Hey Fellow Lord of the Craftians, A year and a half ago I was made an Administrator of this server, and before that, I had been a GM for just as long. In other words, I have been a member of the LotC Staff for just over three years now, which is longer than most players have even been around. However, as happens with every Staff member sooner or later (with the exception of Tythus: that man will still be here when we all have kids IRL), my time has come to pass the torch. It's so awesome to finally see a large and active Administration team again now that we are five Admins strong, and now it only seems fitting that I step down. I wish the best of luck to Sky, Read, Frott, Menarra, and Urasept in moving this server forward. It's been a great run guys, and I'll always remember this community fondly. One last hurrah from me for the druids and the Lore Team though, as you guys more than anyone else had to endure my sass for the entire time I've been on LotC. Heads up! We're moving a few pages on the Nav Bar into a "Server Information" forum that will allow us to more easily and frequently update vital information! This shouldn't affect you guys too much, but it should help with any confusion that comes up :)

Theoretical question for you guys: If LotC were to go a single day without complaining about anything, would the world explode? I'm starting to believe that it would.

It's rather unfortunate that our community has long forgotten the courtesy of something known as a "warm welcome". You're welcome to your opinions, and you're welcome to have your issues with our choices, but it really is not hard to just say "congratulations" and then either PM what your problems are to us or even just vent quietly. It's really disconcerting when literally every single staff member we've added in the past year has been greeted with "good additions but how the **** did X get GM?" or "X is literally the worst choice wtf so bias". Sure, in the past people would say "there are some choices I don't agree with," but no one was ever specifically named, and now it just feels like these "new staff addition" threads are little more than chances for players to personally attack people. Think for yourself how you'd feel if you were greeted with such response upon your own promotion, because I'm sure you'd be upset if people didn't even give you a chance to prove yourself before tearing you apart. Seriously, common courtesy is all I ask.
