Long has the cold of winter’s snow and spring’s morning chill had their grasp upon us, in a manner beyond simple patterns of the weather. The stability of a people does not always equal their success, and though the Commonwealth has long been secure, the frost of stagnation is ever our greatest foe. Fortunately, it is best beaten by those very traits and talents the Petran people embody most– Creativity, individuality, and collaboration. Thus, the Autumn Courts and the throne it serves has vowed to do all in its power to reward and promote those unique cultures and individuals that make our Commonwealth what it is. We shall break from the hungers of winter and the labors of spring, and embrace the great changes of summer with great vigor.

To open this new season for both the people and their leaders, the Crown wishes to first give back in gratitude to all who call the meadows home. This shall take the form of a grand celebration, open to Petran people of any class, age, and profession, where food and drink shall flow freely from Palais Madelaine. A traditional festival held to welcome the onset of summer and highlight Petran individuality, known in common tongue as THE MEADOW FAIRE.

“Early summer is when the fields of the meadows are at their brightest, the sprawling grasslands and flower fields that make up the majority of the Commonwealth’s geography being in the peak of bloom. When the weather in the Pétrine lowlands is turning from moderate sun to deep warmth, these fields come alive for the summer festival of Blumenfest, also known as the Meadow Faire. 

Blumenfest celebrations tend to vary across the years, often reflective of what hardships the Pétrine people may have had to face in the winter and spring months. Times of food scarcity will be compensated for with grand feasts within the fairgrounds, while war and violent conflict is considered reason for prayer, and reflection before the festivities.”                     – Pétrine Seasons Of Tradition | 148 A.R.P.

The Faire shall be sprawling in its scope, incorporating each Petran house and institution into a two month showcase of skill, creativity, and revelry. All who reside within the Commonwealth are welcome to use the faire as an opportunity to showcase the fruits of their year’s labors, whether that be by selling wares and showcasing their skills of craftsmanship in the tour of the fairgrounds, or by demonstrating their martial prowess in the hastilude. 

Upon the second day of the celebrations, after careful contemplation upon his newfound leadership, the official INVESTITURE OF ALBÉRIC I shall take place in the early morning. The Archduke shall spend two days before the grand faire sequestered within the Memory Pleasance, receiving no visitors and conducting no business. He shall fast, breaking this only with water of the holy Aldtree’s pond and a small serving of bread each evening, and occupy himself solely with prayer and reflection. Upon the first day of the grand faire Alberic I may return to the city, but will not end his fast until the day of his investiture. He and the Archduchess Estera will sit awake in vigil at the Aldtree the full night before his crowning, a tradition carried from the days of Venerable Adalia I.

Once the investiture has concluded, a great hastilude shall be held in the fairgrounds to conclude the celebrations. Traditional Pétrine wrestling, known as Padagne, shall serve as a precursor to the main joust. A mina prize shall be offered to the winner of the tourney, as well as a ceremonial title to honor their victory.

The first day of festivities shall be spent entirely within the fairgrounds, with Commonwealth citizens and visitors alike welcome to roam the various tents and stalls. Each of Petra’s noble households shall display their individual cultures, achievements, or skills through various mediums of entertainment and exhibition. The various institutions of the capital city shall be invited to do the same, inviting all to experience a rounded perspective of all the unique people, trades, and businesses which call Riviènse home. In addition to these grand delights, a special performance by LANDSKAR will entertain fairgoers throughout the afternoon.

To sign up for a stall or tent in the fairgrounds, send a letter to the office of the Grand Chamberlain containing the following information. Houses and institutions already contacted by the Autumn Courts need not fill out the form.

[SUNDAY JUNE 7TH, 1:00PM EST]

“Dame Catherine claimed that she had been told by St. Juli’el – again, of all people, that we would be offered redemption as a realm, through reclaiming one of GOD’s great wonders from the pagans and beasts which inhabited Aevos. That we were to drive them from a tree blessed by the saints, a sapling born of the waters of Gamesh that had been planted by the sons of Saint Godwin, and that we would become its stewards!”

On the morning of the Investiture, Archduke Albéric and Archduchess Estera – having concluded their vigil at first light – shall be joined at the Memory Pond by the peers of the Commonwealth and their families, delegates of greater Idunia, and citizens of the Autumnlands. 

