Tutorial Island
INTRODUCTION
Greetings, gamers!
After months of preparation and hard work from all staff members involved, we are proud to present the completion of this grand project. Amidst the paradisiacal, lush landscapes of Arcas emerges our newest addition -- Tutorial Island.
WHAT IS TUTORIAL ISLAND?
Tutorial Island is the starting point for all new players joining LotC after being whitelisted for the first time. It provides an easy tutorial to the OOC elements and features that LotC has in store. Located separately from the mainworld, new players spawn here and are led through a series of NPCs explaining the server to them in a mechanical sense.
Tutorial Island includes information on a wide variety of useful topics for new players, all in one place! It introduces chat commands; the auction-house, bank and shop systems; resource pits; LWC; and settlement info, as well as an FAQ with useful commands listed.
With this addition, we aim to help all new players understand the basics of the server and provide a better first experience for players, ensuring that new players are taught the ropes and things they need to get started while preserving the time of our volunteers for a more interactive, RP-immersed guidance after they have completed the tutorial.
LAUNCH
Tutorial Island, as of this moment, is in full effect. If you’d like to see the island for yourself, head to the Shop of Wonders, where you’ll find a dock and a boat that’ll take you there! If you get lost, contact a Community Team member.

Questions and Answers
“How is Curios coming along? (For Telanir)” -Soul#9694
Unfortunately Telanir is not here but I will save the question!
“What's the situation on cannons, guns, etc.? (For Story)” -AstienGreenhart#7262Rift: We have I believe two pieces of lore written by the players for cannons. Once we get through the pieces from the lore games, we’re gonna be looking at those. If they’re accepted, people can make cannons. Guns are a techlock thing, that’s for us admins to consider, and I can not give you a definitive answer on that right now. As it stands, guns aren’t a thing.
“How are the staff doing, both in general and in handling Covid-19/Work/school stress combined with LOTC? (For Administration)” -Nakis#6810Covid is wild, it gives me twenty more hours a week to work on LotC, so… yay?
“What can we expect from 8.0? (For World)” -Soul#9694In terms like the world itself (builds): Sick map and builds- and we’re working our ass off for quality builds for you guys.
In terms of the story and how we'll get there (Story): Story team is already working on a bunch of stuff for 8.0, right Rift? (Yeah) We’ve had some ideas for how we can do transition based events for the next few months leading up until map transfer, yeah. We’ve got a custom map coming up, if you guys saw the teaser. We’re working hard on getting out a rich world to explore and trying to get the best builds on the server. In terms of the plugins we'll use (Development): No devs present! I have chatted with llir about plugins and stuff- there are a lot of cool things currently in the works. I don’t know the status of them, but 8.0 we’ll see a lot of changes.
“When are we moving? (For Administration)” -Sham00e#5026You guys will know when we announce a date.
“How will you explain the end of the world? (For Story)” -Its all so tiresome#0066We had a teaser recently, as I mentioned before we’re planning some stuff out for how the map might end/how we’re getting off. We have things in the works for it.
“Will blobiverse be early access? (For Telanir)” -Billy Sham#7300That’s for Telanir, unfortunately I know nothing about that.
“Will anything be done with the nether next map? (For World and Story)” -RedRiderYT#7752If you’re referring to Xarley’s event line, but that’s limited to this map. We might have future plans, it depends.
“If not, will the resources be in the ct pits? Or will those be gone? (For World)” -Bethinwonderland#3240Find out in the trailer, dude. Going to have to wait and see. There will be alternative ways to getting resources rather than only in CT, I’ll say that.
“I'm very excited by the possible economy changes, are those still coming along like the last post indicated, or have there been further changes? (For World)” -Nakis#6810Yeah I mean Hiebe isn’t here right now but they’re working on it. It’s looking interesting so far, yes.
“When you are performing a heist can you target a shop? (Shop plugin chests) (For Mods)” -Soul#9694Yes! If it’s in a chest, it’s fair game in a heist. This implies that chests shouldn’t be placed in inaccessible locations- there’s a rule against hidden chests.
“From the orcish end of the Uzg, when can we expect some approval on the rehauled shamanism lore that was recently finished? (For Story)” -The Hunter#0877So, everything’s been posted again, we need to get through another few pieces. It might take a week or two, it depends on how long it takes for the other pieces.
“When using ST approved herbs to make salves and other medicines, you do not get a new item for the medication that is made from the herbs. Is there any plan for creating separate items for the medication made using ST approved herbs, with a set amount of uses? The raw reagent and the medication being the same item is rather annoying when keeping things organized and it kind of hurts immersion. (For Story)” -Desired#2831I guess if that’s something you guys want to be done mechanically, that might be something for tech. I know we had stuff being made for the professions plugin, but I’d have to talk to [someone] more about that. From a roleplay POV, that could be done through /sreqs but that might be too much of a hassle.
“Why is the server soo buggy and clitchy. From crashes to lag to alot of clitches. Such as if u read a book it crashes your game. Is it cause of the covid 19 and is there anything that can be done to at least make it better (For Devs)” -Sharkie#5450A lot of the book issues stem from minecraft itself. If you find a specific book you’d like to report you can report it on the forums.
