It is with ardent excitement we announce the exchanging of souls in matrimony between HIH Prince Philip Amadeus and his betrothed, Lady Anastasia of Kositz. Finally the two will be united under GOD in front of the friends and citizens of the jeweled Empire. All from across the lands are invited to witness the exchange of vows and the Festival of Renzfeld to take place surrounding the occasion.

Wedding Dress Showcase

From the hands of tailors around the empire, a series of wedding dresses for the upcoming ceremony will be presented by Lady Anastasia of Kositz for the courtiers of the palace. This event is, as hosted by the Governess of the Palace, a portion of the 1835 social season for participants thereof only, unless invited otherwise. Any tailors or seamstresses who desire for their work to be showcased at this event (and potentially chosen as the wedding dress) may contact Lady Anastasia through letter.

Cake Taste-Testing

A private affair for the imperial household and the House of Ruthern held after the conclusion of the dress showcase. Different flavors of cakes will be prepared and presented to HIH Prince Philip Amadeus and Lady Anastasia of Kositz for them to taste, along with slices for all those in attendance to judge the flavors of the cakes. Any guests outside of the pair’s family must receive a direct invitation requesting their presence at the event.

Exhibition of the Elements

Prior to the upcoming imperial wedding, a collection of the mages will present an awe-striking show of the elements as led by the renowned politician and mage, Miss Eliza Braw-Wittenbach. Demonstrations of fire wielding and other magics alike shall be performed unlike ever before in front of an audience.

Wedding Ceremony

In the Providence Cathedral shall the betrothed pair be wed in holy matrimony, with a large procession of the Imperial State Army present in recognition of their greatness in creating what the empire is as a whole. A congregation made of the Governess of the Palace Mary of Carrington, HIH Princess Amelia of Renzfeld, two flower girls (Lady Amaliya Ruthern and Lady Valérie d’Azor), followed by the bride and four bridesmaids (Miss Claude de Savoie, Lady Philippa d’Azor, and two ladies chosen from the social season), then a collection of ISA soldiers at the command of the general, Count Erik Ruthern — all accompanying Lady Anastasia to the altar.

Augustine Garden Reception

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds shall lead a parade (firstly followed by the ceremonial congregation of courtiers and ISA soldiers, thereafter the people in attendance) to the public palace gardens. A small reception is to be held by a dear friend of the bride, Miss Alina Basrid, where all are welcomed to mingle with the pair with drinks and snacks. Men and women in attendance shall be given the opportunity to present the bride and groom with gifts at a time announced by Miss Alina. Later in the eve shall the ladies-in-waiting be announced for Lady Anastasia. All occurrences throughout the event shall be accompanied by the lovely accompaniment of Lady Helena of Rochefort.

Archchancellor’s Dual Tournament

Hosted by HIE the Archchancellor of Oren, Ledicort d’Azor, in honor of Prince Philip and Lady Anastasia after their wedding, the dual tournament shall be the concluding event of the Festival of Renzfeld and the wedding revelries. From early in the saint’s day, a set of two tournaments shall take place to showcase the strength of men and women across the lands. Only 16 entries for each tournament will be allowed, with a prize of 500 mina for either tournament. At a later date, closer to the time in question, further rules and regulations shall be announced by the Archchancellor.

TOUR OF THE EMPIRE

In the months following the wedding ceremony, so commences the tour of the empire where the newlyweds shall visit with the various peers of the empire from all districts: the Grenz Region, the Arentania Regions, and the Petra Regions. The dates in which the imperial pair shall visit will be deliberated with the peers of the empire, and the proprietors of the municipalities.

Philippa d'Azor took the invitational missive in hand scanning over the words with content. The Lady folded the paper following its creases, placing it neatly upon an arranged table. "A grandiose wedding." She paced around with a pause drawing up plans for her attire, alongside her daughters.

Joseph d'Azor nodded as he looked at the invitation that has arrived to himself with a broad smile. "I rememeber my conversation with Lady Anastasya, the things she has planned... her demeanor. Truly that of a future Empress." The man tucked the invitation atop a bookshelf, as he wondered if the future Empress' ring would be as big as the one he made for his wife.

A portly older man scrunches his rosaceous nose, listening in as a soot-caked boyservant read the itinerary into his ear trumpet.

 

"Bah! More palace frippery. A wedding of this station needs to be a city-wide event, a public display of the prestige of our Imperial dynasty and the legitimacy of the union. Thousands of gallons of wine and beer and loaves of bread should be consumed... How are the burghers supposed to make money off of this nonsense?"

“Oh! I’ve heard about these two,” commented Basrid as the news of the massive collection of events reached him. He scanned the list in an idle fashion as his brows rose further and further as his hues fell down over the invitation.“Ya Theós! This must be the most elaborated list of matrimonial events that I have ever seen,” the Rhenyari Lord noted to himself out loud as his head rose skywards in thought. “Well” - “I am certain these events shall be fun. But hrm, I must find a suitable gift for the two of them. They are our to-be Monarchs in the end.”

The Dowager of Dobrov smiles fondly at yet another imperial wedding, recalling the festivities that occurred during the nuptials of the groom's own parents. The Princess likewise seemed heartened by the fact that her daughter, Moliana, had recieved a personal invitation. She'd make note of the date, deciding that such an occasion would mark her return to Oren.

Stasie will grow into her own as a femme and future matriarch, and Philippe will just have to tug along, j'imagine... I cannot wait to see the spectacle of their union."

Through some magical communication unknown to her, Anastasia of Kositz felt a sudden need to read over the list of invitations that were specially sent out by herself and her betrothed earlier that day. A panicked look spread across the Ruthern's face as she realized the lack of invitation to the Unified Domain of Vortice. Without another thought, swiftly did the young woman draft a letter and see it sent as soon as possible. 

 

The letter reads as follows:

Upon my own mistake amidst assisting the palace courtiers in penning the wedding flyer as well as the invitations, I had left your name out in the special invitations list. I hope that you, as well as your council and citizens, may forgive this error of my own that has been corrected as soon as the issue was spotted. I would like to offer a time to meet for tea, should you ever wish to do so, as well as extend a personal invitation of you, your council, and your people, to the wedding of my betrothed and I. It would mean a great deal to us to have the presence of the Vortice there in attendance. I shall hope to meet with you in person soon.