Albéric and Estera shall stand within the shrine of Saint Juli’el in simple garb, carrying no heirlooms, nor bearing any armor. They approach the congregation not as Prince and Princess, nor as Archduke and Archduchess, but as mere citizens of the Commonwealth. A representative of the Holy Mother Church shall officiate the ceremony, where water shall be drawn from the Memory Pond into a wooden bowl to anoint their brows.

The Covenant shall then be spoken:

“Before GOD and to St. Juli’el, we vow to defend this blessed tree from corruption and false gods. We swear to remember Venerable Dame Catherine’s witness, and to teach it to our children.”

“As Petra keeps the Aldtree and all that it symbolizes, so does St. Juli’el provide. Under GOD, I bind my house, Temesch of the Petra, to this covenant.”

After the oath, Albéric will give a ring of his choice to the Aldtree’s tender, who will fasten it to the tree on a limb of his choosing, akin to how the original ring of the previous Archduke Joseph I had been fastened with twine and beeswax. He shall then be presented with the Sword of the Commonwealth, but may not yet grasp it– Before the Grand Speaker, His Highness shall swear to all his people that he shall uphold the Catherinian Code, maintain the integrity of the Commonwealth, and to honor its culture and heritage. Only then will the Archduke be presented with the Archducal signet ring and the Sword of the Commonwealth, and claim both as his right. 

Peers of the Realm shall be received in the order of their precedence, each in turn approaching the Archduke and Archduchess with their present kin, and declaring their continued fealty to the Commonwealth.

“Contests will begin with both competitors taking one end of a piece of cloth, usually some sort of sheepskin, and shaking hands. Then, when the match begins, the combatants will attempt to grapple the skin away from each other as they wrestle. Only one competitor must be holding the skin by the end of the match, and whoever manages to pin down the other contestant first while holding the sheepskin is deemed the winner. After the match is called by a third party, it is considered traditional for the winner to help pat dirt off the loser’s clothing, as a show of good sportsmanship. [...] This sport is most typically worked in as part of other festivals and hastiludes, often serving as precursor to a joust.”

The hastilude shall open with several rounds of Padagne, which shall be run by members of the local Ox clan. The sport of Padagne is believed to have originated from Ox goblins who settled in the Commonwealth blending Petran traditions of chivalry with their native traditions of bare-handed combat, making it a unique and intriguing contest.

Once the Padagne matches have concluded, knights and soldiers alike shall assemble in the jousting grounds for a traditional tourney. Spectators shall be served drink and food by palace servantry, and will be encouraged to gift tokens of favor to their competitors of choice. The winner of the tournament shall be rewarded a prize of two-hundred minae, and the title Champion of the Meadows.

hen the People’s University of Venerable Dame Catherine was founded, there was particular thought put into its naming. The implication of public access, the dedication to a great scholar of the Commonwealth, and even the word University itself. How an institution titles itself says much about its purpose, and why this term was chosen over ‘Academy’ or ‘College’ comes down to scope. To call ourselves a University implies that our interests are not limited to lectures and debates, extending to the pursuit of new research, the sharing of knowledge, and contributions to the overall academic community. Indeed this has always been the intention, one that shall now be acted upon with the official formation of our first wholly research-focused program. 

In honor of a notable researcher and natural scientist who served the Commonwealth for over seventy years, the program’s full name has been formalized as the Sir Wilford A. Reinhold Department of Archeology and Geographic Studies. Or, for short, the Geographic Studies Program. As the name implies, this division of faculty and students shall be primarily focused on locating, cataloguing, and analyzing the various sites of interest and phenomena found upon our continent, manmade or otherwise. Leadership of this program has been handed off to two promising young researchers, by the names of Mister Vojtech Mladan Kopýšsky and Mister Carlo Vausifus. A talented academic writer and an astute explorer respectively, they shall be tasked with scouting locations or occurrences of interest, and leading out groups of researchers to investigate. Their findings shall be published in formal reports open to the greater academic world.

As navigating the wilds of the continent can be a risky endeavor at times, participation in these research trips will be limited to students of the University classified as Étudiant– Those who are seventeen years of age or older and pursuing advanced education– as well as faculty. Researchers and academics from outside the University shall be welcomed as well, and these scholars are encouraged to consult our yearly academic calendar in Riviènse to see when the future expeditions shall be scheduled. Directions to the exact location of this public calendar have been included within this missive.