“Will we remain on 1.15 during 8.0 so we don't have a repeat of what happened last time we swapped? (For Devs)” -Evonpire#0044
Yes.
“I apologize for double question asking, but is development on 8.0 far enough to know this. Will we be seeing more event lines unfold on 8.0, on a world basis to really make the atmosphere more interesting? (For Story)” -Evonpire#0044Yeah. There will be more eventlines like this, yep.
“With the Advent of 8.0, will we be seeing more event sites in general to represent the new and untamed continent? (For Story)” -Salty Alty#7030Yes, there will be.
“How big will the 8.0 map be in regards to ease of travel? Will players being pushing forward for 5+ minutes to go from one side of the map to the other? (For Devs, Admin?)” -DisembodiedVoices#7403It would take more than 5 minutes if you wanted to walk, yeah. It’s still gonna be a large map that you can adventure through. There will be ways to make travel easier.
“When are you finally releasing. The conflict rule rewrite? It’s been ages and without conflict the server is becoming staler and staler each day (For Mod Admin)” -kipps#1051Most of the rules are an admin approval, so you’ll see ‘em. They’re not in creation anymore any that’s the plus side.
“Can we hear 8.0 map name? (For World)” -TimberBuff#2397
No.
“Will techlock be changed in any way between this 7.0 and 8.0? How would the Wiki and Lore be affected by these changes, if at all? (For Story)” -Riftiro#9118Similar to guns, it’s something the admins need to discuss. I don’t think there’s going to be sweeping overhauls again. If we do make adjustments, it’s going to be a small thing saying like ‘oh you can use this piece of technology now’. For the second question, the wiki will be updated to reflect the changes. The wiki is been getting a massive update by Lyonharted, hopefully soon. But everything, every single page will be up to date.
“When might we start expecting some end if the map type events? (For Story)” -cobbler#0001
Soon.
“Will we be switching to 1.9 pvp finally, the hit delay make pvp really awkward, I feel that 1.9 pvp would solve that problem. I would also assume that in 8.0 there would be weapons that you could adjust the swing rate of, making nexus weapons more varied, making 1.9 more viable for the new map. (For Devs)” -Law Gnome#8558I will ask Telanir! Highly doubt it will be 1.9.
“Will we have things like thirst and food going off and things like that again soon? (For Devs)” -AstienGreenhart#7262Another Tech Team question. We’ll answer when we can!
“So, when we transfer to 8.0, how are item transfers from this map to the next gonna work? Economy updates? (For World)” -LordScisso#5640We’re probably gonna do what we did last time and ask you to put items into a vault of some sort. If those items have a lore-approval, we might resign them. If they’re outdated, let’s say for runesmithing for example, we would take those items out. Something like that. As for resources, I doubt we’ll be letting those through.
“Where is the best place I can find recent and up to date info about things to come and stuff going to be happening soon in regards to the LOTC. Such as plugin development goals, teasers, map change etc.” -Danylwb#5287The announcements section of the forums as well as the Discord announcements.
“Why was runesmithing denied?” -Racker / Lefty#7206It didn’t fit the criteria of what the ST were looking for.
“Can those map transitioning items not be affected by text and formatting, as last transition made lots of items look horrible overall & 'signed by flam' (For Admin/Tech)” -nano#0784We do have access to a command that can remove signatures, so we won’t have to do reformatting on all that- hopefully.
“Can the runesmithing question be elaborated on, what exactly did not fit the criteria (For Story)” -Racker / Lefty#7206That is something I (Rift) am grabbing from one of my managers.
“With magic, will self teaching be brought back in any way shape or form? (For Story)” -Luna_Faithful#4247
Self teaching is already a thing.
“So, on economy updates for next map, what should we expect? Will money be harder to come across than just for voting? (For World)” -LordScisso#5640
Yes, much harder. It’s gonna be more dynamic rather than just getting on each day to get a set amount of mina. You’ll have to start working for your money.
“Will shop of wonders still be a thing next map? (For World)” -Sliw#0001
I guess that’s up to the economy team.
“Will there be a magic plugin? (For Devs)” -garentoft#1980
That’s another tech question.“Will safety be a thing again? (For Admin)” -Sliw#0001
Safety is still a thing.“Is it possible to get more enchantments for next map, rather than locked to shop of wonders? (For Tech)” -nano#0784
That would be another tech question unfortunately.“Will we get more looks at 8.0 before it comes out? like sneak peeks, etc. (For World)” -AstienGreenhart#7262

COMMUNITY TEAM UPDATE LOG
JUNE 2020
INTRODUCTION
Hello again!
With the completion of projects, new monk uniforms, and as usual, lots of guidances and applications, this month has been just as jam-packed as the last. I’m excited to tell you guys about everything that’s been going on, and I hope that you guys do read through the whole thing, and have a lovely Wednesday!
JUNE DATA
- Overview -
This month, we saw a total of 370 apps handled, with 200 new players welcomed onto LotC.
Last month, we had 370 applications and 200 new players. Once again, we’ve still maintained about a 1:1 acceptance versus denial rate, with the exact amount being 44.1% of applications being accepted, 8.9% less than last month. As a reminder, the biggest reasons for denial is due to applicants not making the necessary changes within 24 hours of being placed on pending. It appears as though the coronavirus spike, however, is lessening. I’ve put together a graph where you can see the applications we’ve received per month so far this year, and you can see the spike making its peak in April and slowly stabilizing back to normal. To see this graph, look below at “Monthly Applications”.

