocker -- more than usual, anyways -- and we followed him around for a bit after stashing his supplies for ourselves. The next thing I knew was that Pugsy was swinging away at every poor person online in Alras and it was hilarious. Lynx and I dipped before any GMs or Admins got around but it was quite the experience to behold.

After that it got me to drift away from the Black Hand but I stuck close to simonbane on both my characters -- Lolindar and Sprat. They introduced me to a WEALTH of other people who I cannot remember names of. I wandered from back to my tavern in Laurelin to the gypsy camp (@Zane bb), spent some time with the orcs (Pillan and @DecoLamb were the main peeps with me and @TheImpulseHQ was Rex.), and then I landed myself, eventually, with @Thork Halblood and his wife as their adopted darkie child -- the Halbloods had little success with procreation due to the elf curse and had to adopt all of their children. There, in Galahar, I met @Lynx again and @Ivran (Roxses20 and loliwannaplay). We made fast friends and they invited me to their developing House; House Thyone. It was (another) group of pre-edge edgies and mostly Dark Elves, led by @Keziah (AnonymousMonster) and @Midnus_Anarion (doctordemento). I met a few new people like @Pliz (Plizga123), @rip rip rip (HighTinker), and @Traiton (DeadDew). We all lived in a strange house on the way to the newly developing Konisberg where @The Cordial Wayfarer (gaiusmarius8) was starting his nation. @Rilath and Ninja were occasional guests to the house, as was @~SparehoeCakes~. We -- myself, Lynx, Decolamb, and a few others alongside Braxis moved into a shop in Konisberg and we lived out our time with the first generation Sariants until things wrapped up there. I remember a lot of the Sariants there but I can't recall their names for the life of me, nor the other Dark Elf kid who lived with us.

This was the group I stuck with until the end of Aegis. I'm a little tapped out right now and have some lore to write but I hope this triggers some memories;. I've got more but not the time to share right now and I'd love to hear what others have to say and what names have brought to mind others. And, seriously, Slothboy is right. We need to celebrate. I'm talking party hard and get cozy.

I facepalm occasionally because I never explored my homeland of Asulon. People from back then will talk about it and I'll kinda just go, "Yeah, haha..?" But my beginnings were humble none the less, and I think that's what counted.

My best memories are from a shop in Malinor's shopping district along the lane past the Flormai Manor, that curious stall that was always stocked with every wool color imaginable, and then eventually lead to Haelun'or. I ran the counter of this little store that we could hardly afford along with @Baconthief who was my manager, bless his soul, and in our adventures in the world of medieval business we had a love triangle which included @The Hedge Knight (Chimlet), @Crystal (Truthseeker) and myself. Respectively they were Gavin Arnstein, Killeki something-or-rather, and Chirr Turri Ker. This even lead me to living in Arethor for a few weeks, but nothing life-changing happened there.

Of course all good things end, Baconthief drifted away and Chimlet ran off to join the first Adunians in Ildon or some-such. I left Malinor in favor of creating a High Elf to play with Truthseeker, and to this day she still lives as Aiera Seregon. Upon joining the High Elves, I began to improve as a roleplayer (or at least my grammar thanked me) and I'm truly grateful to people like @Samler and @Dohvi to name a pair. @Magicpastry, @Rickson, and @ForeverGinger also deserve mentions for putting up with me in recent years.

By Anthos I joined up with Chimlet again to start one of my favorite characters to date, Ellian Douglas. I played her for two years before she was murdered in a tragic incident late last year, and I'll never forget @Candeh~, @Shady Tales, and @Voorhis among many others who helped shape her.

However, a little over a year ago I decided to do something else. @merrymoogle offered me a place as a noblewoman for house Briarwood, located in Oren under the now defunct Kingdom of Renatus 2.0. At first I declined, having no clue about anything that Oren did. Except that it clawed at my mind for a week (probably) and finally I contacted Moogle, made myself a skin, and Ceriwyn Briarwood was born on a quiet Friday evening midnight.

I had no idea what I was getting into. Three months later I was the Queen of Oren, and I stayed like that for nearly six months, probably the longest reign of an Orenian ruler in recent history with John Frederick Horen coming in at nearly five months. Not quite, Malythil..

So now here I am, and thank you to a bunch of my current friends for helping me out last year too.
@Norman, @bulgaria is white, @Altiak, and all my loyal soldiers. Ave Savoy, and three cheers to five years.

One of my favourite LoTC moments involves both @Geo and @Tsuyose. I think they already remember what it is!!! Yes!! That's right when you faded to black whilst roleplaying son/mother!! Really makes me chuckle this memory everytime I look back! Other than that maybe when me and @DPMAGICMAN robbed @Chumpchump that was well fun. Nah actually on a level yeah when I ran Romstun in fringe that was so fun everyday getting on, best fun I've ever had on Lotc...

My n*gga. I remember welcoming the refuge of dark elves in the Realm of Hanseti. That was when I realized I got too historically convoluted and kept trying to make you all Boyars who were basically medieval Russian aristocrats and you all just hung out and ignored my drivel lol.