Within the lands of our great Commonwealth, there has always existed a hunger for knowledge that permeates every level of society. In my time studying the vast stores of history and culture our state holds, this is one of our few collective traits which never seems to fade away regardless of era or monarch. Like any ambition, the desire to satiate the mind and strip back the mysteries of our world can be in equal parts corrupting and enlightening– We are, if nothing else, a curious people. The scholars of our history stand famous or infamous, but every one nonetheless known.

Perhaps this was engrained within us from the start. It is inarguable that early Petrine culture was shaped deeply by the Venerable Dame Catherine, a founder of the Commonwealth second-only in her influence to the first Archduke Paul Salvian himself. Before she was a knight grandmaster or a High Chancellor, Dame Catherine was first and foremost a scientist, doctor, philosopher, and poet. Even in her days before the fall of Oren as an Imperial Princess, it was the pursuit of knowledge she valued over the lure of power. Her true passions lay in these fields of art and exploration, and she spent many years between her tenures as an influential stateswoman studying the ways of the natural world. There’s little doubt this love of scholarship influenced those around her, and bled into all her other life’s works.

Though she may have planted the seeds, the great Dame Catherine cannot be credited for all the scholarly endeavors which succeeded her. That honor goes to the constantly re-emerging spirit of Petrine curiosity and ingenuity, the generations of teachers and students who have driven forth the development of science, literature, and the arts. It is seen time and again that the greatest minds who emerge from the Riverlands have no common background to unite them. This spirit of discovery does not discriminate between young and old, impoverished and wealthy, titled or commonfolk.

However, access to scholarship often does. Since the landing of the Petrine people upon Azura and the rebuilding of our society, responsibility of education has fallen upon the individual. Private tutelage has become the way of our people’s schooling, and for those who cannot buy it, they must rely on disparate and scattered public lessons. This is not the way our great hunger for knowledge should be fed, served only to the few and not the many. Too often do members of the commonfolk reach adulthood having never received the teaching they desire, and even the children of our peerage must rely on the narrow expertise of individual tutors, neither portion of our people satisfied. If we wish to see the next great Petrine mind emerge to shape our state’s future, then all must be offered the wisdom to become a great mind. 

To this end, I have combined the efforts of myself, the Autumn Courts, and many existing Petrine scholars to build an academy that reflects the needs of our people. Together we strive for this institution to be as inventive, as upstanding, and as occasionally unconventional as the minds it serves. Emblematic of these hopes is the name we choose to represent ourselves, reflecting both the past and future of Petrine academia.

The needs of the Petrine people are varying, and to serve them all equally requires creativity– The schedule which suits a young Lady of the peerage, who may attend lessons throughout her day but must be home before dusk, will not likewise suit a young woman of the commonfolk, who must work through the day and only finds time for schooling in the evening. Similarly, the lessons which suit a young boy learning basic spelling will not be of interest to an adult soldier, who wishes to improve his formal penmanship in pursuit of squirehood. Yet, all these individuals must be taught, and to exclude any one of them goes against our most basic principles. With this in mind, enrollment, lessons, and graduation requirements have been tailored for both thoroughness and adaptability.
 

Those seeking to enroll in the People’s University formally may do so under one of two overarching classes, Élève or Étudiant. This distinction is solely to ensure students can easily find lessons which best align with their skill level, age group, and purpose for attending the University. A large portion of the lessons held shall be open to both classes, but some will be tailored specifically for one or the other based on the difficulty or simplicity of the subject. 

It should be noted that although the People’s University is a Petrine school, one need not be Petrine to enroll, and students from greater Idunia and the realms of Man beyond are surely welcomed. Enrollment is also not required if one wishes to attend lessons simply out of interest or leisure, but non-enrolled individuals will not be able to graduate and gain a diploma, and may be barred from events that are exclusive to students and faculty.

The People’s University shall distribute diplomas to mark the graduation of students who complete the required number of full terms, and who present an exhibition which demonstrates the knowledge they have gained during those terms. These exhibitions may take the form of a written paper, a spoken lecture, a visual demonstration, or any other approved format which thoroughly conveys the student’s competency. The requirements for graduation differ between the two classes, but students of either must display consistent attendance

Élève shall base their exhibition around any or multiple of the subjects they have taken as part of their required curriculum, and present it to a professor of their choosing within the subject. They shall receive a diploma which affirms they have completed a formal primary and secondary education.