APPLICATION KING/QUEEN
This month’s Application Queen goes to... @AnonymousAlexa!
Followed behind by @Hopesky123 and @AccioNily!
With 100 applications, Alexa truly has become the Application Queen we all aspire to be. I don’t really understand how she does it, as the most I’ve gotten is, like, 70, but dang that’s some dedication.

PROJECT UPDATES
Application Team – @armajesty
Hello, everyone! The Application Team has been hard at work this month in keeping up with applications. After a group of Community Team members tackled a ton of applications in one day we have steadily been able to keep the submissions down to one page. Our team has been working extremely hard, despite the overwhelming amount of apps that are being submitted. (As of June 28th we are sitting just above 300 applications this month). While the Application Team has been separated into it's own focus group many of the regular Community Team members are still hard at work, handling applications whenever they are available. This small change in the team has really benefitted us in regards to productivity as we experience far less burnout from overworked members. Alongside all of this, we have begun to work on ways to spruce up our applications by adding rotating roleplay scenarios in order to gain more varied responses from applicants and further measure the skill they bring to the server
Content Creation – @N00tN00t_
Hi guys! Fie's here again with another HAWT update for the Content Creation Team! We've been hard at work - as always. At this point, I would like to thank all of my Content Creators for their incredible work, devotion and love. Big shout-out to @Amelica for making art for the skin archive! Big shout-out to @JokerLow for collecting a lot of footage! Big shout-out to @xDK for literally working hard all the time! I'd also like to thank @ImNerdiie, @Parion, and @ElvenMommaHacker for being hard at work as well! We've managed to do a lot this month, and honestly, all I can say right now is that I hope you guys keep up the good work! For next month, we'd like to finish some videos, recruit a few more video editors and maybe a few more skinners and artists as well. If you are interested in joining the Content Creation Team, feel free to apply for an interview here;
https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forms/52-content-creation-staff-application/.Events – All Management
The month of June held two of our repeating events; the Creative Cafe and the Battle of the Arts! This month flew by, but we have much in store for the players of Lord of the Craft. We have three events planned for the future though all of which remain a secret... for now. Look forward to the forum posts that will be featured in the Announcements section of the forums later this month for tons of fun! We'd like to give a big thank you to all over the Community Team volunteers who make these events possible and who strive to bring the community together. Thanks to everyone for your participation
Pots and Pandits – @TimberBuff
Hey friends! Your friendly neighborhood tree here to give you some updates on Pots and Pandits! We've gotten the project off the ground with some basics, a training area, and the personas and lore of it being set up. Right now, we're working a few of the kinks out of the system, such as working on how individual sessions will work, the pass/fail system, and quite a bit more! Stay tuned for a bunch of delinquents going to the inexperienced fighters of the world and demanding they hand over their pots and pans. We look forward to working with you all!
Read more about the Pots and Pandits team here: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/192542-pots-and-pandits/.
Projects – @snoopie12
Hey there! New face here, I am snoopie and had the honor to lead the projects focus group a bit. This month the projects group has shaken a few times due to managers departing from staff, so we had quite a few different managers for projects last month. Because of this we have not made the massive progress we did last month, however, I am happy to announce that some of our major projects are releasing soon! Tutorial Island is awaiting its last admin review, while our ‘travelers guild’ is going through community management review. Once passed by the community team the monk lore rewrite will be going towards the lore team for review. Then we also have some fresh new projects introduced this month, starting with our uniforms. We are hardly working on updating our monk uniforms and making some nice skins for both monks as members of the ‘travelers guild.’ Our other new project is script writing! In this project, we write scripts for ‘how-to’ videos that help the player base, especially new players to understand how things on the server work. All with all next month promises to be a great month with lots of progress. Furthermore, we will be gathering feedback from the players on what our next major project could be, so if you have anything that would improve the server and is a bit realistic, please let us know!
Wiki Team – @TimberBuff
The Forum Technician, @Lyonharted™, has been working on a new major update for the wiki still and is continuing great work! We’ve seen some of this update being made, and it looks fantastic so far. While we are waiting for the update, Wiki Team members are working on updating various outdated pages as well as creating new ones that are referenced in different parts of the wiki but were never made. Once again, if you’d like to help with this large update for the wiki (it’s lots of moving and copying pages), please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/ENVJ6CCZSr67LK4EA.
JULY’S DIRECTION
Last month was primarily about engagement, projects, and more community advocacy. This month, we’re focusing more on the solidification of our new team, the Application Team, and our revised focus group, Pots and Pandits, as well as pushing out some projects and content!
Last Month’s Goals
-
Tutorial Island
Tutorial Island is done. The last thing we are waiting for is our lovely Development Administrator to be back from a quick trip to help us release it! But the details, NPCs, region flags, buildings, even the forum post is 100% done. So as soon as we’re ready, it’ll be released! Just as a note, you will be able to go to Tutorial Island without being a newly-accepted player by heading to the dock next to the Shop of Wonders. It is there right now, but you can’t actually use the boat until it’s released.
-
Application Team
So far, the institution of the Application Team has been a success. Even when Application Team members are unavailable to help all the time, they still assist with reviewing applications, making decisions on applications, providing input, etc. In addition, it relieves the stress of being required to do applications from the Community Team members who didn’t necessary sign up for apps, though it still allows members to select the AT as their focus group if they did sign up for apps. It’s a win-win situation, and the separation of apps from the team’s core duties was, for sure, the right decision.
-
Community Events
We’ve continued with our community events this month, with another Battle of the Arts and Creative Cafe being run this month. Currently, we have two more events in the making, so keep an eye out for announcements regarding those! I’m hoping that we will always have at least two events in the making (besides repeated monthly events such as Battle of the Arts) in order to keep community events going, and with any Community Team member being able to volunteer to run an event, it looks like we’re gonna see more and more events in the future.
This Month’s Goals
-
Tutorial Island
Once again, this is going to be a goal, as even though it is done, it will require the team to monitor it, gather feedback from players, etc. to ensure that it is the best it possibly can be. Of course, I anticipate that Tutorial Island will require some work even after its release due to feedback and possible mistakes we didn’t catch beforehand, though I’m thrilled to finally have it out and ready.
-
Monk Lore and the Traveller’s Guild
The Traveller’s Guild has been a thing for a long while, though it hasn’t been released yet. Current, it is being reviewed by Community management, so I’m looking to see the project finally integrated alongside Tutorial Island, since both will change the way monk guidance works. As for monk lore, it’s been rewritten (though still based off of the the Triumvirate and such) by the team, so once it is reviewed fully by Community management, it will be sent on to the Story Team. This is hopefully something that will be done this next month as well.
-
Projects Focus Group
The Projects focus group has been hard at work on guides, Tutorial Island, monk lore, traveller’s guild, and a monk guidance rewrite. However, all of these projects are at an end. Guides was moved to Broom Crew and completed a month or two ago, Tutorial Island is done and awaiting release, monk lore is written, Traveller’s Guild and the monk guidance rewrite are awaiting management reviewal, and that leaves nothing left for them to do! As such, this is another focus for this month: starting new projects for the Projects focus group. The group has already put together a feedback form for you guys to suggest what you’d like to see us work on, so if you have any ideas, find the form here: https://forms.gle/k5gdAwp2cjvPJzZt9.
If you have any questions or comments about the direction that we are going in, feel free to leave a comment down below or reach out to a team member.

