i don’t get why people get so salty over dying on a minecraft roleplay server, there’s nothing to really lose unless you’re carrying special rp items and i gotta tell u need to have balls for that. If you do carry important RP items (other than a ves watch halberd) on you, welcome to the 1%.......... If you’re apart of the 99% there’s nothing really important to lose, if you know you’re a loner and can’t get friends to meta-rally with you, just skip to PvP default even if you can’t do it and just die. If banditry is not RP but PvP, why would you take it in the RP way? We got monks that let you just shrug off **** for free. Here’s the benefits of skipping to pvp default if you’re an annoying individual: You’ll fast forward the inevitable There will be no headache You don’t need to feed a moderator a modreq and go through all the stupid **** You save yourself from a lot of headache The time that you spend arguing with the other person about how attacking you doesn’t feels right because you’re a mage could be used to force the PvP situation so you can soulstone and go straight up back to Roleplay There’s nothing big to lose if you die in pvp, like, what? Monkbread and the occasional iron set that you can buy within a day’s voting? Like what? pfft... food and iron is so cheap, you can regear/refill yourself incredibly easy tl;dr Skip over to pvp, it’ll save you and the bandit headache and time no one bandits for gear, its just for the fun of smashing people, satisfaction or bullying

Oh boy, I love myself some staff intervention just like when the wood elves pk’ed the Rex and complained so much on the forums we had to stop banditing their roads during raid cooldown to protect the playerbase the staff was apart of! -
Why are Nether Bricks 5 minas each, you need 20 minas for a block, this makes no sense since it’s only used for building

Food for thought: Investing time on Nexus is the same thing that investing time on Roleplay. If you don’t have time for Nexus, you should also not have time to Roleplay, meaning you don’t have time to play online games. Investing a hour doing roleplay is exactly the same thing as spending a hour doing Nexus, the only difference is the way its spent. If you don’t have a hour to do exercises, you also don’t have a hour to roleplay...
Nexus isn’t obligatory unless you want to PvP. Here’s why:
You can make bread as anyone, most high tier foods were focused on PvP
All potions were focused on PvP
All relevant weapons were focused on PvP (anyone can buy 2 iron ingots from voting money and make themselves a sword with Promising Blacksmith if they want to use that for RP).
If you don’t want to PvP, then you don’t need to do Nexus. It’s somewhat hardcore roleplayer friendly
So if you were investing time on Nexus, you’d also be investing time on PvP. An exception would be building blocks such as cobblestone and wood but we had LC back then.
Items create value because of the grind wall behind them. If everyone can make everything, there’s no reason you’d buy resources from someone else to craft something since you can just go ahead and get it by yourself. There are some people that are the exception to the rule such as Potts that got Aengulic but they can only focus on one or two tasks which is gathering while crafting (or use multiple alts to craft)
Resource nodes won’t work for a RP friendly enviroment because people would be constantly ganking these places to steal from other players.
Scarce resources to make actual gear as a grind replacement aren’t good. There’d be people hoarding too many of these scarce resources, and on times of need they’d raise the price or hoard all of it for themselves.

The thing that I hate the most on the dark mages is the constant seeking for power due to some stupid reason that is used as an excuse for being a godlike character. Of course I’ll PvP that kind of shitter, I don’t want to fight a kid that has a god complex that thinks he can solo 5 players with his super magic. I’ll never accept roleplaying seriously with this kind of person. If anything about people wanting to be an antagonist or kill players as a dark mage, they should roleplay it in a reasonable way instead of being a power creep or else I find it really hard to take them seriously. Being a powerful dark mage like 99% of the mages or dark mages doesn’t makes up for a dynamic roleplay experience most of the time because you’ll be simply overpowered and annihilated by his hentai tentacles with no chance of resistance or survival because he’s “too powerful for you weak lesser kickstarter loser non-immortal peasant”