Étudiant shall choose a single area of focus– The degrees that the school offers at its time of opening are Mastery of the Natural Sciences, Mastery of the Fine Arts, Mastery of Historical and Cultural Studies, or Mastery of Diplomacy and Law. However, if an Étudiant desires a degree which is not officially listed, they may petition the Headmaster for a specialized certification. They must display excellent attendance for classes within their area of focus, and present an exhibition to one of the professors within their focus that shall be assessed at a high standard to ensure competency.

[OOC NOTE: Good attendance is just considered attending at least 4-5 RP classes total.  If you have a schedule that doesn’t allow you to catch many of them, contact me and we’ll work something out!]

The People’s University is proud to offer a wide array of subjects upon its opening, thanks to the scholars who have so far offered their skills to the endeavor of public education. The following curriculum only covers which courses the University shall offer in its opening months, and is sure to expand as attendance grows.

The People’s University still seeks to fill the gaps which exist in its curriculum, and to that end, all scholars of good character are welcome to apply for professorship. Any interested individuals should send a letter to Headmaster Alistair Reinhold to arrange a formal interview. In addition, those who do not seek a full-time position but have knowledge they wish to share may request to schedule a guest lecture within the People’s University campus. Guest lecturers do not have official affiliation with the university, but may use its facilities upon approval.

To mark the official opening of the People’s University, an open house shall be held upon the 14th of  Sun’s Smile, 219 A.R.P. Students and scholars alike are welcome to visit the campus, mingle with other academics, and meet the current faculty. We hope to foster collaboration with other educational institutions, and encourage the trading of knowledge and goodwill with the continent’s existing academic community. FOREWORD

For many years, the building once intended to hold the Redquill College within the city of Riviènse has sat vacant and unused. With the guild it was meant to hold having failed to retain members after the transition to Azuras, and several following years of uncertainty of what these facilities would be used for, the building has been officially returned to the stewardship of the Autumn Court. Recent public opinion has shown great interest among the citizenry of Petran in publicly available organized education, and so it is the intention of the Courts to respond to that interest.

In my purview as Court Archivist, I have spent the last several years engrossed in my work cataloging the Commonwealth’s history, as well as my personal studies of the continent. It is only recently that the Grand Chamberlain summoned me into the city to task me with creating and directing a formal academy. As such, I wish to meet with all those interested in the work of organized academia, either as students, teachers, or administrators. I believe that by first hearing the desires and ideas of those both within and outside the Courts interested in these matters, we will be able to construct an institution that suits the needs of all.

If you possess knowledge and experience within a certain field and would be interested in teaching it formally, pen a letter to Alistair Armand Reinhold, whether in direct response to this missive or otherwise. This offer is extended to those working in the Courts and outside of them, both to residents of Petra and scholars of the greater realm of humanity. It is especially encouraged to write if you will be unable to attend the meeting at its planned time and date, as it will allow myself to consider you when planning our facilities and curriculum. Please include your full name, the subject you would be interested in teaching, and a brief summary of your qualifications.

TOPICS OF DISCUSSION

Count of Instructors & Basic Curriculum 

• The roster of interested teachers shall be fully compiled, and around it a core curriculum made. Discussion shall be had on if there are vacancies of teachers for classes viewed as essential, and if so, how these instructors could be recruited or trained.

Facilities & Renovations on the Academy Building

• With a curriculum in mind, discussion will turn to what facilities will be needed within the Academy building. A plan shall be made for renovations, and volunteers for construction will be noted.

Open Discussion on Structure and Goals

• Suggestions regarding the general infrastructure of the school (e.g. qualifications for graduation, non-teacher staff positions, organization of subjects, etc.) shall be taken from the attendees. All will also be welcome to share what they hope to see the academy accomplish.

Vote on Potential Name of the Academy

• To close the discussion, several options will be presented for the academy’s official name, which those in attendance will take a vote on.

This is intended to be a brief, yet important public meeting open to all interested parties. It shall take place outside the currently vacant Academy building, which sits next to the Riviènse Library and across from the Temple of Saint Julia.

To the physicians, would-be practitioners and medical enthusiasts,

Not every injury happens on a battlefield.

Some happen in kitchens, some in workshops, some in quiet homes where no one expects danger. A cut while preparing food, a burn from careless flame, a fall taken alone. In those moments, knowledge matters more than panic.