Pots and Pandits
Introduction
Pots and Pandits is a group under the Community Team that teaches new players how to Combat Roleplay (CRP) without power-gaming while still being realistic in a way that meets an end goal.
Pots and Pandits was created to introduce CRP to people unfamiliar with it in an in-character setting. The goal of the Focus Group is to give those people an idea of how to properly CRP while avoiding powergamingPurpose
Pots and Pandits originally was created to teach players how to do combat roleplay. New players can sign up for special CRP training to try learning the basics of how combat roleplay works. These small training sessions aim to bring down the number of powergaming incidents, inform people of the rules surrounding combat (countdowns, status, running before the countdown ends, etc.), make the combat experience more enjoyable, and let CRP-based events run smoother. Besides normal training, the Pots and Pandits team also hosts ‘raids’ every now and then. In these so-called ‘raids,’ we go ‘banditing’ new players to collect pots and pans. The goal is to get new players involved in crp and let them know what to do if a situation like that actually arises
#com-mod-req
If moderators find a new player not quite understanding something in the server such as CRP, banditry rules, or proper villainy, we try our best not to outright punish them like we would with an experienced player. Moderators have the option of filling out a com-mod req, where a CT member can meet up with said new player and show them how to properly follow the rules in place for the respective systems.
For Pots and Pandits specifically, moderators will get in touch with members of the group using the #com-mod-req channel in the LotC staff discord when the particular instance pertains to the new player not quite understanding the rules of CRP, be it the give-and-take system, rolling, or the rules when it comes to switching to PVP outright. After the com-mod req is filled out, a member of Pots and Pandits will take the new player aside to show them the ropes in the particular area they had trouble with.Sessions
In order to provide constant assistance, we have two sorts of sessions available: the team’s personally managed ‘raid’ sessions and sessions that can be requested in #crp-training-request in the main LoTC discord. Training applied for through #crp-training-request will be one on one between the new player and a Pots and Pandits member. During these training sessions, they will learn the basic mechanisms and rules of combat roleplay. And throughout the unannounced ‘raid’ sessions, the location of online new players will be looked at and a few of them will be ‘bandited.’ To prevent us from scaring or intimidating them, we will let them know beforehand. This will make sure they are at least somewhat prepared and will hopefully allow us to provide better quality combat roleplay.
Conclusion
We hope that you guys are just as excited for this as us! If you have any questions, comments, concerns, etc., feel free to leave a comment down below, and a team member will do their best to help you out. Keep an eye out for our upcoming announcement of our first session.

