With great honor does the Duchy of Sunholdt and the Viscounty of Pruvia-Provins announce this marital union of 1830. Within two months, the Lady Anne Adelheid of Provins, eldest daughter of the Viscount Pruvia-Provins IG, is to be wed to the eldest son of the Duke of Sunholdt - John Alexander d’Arkent. The two have been betrothed for some years, and both families are glad to announce its officiation.

TIMETABLE

I. Ceremony

At first, there shall be the wedding formalities at the palatial cathedral of the capital of  Providence. The ceremony shall be officiated by His Holiness the High Pontiff Tylos I, and attended by the d’Arkent and Pruvian parties respectively.

 

II. The Reception

After the two wed, the wedding procession shall be held at the banquet hall inside the walls of Sunholdt. After the feast, the groom invites all gentlemen who deem themselves adequate on a hunt in the open plains adjacent to Sunholdt.

Joseph d'Arkent, the brother of the groom, would sit in his quiet study as the evening would churn onwards. A glass of Pruvian Port at his side, he'd be going through the various letters and notices on his desks as he'd come across the Sunholdt Nuptials announcement. Extending his arm, he'd reach for the glass and take a sip as he'd read, his eyes wandering down the page. He'd go to set his glass back down to his side, the notice soon to follow. Joseph would then move aside the various other documents on his table, grabbing a parchment and his quill as he'd go to write a congratulations letter.

Anne Caroline, the mother of the bride gave off a tired sigh, her singular gait turning towards her sister Josephine Augusta, the mother of the groom. As their parents had been first cousins and Josephine had married her second cousin once removed, she stated:

Amelia squints at the invitation list. “Why would they put you in the nobility section and not under grandfather?” she’d sigh at the lack of etiquette as she laments to her father though he seemingly was unbothered and was not really listening. Really it was not a huge deal but Amelia being Amelia found it- well-  a huge deal. “I also lack a personal invite by my good cousin.” Finally she shoved a piece of candy in her mouth and continued unpacking. “Of course I’m just the pedigree. Like a dog!”

Louise Antoinette Halcourt scoffs at her father’s posting of the wedding.

 “How lovely that there is a wedding for the d’Arkents… but I do recall my own father not posting my own wedding on the manor…” She’d look out the window to her horse, whom she named Jeanne, and quietly said:

“Ugh- I cannot complain.. he gave me a horse.” Louise tossed the invitation aside, now amassing with the mound of clutter on her writing desk in Draskovic Hall.
The mistress of Draskovic Hall continued to jot notes and calculate the financial expenses of her family.