This gathering is for anyone who wishes to understand what they carry in their satchel, and what to do when someone is bleeding, fevered, burned or simply afraid. We will go over common medical potions, what they truly do, and when they should, and should not, be used. We will speak plainly. There will be time for questions.

You do not need to be a physician to save a life, you only need steady hands and the willingness to learn.

PROGRAMME

1. During this gathering, we will walk through the foundations of practical care; the sort of knowledge that proves useful whether you are a traveler, a tradesman, a soldier or simply someone who wishes to be prepared. We will explain proper use of common medical potions such as coagulators, burn relief draughts, organ menders, waters of life, tranquil tonics, and pain reducers. More importantly, we will discuss when not to use them.

2. We will also cover the basics of herbal medicine. You will see how simple salves and poultices are prepared, how wounds should be cleaned properly before any treatment is applied, and how certain teas or tinctures can ease nausea, fever or shock. There is a difference between stabilizing a wound and healing it, and understanding that difference is often what keeps someone alive long enough to receive further care.

There will be practical demonstrations throughout the session. We will show how to properly bandage a wound so that it holds without cutting circulation, how to place a tourniquet safely and how to splint a broken limb in the field. We will also speak about recognizing blood loss, exhaustion and shock, and how to position and monitor someone who fainted or collapsed.

Those who wish may take part in simple guided exercises. Volunteers will have the opportunity to practice wrapping bandages, identifying which potion suits a given situation, preparing a basic herbal mixture and stabilizing a mock patient.

CONCLUSION

The Commonwealth of the Petra is proud to announce a Royal Hastilude to be hosted at the Riviènse Lists, which stands ready to welcome competitors from all across the continent for a grand spectacle of skill, chivalry, and camaraderie.

This event will feature not only the traditional joust, where riders shall test their courage and prowess, but also a series of mounted games to be tested by those brave enough to partake, each designed to challenge both aim and cooperation. From precision strikes on horseback to tandem challenges that require a partner’s unwavering trust, the Hastilude promises an exhilarating display of equestrian mastery.

The Joust

At the Riviènse Lists, each jousting match will consist of five tilts, where knights will charge at one another with wooden tourney lances with the aim to unseat their opponent. Victory will go to the first competitor to successfully unhorse their rival, showcasing both skill and precision. However, should all five tilts pass without a clear winner, the competitors must dismount and resolve their contest with a clash of fists, proving their mettle and determination beyond the saddle. This combination of tradition and grit ensures that each bout is as thrilling as it is decisive, embodying the spirit of Pétrine valor.

Let it be known that the prize-pot for the joust stands at over 1,000 MINAS!

Rules of the Joust

1. Honor Above All: Competitors must conduct themselves with respect and decorum, upholding the chivalric spirit of the joust.
2. Fair Conduct: Lances will be inspected prior to the competition to ensure no tampering. Wooden tourney lances must be used for safety.
3. Rounds: Matches will be conducted in elimination rounds, with riders securing their win by unhorsing their opponents.
4. Victory Conditions: The competitor with the most points or the last unhorsed rider will be declared the winner of their match.

FOREWORD

The River Court has been a long-standing beacon of culture, revelry, and conviviality within the Commonwealth of the Petra since its formation in 1860 (ARP 5) during Archduke Paul Salvian’s administration. Since then, it has grown into an institution that is responsible for the education of many, the guidance of most, and the revelry of all. Like a phoenix reborn, all institutions that operate under the guidance of the River Council have undergone extensive reform, and the Royal Court of our realm is no exception.

Thus, let it be known from this moment forward, the River Court shall be known as the Pétrine Court of Autumn (‘La Prin Petrère Courteis d’Autuagn’ in the old tongue). With new opportunities to inspire festivities, frame culture, and invoke purpose, the Autumn Court and its improvements promise a place for anyone with a knack for creation, learning, and sharing knowledge. The reforms introduce a new practice — a method that organizes individual groups into three harmonious Spheres that uphold our realm, each one encompassing the essential aspects of society. This is done so that the guilds, clans, the court, stewards, politicians, and even our levée can all work in tandem as a cohesive people.

COURT LEADERSHIP

The Court of Autumn is led by the Grand Chamberlain, followed by the Royal Hostarius, then the individual Sphere leaders thus.