As much as I hate playing the part of the cynical pessimist, I feel this needs to be said; As good of a message as this is-- and it’s a very good message, don’t misunderstand-- it seems to me that this is a lot of words with little weight behind them. As great as it would be for everyone to play nice, the fact remains that due to inaction on the part of all parties involved, nothing will change. So long as the powers that be, either by intention or ignorance, willingly turn a blind eye to the issues in question for whatever reason, there will continue to be no confidence in the system. With no confidence in the system, people won’t step forward when they’re mistreated. When people stop stepping forward, the inaction appears justified, and the cycle continues. Nothing will change, harassment and toxicity will continue.
tl;dr: If you want change, the way to do it is through principle and integrity, not just telling people to be better. Change is achieved by action.

7 hours ago, Xarkly said:Definitely agree with the message but also strongly agree with Astrias when he underlines the importance of change in dealing with this. Not gonna repeat his spiel, but the Administration has been very complicit in building at atmosphere of frustration on this server, because the community is very slow to trust them to do their job to make this server both an enjoyable and safe place. Inactivity, the Safety Team, the Dev walkout and the reasons for it are all big reasons, and the list is pretty long.
Not to rag on a nice message but this problem is definitely more nuanced than telling folk to be nice, and about addressing the deep-seethed frustrations that spurn some of this dissatisfaction.
The Safety Team was an awful attempt at doing something relatively okay. I understood the idea behind it, but its execution was the worse it could possibly have been. I still don’t fully understand why Techxit happened, and I believe the Administration is moving away from inactivity. At least, members of the team aren’t disappearing for long periods of time, not doing anything within their staff teams, etc., so that’s nice. But there are definitely lots of things that the Admins have done and probably will do still that hurt the trust between us and the community. And that sucks. The Administration is not something that I wanted to address in this post, as I meant this post to be coming from me as a member of the community, not as a staff member / Admin / Community Team Member/ etc., but in terms of Administration, shoot me a PM and we can go over how we can fix some of the issues that you see. I genuinely want to help, and I’m 110% open to talk about any ideas, frustrations, concerns, suggestions, etc. that you have. Just the message of this post isn’t pertaining to staff vs players, but rather community member vs community member, if that makes sense.
7 hours ago, JokerLow said:i remember trying to talk to [redacted] about an issue between me and his group. it ended up in him calling me out for stuff i didnt do and threaten to ban report me for harrassing him if keep messaging him about fixing the problem
Sometimes, trying to have a conversation with someone really just doesn’t work. I’m not saying it will work every time, I’m trying to say that it’s better to attempt to speak about your qualms with someone rather than delve into a spiral of harassment.

Personally, during my ban process the only moderator who has shown me compassion is @frill who is currently suspended for speaking his mind which is completely disgusting in my opinion.
If you push for a kind community, you must first treat them with the kindness that you preach. I agree entirely with all your points, however people make mistakes and part of being kind is to show compassion.
Well, I’m glad that you agree with what I’m trying to say. As for the Administration side of things, I will try to help where and when I can. My PM’s are open. The situation with Frill, for note, is a bit more complicated than that. Again, my PM’s are open to discuss that as well, just I’ll have to talk to Braxis about what all I can discuss, since it’s about Moderation and stuff going on in there rather than anything on my team. But I’m open to talking about whatever.

Thanks. Yeah I understand that I may come off as a tree-hugger who thinks that everything will be solved if everyone just hugs it out, but I’m not trying to say that.

