Amidst the rage and chaos of war, fortune rarely shines with sufficient brightness to see prosperous growth. As a forest is rendered logs into the fires of great nations' war machines, the sprout of new life is a sight most foreign. Yet there exists, in such a case, a paucity of light. For through death invariably comes life, such as the ashes of once great trees serving to fertilize their offspring, the foliage overtaking once more the pasture upon which an ancient city rests in silence, and the mysteries of love and life growing amidst war and death. Indeed, as strife befell the Holy Orenian Empire in the most wicked of circumstances, as turbulent uncertainty reigned over the future with a fist of iron, still yet did two souls meet. Still yet did the vibrant flowers of spring bloom against the harsh, numbing snows of winter. The Baron Elijah Keen, previously of Kensford, living oceans away within the southern lands of Savoy, and the Lady Valerie of Azor, residing in the war-ravaged New Providence, would be so fated as to intertwine their paths. Irrespective of the weight such a distance and division carried, the pair was brought together. For within one another's eyes, they found not rage, but empathy. Within one another's words, they found not strife, but life. And within one another's hearts, they found not uncertainty, but love.

As the age of war now passes, the time is upon us in which these two souls, guided to one another against all likelihood and all reason by the will of the Lord GOD alone, shall be unified in eternity.

The Baronial House of Keen and the Ducal House of Azor therefore wish to cordially invite family, friends, and esteemed peerage to a wondrous celebration of Holy Matrimony to witness as two souls become one.

The union shall take place within the Basilica of Providence, followed by a reception within the Aster Palace.

Philippa Antoinette the mother of the bride overlooked the invitation with scrutiny yet allowing a soft smile casting over her lips. The woman began preparations of Valérie's gown, setting aside family heirlooms for the grandiose affair in some months. "Truly, they are growing too fast." The Duchess spoke with a huff as her sights set upon paintings of Valérie from yore. She sought out her sister-in-law, Viscountess of Vuillermoz spewing out her thoughts with the publications of such a grand union.

"So this is how he informs us of his departure..."The Basridi woman commented as she noted the title 'Baron of Ames' and her gaze narrowed, not angered or overjoyed, simply neutral. She placed the invitation onto a small stack of papers, contemplating whether or not to attend.

“Oh! I knew he was on a date the day I saw him at the tavern with the Valerie girl. How lovely they are to be wed.” The Countess Provins mused, marking the date and sending prayers for the health of the couple.

Joseph d'Azor read over the missive within his house with a bright smile curling across his lips at the unions missive being released. "My little gem!" the Duke of Azor looked over the missive as he quickly rushed home to embrace his daughter as he thought of the life she would have as a Baroness, he remembered the conversation he had with the Baron. "I am sure.... she will be quite successful In the establishment of her own household wont she?" He queried quickly arriving home to ask the question of his wife. @Azie

Diana Vuiller would be reading over her own copy of the letter as she sat with her sister-in-law, Duchess of Azor. A smile rested on her face as she let out a small laugh at the comment! Well, let us hope it is a marriage of everlasting love for our darling Val. It is a shame to see the little ones grow up so fast indeed.” The Viscountess spoke with a sigh to her sister as she rested on the couch. She had a particular smile as she saw the invitation.

“My, do I feel old,” commented Empress Anastasia I as she received an invitation to the wedding of her flower girl from all those years ago.

A relief seemed to wash over her as she recognized the name of the groom then, for no one but the best should be wed to such a sweet girl. “You’re quite lucky with this one!” she shouted to the Archchancellor, whose office was close by. @Taketheshot

"Already marrying?" Claude's eyes affixed unto the pamphlet, a feeling of unease enrapturing the body of that contemptuous Pruvian madame nearing her 40th year. "Amadie's wedding is so soon, as well." She followed in a mutter.

The madame's diaphanous fingers rose to prod the feathery weight of her cheekbones; below, a foul gut was damaged by the burden of fast and growing age. Her days nearing the event would be spent within her chamber, contemplating her achievements in solidarity.