Grand Chamberlain  —  Princess Mattea Asadha of the Petra

Leader of the court, the Grand Chamberlain is responsible for ensuring that the court is staffed with capable Masters in the Sphere of Disciplines to instruct the pupils of the Sphere of Humanities, as well as maintaining a healthy host of Curators of Revelry within the Sphere of Revels.

Royal Hostarius  —  Lord Finnean Reinhold

Second to the Grand Chamberlain, the Royal Hostarius serves to assist in all aspects pertaining to the court’s function. Working closely with the various leaders, they help to ensure that all of The Court’s Spheres are well-staffed and prepared to carry out their duties. The Royal Hostarius may also preside over Court proceedings when the Grand Chamberlain is unable to attend.

THE SPHERE OF HUMANITIES

Tasked with curating and exhibiting the knowledge and creations of the Pétrine people, the Sphere of Humanities is a mecca for any aspirant or advanced scholar looking to hone their skills. This Sphere, while being the host of numerous Masters, is also the destination of Azuras when it comes to scholarly pursuits. Note that more positions can be created, should talent arise not explicitly listed in this document.

Palace Attendants  —  Always Recruiting

Palace Attendants are responsible for the daily operation and upkeep of the royal residence. This includes cooks, servants, stewards and other household staff who ensure the palace runs smoothly.

Royal Governess  —  Lady Vanessa von Schwanstein

The Royal Governess serves as the head of wards, overseeing the upbringing, education and daily conduct of those placed under the Autumn Court’s care, ensuring each ward receives proper instruction suited to their station, talents and future duties.

Master of Fine Arts  —  Lord Siegfried von Schwanstein

The Master of Fine Arts is the foremost authority on artistic instruction within the court. They guide students and apprentices in the mastery of painting, sculpture, music and other disciplines, ensuring that each work reflects both skill and elegance.

Master Ecologist  —  Lady Alma Therese Reinhold

Oversees the ecological security and health of the Autumn Meadowlands and the Aldtree, ensuring the lands are not over-hunted, over-used, or victim to supernatural blight. Through expeditions, vigilance, and consistent care, the Master Ecologist ensures the Meadowlands remain as vibrant as when we first arrived on Azuras.

Master of Medicine  —  Lord Thomas von Theonus

The Master of Medicine assumes authority over all medical practice within la Courteis d’Autuagn. They oversee Medics, healers and apprentices, establish standards of care, and advise all Pétrine citizens on matters of health, injury and disease.

Royal Couturier  —  Lady Anna-Marie Carnelle

The Royal Couturier oversees all matters of fashion and dress within the palace. They design, approve, and maintain attire for nobles, wards and official ceremonies, ensuring garments reflect proper rank, occasion and courtly style.

THE SPHERE OF DISCIPLINES

Leader of the Sphere of Disciplines — Seneschal  |  [Vacant]

This Sphere bears the responsibility of organizing the diverse and abundant amount of talent that filters in and out of the Commonwealth. Moreover, its sole purpose is to establish a core of dependable resources throughout the realm that may be called upon in times of necessity — or even for mere recreation.

Alchemists & Mages

When appointed, Alchemists and Mages serve the court by advancing arcane study, potioncraft and magical research. They are responsible for advising on magical matters, maintaining enchanted wards and items.

Tailors

When appointed, Tailors are entrusted with the creation, maintenance and regulation of attire within the court. They work with the Royal Couturier and may be consulted for official events.

Professors

Professors are granted authority over formal instruction and scholarly development in the court. They educate wards, apprentices and officials in their respective fields, ensuring knowledge is preserved and passed on accurately.

Medics

Medics serve as the primary caretakers of health within the Court and the Commonwealth at large. They provide treatment, oversee recovery, and advise on preventative care for nobles, wards and citizens alike.

Librarians

Librarians are entrusted with the preservation, organization, and protection of the Court’s records and knowledge. They maintain archives, oversee access to sensitive texts, and assist scholars in research.

Blacksmiths

Blacksmiths are responsible for forging, maintaining, and repairing weaponry, armor, tools and ceremonial metalwork for the Court and Levée.

Stewards

Due to the frequent cooperation of the Autumn Court and the Rivienso Office of Stewardry, Stewards are to be considered Courtiers and valued members of the Sphere of Disciplines. Despite their inclusion in the Court, Stewards still remain under the purview of the Grand Treasurer and High Steward.