1 hour ago, frill said:A twee post is fine for those with the rationality to modify their behaviour and self-reflect, but for the rest there is a greater cultural shift that is necessary.
This is meant for what you’ve just said there at the beginning of this statement. As for the greater things (doxxing, pedophilia, sexual predators, harassment, etc.), that does not fall under what I’m talking about. I’m just trying to talk about, well, toxicity.
39 minutes ago, howard said:Protocols can be changed so that knowingly letting banned players assist your nation is a bannable offense. “Investigation bans” (which are Telanir’s greatest invention) can be expanded to include doxing, trying to log in to other players’ accounts, et cetera. In general, moderators desperately need more freedom to enforce the rules and moderate bad behavior separate from administrators who can barely set aside the time to log on.
I do log on every day, as for the last bit there, but I understand that isn’t the case for every Admin. But moving on, I actually agree with your point about doxxing and such. It’s something I can speak to Braxis about, giving Moderation the freedom to enforce the rules and such. We have handled doxxing cases (Administration, that is), though we haven’t done an investigation ban for it. So perhaps investigation bans from Administration can extend to that for those cases, and for Moderation safety cases, it can, too. If you wanna shoot me a PM to talk more about this, then shoot me a friend request.
1 hour ago, howard said:This post is just unbearable. The worst things that happen on this server aren’t “trash-talking,” “unnecessary poking at one’s feelings,” “spreading horrid rumors,” it’s actual molestry and abuse. It’s completely unquestioned misogyny and harassment of female players. It’s overt racism in OOC chat.
As for this bit, like I said to Frill, I’m not really talking about that; it’s not the topic of what I’m trying to discuss. Rather, I’m talking about small-scale toxicity.
1 hour ago, howard said:The time for staff to take action on a private report can be months. The solution to LotC’s “toxicity” problem isn’t for everyone to be polite. It’s not for players to disengage. You can disengage from “malicious and awful behaviour” and still, through no fault of your own, be targeted by “malicious and awful behavior.” The solution to LotC’s seemingly endless toxicity problem is for staff to actually answer reports and deal with shitty behavior.
There are people on this server who deserve to be confronted, who deserve to (and bear with me on this one) have rumors spread about them. Pun was only ever removed from admin because people went public with posts that were immediately dismissed by other sex pests as “just rumors.”
I can’t really speak on Moderation’s time to take action, but as for Administration, with the more recent reports we’ve gotten, it’s been handled within a few days, and in extreme cases, upwards of a week or two. Better than months, I suppose. As for Moderation, I can’t really speak on that, since I’m not as much of a part of that team as I used to be a few months ago. Though if there’s ever an issue with Moderation not dealing with something for whatever reason, my PM’s are open. Shoot me a PM, let me know, and I will do what I can to ensure that it’s handled. I do know that some reports I have submitted have taken weeks and sometimes nearing months on that end in the past.
If the rumours are true, that’s one thing. That’s not really a rumour, just rather people spreading facts about someone. There’s kinda a grey line there, as to what is a rumour and what isn’t, because sometimes something you think is a rumour is true, and sometimes something you think is true is a rumour. But regardless of that, the situation with Pun was awful. It should’ve been handled better. I wasn’t on the Administration Team at the time (I think I was just a Community Team Member, not even a member), but I agree. Should’ve been handled better. The good news is that after the Pun situation, the day that we got a report on another Admin, they were gone. Completely gone. If anyone catches wind of crap like that, it should be handled timely. It should be handled immediately. Sex pests are disgusting, and although it’s not what I meant to address in my post, I understand your frustration with the situation and how it’s been handled (or rather, hasn’t been handled) in the past.
As for the first bit in particular (”You can disengage from “malicious and awful behaviour” and still, through no fault of your own, be targeted by “malicious and awful behavior.” The solution to LotC’s seemingly endless toxicity problem is for staff to actually answer reports and deal with shitty behavior.”), I know. Not engaging in “malicious and awful behaviour” oftentimes still results in receiving “malicious and awful behaviour”. That’s just harassment, if it keeps going, and staff should respond in a timely manner to something like that. If anything ever happens, shoot me a PM. I’ll do what I can to make sure that it’s actually addressed, and not in months’ time. But I definitely agree.

This data is pretty insane, big props to the CT Admin and her team for spearheading the data gathering.
Could you also track where these new applicants are coming from? I think it would greatly help out to understand where the newer players are finding LOTC, and possibly look into promoting content on those channels.
Thank you!
Definitely a possibility. I can add that to our data-collection and see where most people are saying their referrals are from.

On the Topic of Kindness and Toxicity
I’d like to take a moment to speak on something that I’ve wanted to speak on for a while but have been reluctant to. This topic is kindness, or moreso the lack of it.
Lord of the Craft is a roleplay, medieval, fantasy server filled with beautiful settlements, in-depth and unique lore, wondrous events, and most importantly, a fantastic and vast community. Hundreds of people log on every day, and even more interact with the community in some way every day. And during all my time as a member of the LotC community, I have seen one thing it seems to lack a lot of times: kindness. People hurt each other. People fight. Whether it be over friend group troubles, drama, or roleplay, people fight. And I don’t just mean light bickering, I mean fighting. Consistent trash-talking, constant unnecessary poking at one’s feelings to get a rise out of them, attempts to blackmail, spreading horrid rumours about them, vicious name-calling to the point where it gets personal, and just downright malicious and awful behaviour. And it’s terrible.
I understand that sometimes, people say and do things that aren’t well-liked. I understand that people trash-talk one another to their friends, and although that isn’t okay, it’s not the issue I have. I understand that sometimes, people get very, very mad and blow up sometimes. What I don’t understand is the malicious, vicious behaviour exhibited by members of the community. I don’t understand why someone would go out of their way to belittle, slander, or attack someone, and in extreme cases, genuinely wanting to ruin their life. I don’t understand why people do not understand that although you aren’t physically beating up whoever you’re targeting, you are still harming them, and that’s something that should never be wished upon a person, no matter what.
Don’t get me wrong; I’m not perfect either. I’ve had my fair share of bickering, faulty decisions, and otherwise; no one is truly innocent in this. However, I don’t wish harm on others, and I don’t understand why anyone would want that.
Before you say something, please think for a moment. Perhaps try to start a discussion with whoever is annoying you so much to where you wish genuine harm on them. If a discussion doesn’t work, then please do not continue the cycle of hate by lashing out at them. If someone is harassing you or being toxic towards you, block them and report them. If a staff member makes a decision you don’t like, reach out to their manager, or if it’s a manager/admin, to an admin. My PM’s are always open. If it’s me you have a problem with, shoot me a PM. If you can’t PM me on Discord, simply PM me on the forums, and we can talk. Discuss what’s up. Have an honest and open discussion about the issues. Again, if a discussion doesn’t work with whoever you have qualms with, then just leave them alone. But either way, show them this act of kindness by not pursuing it anymore (unless the individual in question won’t leave you alone, then report it).
What I’m trying to say is that we shouldn’t be so quick to spit viciousness at each other. We shouldn’t jump to hurting one another. If someone is being an issue, report them. If you have a qualm with someone, perhaps try talking to them about it. If that doesn’t work or if you don’t wanna try it, just leave it. It isn’t worth the energy of harming others, and it certainly doesn’t do any good.
We are all people. Each one of us has feelings, each one of us has a life, a family, friends, goals, motives, experiences, trauma, crappy ex-friends... Each one of us gets upset, angry, cries, screams, makes mistakes, says the wrong things, does the wrong things, etc. We all are human.
Think before you lash out. Be civil. Report harassment, don’t engage in it. End the cycle of hate.
Please.

