@Leap1Ghosts. Right, hell no. This is where I draw the line. There have been various ghoul applications made this past few weeks. If you say that ghouls aren't spooks, then you are sorely mistaken. If you don't take my word as an MT who handles apps, then take my word as a spook. I play a bloodmage wight and a zar'akal -- a gigaghost and a demon man. I also play a death knight necromancer, and I'll say it like it is: Creatures-- especially the easy to control ones -- are more openly handed out, and I know because I used to make a lot of Dreadknights, and I saw a lot of necromancers make a lot of ghouls.

No I agree, that's exactly what happens and why the server as a whole is a joke. It's an OOC circle jerk for literally everything. Magic? Become friends with Teachers. Become Emperor? Have the right friends that will support you. Literally it.

The point I'm trying to make, is I wouldn't complain about players powergaming before it's even happened. It's self explanatory.

I agree, now the another reason I make that new players should be held off from using voidal magic is that a very large percentage of them don't have a great knowledge of rp combat, and this is a very bad thing. Already you'll have new players not realize that rp combat isn't just a war of who can type faster (or a "you took too long to emote so I made mine") and more of a turn based ordeal.

On your point of powergaming before its happened. Most of the server in its current form can't handle not being able to powergame magic. Especially electrical evocation. So I definitely wouldn't trust a new player being able to get it right. Not to sound elitist, I'm sure there are a few that could do it right on the first go. Though its not a big percentage.

Alright, I understand. I will show you with actions instead of words, maybe you will have to wait and see but it will be worth it.

@Its_Just_Leap Telanir responds to pretty much everyone and tries to help the best he can. He has multiple players messaging him everyday, his administration duties to handle, and his own life plus college to manage as well. Stop being a ******* prick to him saying he needs to be more transparent when he’s already taking steps to do that and already is transparent about a lot of things. If people would have stopped whining about an orc plot and halfling plots and just ask the Admins nicely, or Telanir nicely, you would have gotten told that he plans on giving them land one way or another next map. Telanir doesn’t sit back, he actually pays attention to ongoing events on LOTC. Maybe show him a little bit of respect and have faith in what he’s doing. You might not see an instant change for the better on LOTC but everything takes time, work, and a little bit of trust.

@TJBMinecraft Your opinion is based on wanting to have a "fair" advantage. If this were the case then RP on the server would be pretty boring. Everyone is going to have advantages over people in some way. For example I'm almost 100% certain that I could beat @Hero_Prodigal in a RP fight. Because I have a mage and if he were to RP the effects of spells that hit him correctly (Thats not a jab at you. Most people would like to think that something like a lightning bolt hitting you only gives their char a seizure.) I would have an "unfair advantage" over him. The situation would more than likely be on the opposite if I were to 1v1 him in pvp. This doesn't mean that I can't get better at PvP or he can't learn magic (though magic isn't always the thing that decides a crp fight as its counterable.) Basically here's a tl;dr "git gud"

Present plausible argument to him and he might lift that and bring you back. Congratulate the guy that openly claims Admins are biased for punishing YOUR wrong call is not demonstrating the professionalism a GM needs to have to perform such a role.

I've been waiting for him to give proper reasoning for kicking me @Brazilianski and honestly I should be given a response. For someone to be kicked off of a team there would have to be proper reasoning given otherwise it just makes me question whether the reasoning was actually good enough. I didn't ask for the forum post to be made. I woke up this morning to a PM linking me to it. I'm just happy that I have this much support for wanting an explained reason as to my removal.

He won't, @Brazilianski, it isn't how Paleo works. He'll beat around the bush, give an excuse here and there, cite things but when asked for evidence say he'll "have to dig through logs later". Leap also never asked for the forum post to be made. People who were mad about his removal did it. Also, Paleo can claim all he wants that it wasn't an admin decision but rather a GM Director decision (which is a joke because he put himself in the GM Director position but he doesn't really know some of the rules well imo, i.e. halt rules), but if that's really the case then why was 501 saying "he could air leap's dirty laundry and then people would see who they were supporting really" in OOC and getting offended as if he was personally being attacked over it. Because he clearly played a role in it. There's a lot of BS on this server and it's why we'll never have the truly good people on staff. It's all about who's butt you can kiss. If you knew the crap that went on before Paleo got FM Director and then admin, you'd realize how pathetic it is. Don't even talk like you know a single thing about what goes on behind the scenes or has gone on behind the scenes. Don't defend someone who doesn't deserve to be defended. He lies, though I also feel bad for him because I imagine he's the fall boy when things backfire.

@Its_Just_Leap You're right, they did sign up for it and it's their prerogative on what they want to do with that. If you want to change that, join the team and not only fix nexus, but keep it updated. It's unrealistic to make volunteers commit to something that not only isn't efficient in their viewpoint with the time allotted, but to push something for mechanical features that could be better programmed. Most of the playerbase for lotc happens to be people between middle school and college. Many of the coders are either in a high school program in coding, or working for a A.A. or B.A. in computer science or computer information systems. Between family, friends, school, work and programming for this they have priorities whether they're MIA or not. I'm a programmer and almost came back on the single premise of just doing coding for lotc. Programming is a very meticulous task, and I personally don't believe it a very comforting to treat the small coding team with this respect.   "That face when developers will tell YOU what YOU want. Literally from what I've seen so far a developer's only argument has been "I don't want to deal with its upkeep. . ." I mean hmm. . . that almost sounds like you saying you don't want to do your job doesn't it?"   If your complaint is that they have a problem with upkeep over a single plugin is difficult due to the way it was programmed, then instead of advocating of a return from nexus maybe you should try pushing an agenda of making something similar that their more familiar with having been coded differently. You could simply be a proponent of specific features that you would have re-implemented rather than sit here and drone on about a flawed point.

Thats 8 months of stuff when we haven't really seen a real big update that affects the playerbase. 1.13 hasn't been out for maybe a couple weeks I think? It's going to take a long ass time before we get an update to that version.

Because some people are jerks. Maybe they hate themselves, or maybe they actually just hate someone else, but either way, the way they deal with it makes them jerks.

If you want to know why, it's because they genuinely have nothing better to do. A lot of them are kids with too much time on their hands, and have horrible influences around them. They don't care much for other people, especially people whose faces they haven't seen before. They have a sense of morality, but not a sense of connection with the people they're bullying. Half the time, it's done because they want to have a laugh with their friend group, other half of the time it's done out of spite or vindictiveness.

It's a shitty thing, but it's life. You'll encounter **** people in almost every crevice of the world. Does it make it right? Of course not. But they'll grow, and they'll learn. It's just a matter of ignoring them, or dealing with it when it pops up.