THE SPHERE OF REVELS

This sphere is entrusted with the upkeep of the Pétrine spirit and ongoing practice of their traditions.

Curator of Revelry  —  All Courtiers of the Autumn Court

The Curator of Revelry will act as one of the skilled hands of the Festwarden, taking a direct part in planning and organizing events and festivals in the lands of The Commonwealth.

Royal Etiquarian  —  [Vacant]

None can hope to uphold the proper etiquette of la Courteis d’Autuagn if they are not properly educated. The Royal Etiquarian will work to ensure each and every Pétrine man and woman feels confident and comfortable amongst their neighbors in the court.

Master of Cuisine  —  Cinnamon’Ox o’Nico

The Master of Cuisine will ensure that all festivals and events held at the Festwarden’s direction are properly equipped with all those meals, treats, and beverages befitting of a celebration in The Commonwealth.

Court Herald  —  Belegar Grandaxe

This role will serve to directly assist the Festwarden in spreading the word of upcoming events being held within our great city — through word of mouth, missives, posters, and by visiting our neighbours around the continent.

Royal Enlumineur  —  [Vacant]

The Royal Enlumineur will serve to create magnificent festival grounds as well as decorations for other events where needed, ensuring each space is beautiful in its own right.

HONORIFICS OF MASTERY

For Courtiers to be deemed Masters, they must have shown exceptional skill, dedication, and loyalty to the people of the Commonwealth. Those who are awarded by the Autumn Court are to hold a revered suffix title for life. These designations are solely granted to the person in recognition of exceptional ability.

The suffix honorifics are able to be used on official documents penned by Pétrine institutions, as well as personal documents signed by the holder. They denote traditionally a senior member of the Courts and trusted advisor of the sitting leader of the Sphere. Note that the sitting Grand Chamberlain, as well as the reigning sovereign of the Petra, may strip these titles should the awarded person be deemed no longer deserving. Where the recipient has no distinct title, they may use it as a Prefix instead.

WARDSHIPS

With such a host of knowledge to offer, the many masters and leaders of la Courteis d’Autuagn will be given the opportunity to work with the Royal Governess in taking wards under their tutelage. When accepted, wards will be expected to study in the ways of their master, shadowing them in that work which is relevant to their position.

Beyond simple tutelage in their respective skills, Masters will guide their wards toward being an upstanding member of la Courteis d’Autuagn. Through work with their Masters as well as the Royal Governess and Royal Etiquarian, each ward will be instructed to become capable and well-mannered members of the court in their respective fields.

THE COURT SUMMITS

Exclusive to Courtiers, the Spheres are to meet to discuss the next step in how Petra will operate culturally, with an inclusive atmosphere with an open forum of ideas on the improvement of Petra’s activities, as well as to experiment with potential new pillars of Pétrine society. Every Saint’s Month, a summit of the Commonwealth’s Courtiers will be gathered to chart and plan the next four years of the Autumn Court’s celebrations, events, and practices.

A girl's eighteenth year marks a time for her to step forth from the protective shadow of her family and into the bright and scrutinizing eyes of those around her. A passage from the sheltered days of childhood into the delicate responsibilities and delights of womanhood.

On this eve, the halls of Palais Madelaine shall glow brighter than ever, for it is the night of the Lady Delphine Amalia Carnelle’s eighth and tenth summer, a celebration of her passage into womanhood. House Carnelle requests the honor of your presence as she is presented to Her Highness Princess Mattea Asadha, and to partake in an evening of music, dancing and celebration as Lady Delphine takes her first steps into Pétrine Society.

‘LO, UNTO THE PETRANS!

It is with great reverence and gratitude that we extend this invitation to gather in celebration of Blademaster Matthew Galken, who has served the Commonwealth’s military with unwavering devotion for forty-one years, and as Master of Blades of the Swords of Saint Emma for thirty-three of those years.

In honor of his steadfast service, His Majesty, King Therin I, shall open the doors of his home — the Citadel of Vallagne — to host a grand feast in Master of Blades Matthew's honor. We will rejoice in his unmatched commitment to the Commonwealth, which began under Queen Catherine I as a soldier of the Legion of Saint Godwin during the Heartlander Confederation, and continued after its fall when the Swords of Saint Emma were born under the tenure of Queen Adalia I.
