Dewper gets so much hatred from the staff chats, you guys don't even know... from my browsing, Dewper was mentioned atleast a hundred times, and it wasn't anything good. People are different when no one's seeing them, I guess.
I can provide names, from everyone that has been shitty to Dewper, backed up with proof!

NEXUS HAD A GREAT ECONOMY SYSTEM BRING BACK NEXUS

I experienced this Nexus system for longer than you have. I know how it worked. All of the wars were funded with volunteer national grinders who hardly emoted a thing they did. All of the transactions either happened with 2-3 emotes after yelling your offer in the middle of a street to get the bare minimum of roleplay needed to exchange the goods or through shops that offer no roleplay interaction at all. Nexus was not a roleplay encouraging plugin, so much so that people were encouraged to spend more time away from anybody else in order to grind massive netherwart and tree farms for days on end. There was no personal connection to anything you made, and half the time when you made something it was just for the experience and the actual item is swiftly discarded.
It was not the best way to do a profession-plugin, that’s for sure.

Dude this man has seen some ****, you just don't understand Dan
But do not worry, for Horton the actually GODLY is here.
Spoiler>Compares LotC players to African kids
>Gives example of the bad of nexus
>Refuses to note the good of nexus
>Refuses to try the good of nexus
>Refuses to acknowledge nexus was horribly easy to do
>Uses experience on the server as reason for why he is right
>Isn't jaded (Making the above irrelevant)
>Likely hasn't ever tried to be creative with nexus
>Has never heard of how an actual economy works
Basically I'm saying that there are a ton of possibilities with nexus, you merely hid behind the excuse that there isn't a way that RP and nexus can coexist. It's along the same lines of RP and PVP, you don't really understand how it can be done because you've never seen it be done. You're scared of something new and can't easily adapt to it. Nexus did have its drawbacks of being super grindy but that's on the players that grinded, that doesn't effect you. That effects those hardcore sweatballs.
"B-b-but Horton they ruined the economy!!" Lol no, look at Norland. Norland is using marks, a separate currency from mina to get around the issues of others ruining the economy. You can still run an internal economy and nexus gave the benefit of allowing players easier ways to do that. It's simply that most didn't realize what it could do because they were too focused on what it did to LotC's playerbase.
Though what it did to LotC's playerbase was nothing, the community ruined themselves by themselves. They took nexus as a way to be super OP man but really that isn't what roleplay should be about. It should be about being someone you can't normally be in real life; and no, I don't mean an OP magicman I mean things as simple as peasants trying to climb the food chain. The server doesn't have a huge goal and ways to make that goal a challenge, you've got to make that yourself.

imagine how boring rp would be without raiding and pvp... non-stop powergaming and erping all day. Raiders exist to put an end to this nonsense

im hearing some noises outside im scared this is legit oh my ******* god im not memeing
-
LotC is dying. In these hours on a friday night, there used to be around 200 people regardless of warclaim or not on anthos afaik
Any guesses? I'd say its because how the community treats and handles new players.

Is there any place that you miss from Athera?

We should all hold our hands together and go on a massacre of these edgy necrolytes and necromancers!

Disconnection is a powerful tool of tiny, circlejerk groups to control their magic and take away from those they OOC'ly dislike.

@ZachoSnackoDoesn't change the fact that it isn't a single basis of lore for all divine magic which causes frusturation, rather than having a cohesive system.

Are you all using anime girl pics for this halloween?
-
sometimes ooc makes me cringe, ppl talking about cybering and politics oh god

This is the protection glyph, no memes this time... enjoy. :) PS: +1 this

Describe edgy.

Why are there kharajyr? We already have cats.
-
Human roleplay is fun, people only hate it because of "grr, oren, grr". We should stop looking into the OOC characteristics and look more at the RP characteristics.
You're a proud, non-atheist WEAK person, which is someone weak amidst superhuman hulks.

Isn't it too harsh to deny someone for being 12? We had a lot of this SJW stuff recently where we need to make stuff new-player friendly or young player friendly. Now, someone has to wait, I don't know, six months so he turns 13 and can finally play on a game for kids?
We're not going elf cybering roleplay on all of this, and I, from a personal point of view, don't see an issue on someone being 12.
I remember back then when being 13 to ROLEPLAY on a GAME FOR KIDS (lets be honest here, Minecraft is PG 4 and we don't need to go on a crusade by denying everyone that is 12, since people can mature with the server too. Either adapt or leave is the rule of the jungle.
And then again, besides the creepy spook fucks, what makes LotC an "only big boys" game? I don't recall LotC being a game for people with 13 years or so.
I'd also like to point out that I'm not criticising the people that made the replies, but instead, the AT guidelines.

Rhewen's beard has been shaved and may not regrow by any means for an IRL month. Rest in peace. The name of the shaver is DPMagician

Why do people need to have swords with fancy names? Its the same **** in the end lol. Estoc, zweihander, katana... Ill go get a sword and say its a kaltzbager
-
What was your skin before you joined LOTC? I had a cow with a black hoodie and a creeper face behind the hood skin, made the hoodie myself and i was really proud of it.

You can't just PK a character with 4 magics, a floating city, a dragon and a tome of power even if you agree, right?

Please 5.0 developers, do a main road and no fast travels, i beg of you.

I think the AT should be more lenient with applicants that apply with the wrong format, instead of denying, allow them to re-apply without the 24 hours thing lol

We have set protocols, and yes, 24 hours seems long. But I assure you that every member is (supposed to be) working with every applicant, regardless of whether they're pending or denied or accepted. If you truly believe this is a major issue that needs to be discussed, contact one of our managers, Fireheart, Mitto, and LordOfTheCraft.

I'll speak from a team perspective in this statement. The reason why there is a 24 hour rule is due to applicants in the past spam posting applications prematurely. They would be denied and reasons would be listed, applicants, instead of working with AT members, would quickly make changes, followed by them posting. The 24 hour rule is to give them a time window to really think about and work on their application while also giving us time to work with them. Often times messages back and forth will have gaps due to the player's time when they are on the forums and the AT member's time. At the end of the day the only poor event that comes from waiting is a player's wait time if they get denied twice, but that is mostly on them if they do not communicate with an AT member to make a great app through guidance and help. I hope that answers your suggestion that is filled with concern!