COMMUNITY TEAM UPDATE LOG
MAY 2020
INTRODUCTION
Hello again!
The past month has been wild. With a focus group change (Broom Crew → Pots and Pandits), a completely new team (Application Team), and, of course, loads of applications, monk guidances, and projects, things have been moving forward!
APRIL DATA
- Overview -
This month, we saw a total of 370 apps handled, with 200 new players welcomed onto LotC.
Last month, we had 395 applications and 216 new players. As usual, we’ve still maintained about a 1:1 acceptance versus denial rate, with the exact amount being around 53% of applications being accepted, 2% less than last month. Of course, the biggest reasons for denial is due to applicants not making the necessary changes within 24 hours of being placed on pending, though a common reason for denial also includes simply having a lot of things needing to be fixed/changed with their app! If an applicant has over 5 issues with their app, we typically deny them, as that usually means they have to rewrite a large chunk of their application. This gives them a chance to start fresh. While before they’d be waiting days to get reviewed, applications are being reviewed within a few hours now thanks to our new Application Team (read more on that below), so it’s less troublesome to have to make a new application. Similar to last month, we’ve still had quite unusually high amounts of applications, but it’s seeming to begin to lessen as the quarantine ends for many people around the globe.

APPLICATION KING/QUEEN
This month’s Application Queen goes to... @LotsOfMuffins!
Followed behind by @Dinochann and @TimberBuff!
Back again once again to accidentally reclaim my crown, I have managed to review nearly 50 applications this month. I don’t really ever plan on achieving Application Queen; it just kinda happens. Whoops.

PROJECT UPDATES
- Application Team – @LotsOfMuffins -
The Application Team was led by @LotsOfMuffins for the duration of its set up. However, the Community Manager who will be overseeing it from this point on is @armajesty! The team has had a great start, already clearing up the applications page in a matter of days thanks to the amazing staff volunteers. The team is comprised of both Community Team Members and other volunteers from different parts of staff who work together to review applications, collect feedback from new players post-acceptance, and ensure that the application process is the best it can be. This team is only available to Community Team Members and current staff members. CT Members are no longer required to do applications, though those who chose to be a part of the AT are required. This is to prevent burnout; if a member is feeling burnt out from apps, they can simply switch out of the team and into a different focus group, allowing someone else to join the open spot and review applications in their place. Not only has this encourage CT Members to focus more on the community and advocating, interacting, and helping the community, but it’s also alleviated stress from the team to handle loads of apps in order to keep up with the heavy influx.
- Content Creation – @NotAFie -
Hii, guys!! Fie's here. I'm gonna get straight to the point. The month is over, and once again a lot has happened with the Content Creation Team. First of all, I'd like to thank each and every Content Creator for putting their effort and time into this team. You all are greatly appreciated and loved. Quite a few have joined and left this month. Currently we have Amelica and puffables on the team as our artists, ElvenMommaHacker and xDK as video editors, JokerLow as footage recorder, and Beordan, Parion, ImNerdiie, and Amelica as our skinners. ImNerdiie is also a builder for the team. You all are amazing, keep the great work up!!
Our current projects include training and tutorial videos, reworking the skin archive, and Tutorial Island in collaboration with the CT Projects focus group, which is managed by the lovely @puffables, and the World Team. In addition, we are updating the website’s home page; xDK and our devs are hard at work on this!
The future goals for this team is to finish the current projects and let new ones roll in. Once again, thank you all for your amazing help.
That's all I have to say. Cheers!- Events – All Management -
Over on in events, we hope you all enjoyed the Labyrinth event run by many of our fabulous CT - some nifty little prizes in store for those who could get through the danger, traps and puzzles! A big thanks to the events team for their hard work in both preparing and running this - and thank you all who participated! ❤️
- Pots and Pandits – @armajesty -
Hello, everyone! We are happy to announce that not that Broom Crew has completed it's tasks of reworking Pots n' Pandits and revamping the skin archive, we will be installing the new focus group for Pots n' Pandits. This focus group will focus around teaching new players about the Conflict Rules, Rollplay vs roleplay and overall how to CRP properly. Players are recommended to work with these Pots n' Pandits Group members by moderation if they display innapropriate behaviour in regards to roleplay. This can include powergaming, or just low quality RP. Alongside this, the members of the group will be creating a NPC-based system on tutorial island that functions as a tutorial about CRP and how it is done. These NPC guides will offer tips and tricks on how to make CRP more enjoyable for everyone.
- Projects – @puffables -
Heya gamers, this month over in projects, we've been doing the finishing touches and have now concluded several of our projects! Our 'travellers guild' has been completed, needing only final review before launching. Guidance Rework has tied into this - solidifying a good system that ensures an interactive first experience for new players, as well as building a link to nations and charters. The monk lore rewrite is well underway - some finishing touches to our submissions occurring still now.
The largest project of this month has been finishing the Tutorial Island. A huuge thanks to everyone who helped out with this, all our projects members and assisting WT - but an especially big thanks to @ImCookiie and @ImNerdiie for being driving forces in this, and for their excellent work in pushing this forwards towards completion !! ❤️❤️
Looking forwards to seeing all this in action, and a better first experience for new players achieved overall!- Wiki Team – @Nestro_Miner -
The wiki, as of late, has unfortunately met with some technical difficulties, some rather major ones at that, specifically when creating accounts and attempting to upload images. However, we can assure everyone that there is light at the end of this tunnel. The Forum Technician, @Lyonharted™, has been working on a new major update for the wiki, however, not much can be said about it at the moment! In spite of all this, I’m proud to say that the Wiki Team has been continuously doing their work! This month’s focus was updating and creating settlement guides and we’ve been doing an excellent job thus far! Our next focus after settlements is moving on to nation guides!
At the beginning of May, we announced a new reward system given to players with the top three most wiki edits (a quick reminder of what you could win: first place gets 1800 Minas, second place gets 1200, and third place gets 600)!
Here are this month’s winners!First place - 1_Language_1 with 135 edits this month!
Second place - James2k with 93 edits this month!
Third place - Eryane with 36 edits this month!JUNE’S DIRECTION
Last month was primarily about engagement, projects, and more community advocacy. This month, we’re focusing more on the solidification of our new team, the Application Team, and our revised focus group, Pots and Pandits, as well as pushing out some projects and content!
- Last Month’s Goals -
-
Community Advocacy
Our latest community advocacy project has been spearheaded by the outstanding @puffables! Thanks to her hard work, we’ve finished gathering feedback from over 20 new players, settlement leaders, and established players. Although we didn’t meet our usual goal in terms of how many players we interview, we’re still doing our best to continue on and improve! The feedback is currently being compiled so Community Management can have a meeting, discuss the results, and implement changes! I’d like to give a special shoutout to @DinoChann, who interviewed nearly 10 different people for the project. That’s about half of the total interviews! For more information on how this works, take a look at last month’s Community Update, which can be found here: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/191343-community-team-update-april-2020/.
-
Monk Guidance
All but one team member has completed at least one monk guidance this month, as per our goal, with the average per member being about two guidances. This month, we’ve seen a total of over 50 new players given monk guidance, which is a huge increase compared to past months. With PM’ing applicants on discord after acceptance informing them of the process, leaving comments on accepted applications with the command they should run to receive it, and generally encouraging CT Members to guide more new players, we’ve definitely improved tremendously. This system is going to change soon, however, with the finishing touches of Tutorial Island being made; all new players will be run through this tutorial, and as such, monk guidances (hopefully) won’t have to be nearly as in-depth. In addition, every single new player will be informed after exiting Tutorial Island to run the /creq command for additional help getting started, so hopefully this means that we will be seeing even more monk guidances being completed in the coming weeks following the release of Tutorial Island!
-
The Wiki Team
The Wiki Team has a huge and necessary update coming from the one and only @Lyonharted™, which will help with a lot of the issues the wiki currently faces. Although I cannot speak too much on the changes to come, keep an eye out, as we’ll send out an announcement with more info once the project has progressed more. However, if you would like to assist the Wiki Team in transcribing, organizing, and moving stuff around, please fill out the following form: https://forms.gle/ENVJ6CCZSr67LK4EA. Be warned, though; it’s a lot of copy/pasting. For a good cause!
- This Month’s Goals -
-
Tutorial Island
@ImNerdiie, @puffables, and @ImCookiie have been hard at work putting the finishing touches on Tutorial Island. The NPC’s are almost done, the settlement boats have been built and are being put into the build itself now, and it’s nearly ready to go to Admin Approval! This is a huge game-changer in terms of helping new players understand the commands, functionalities, etc. of the server upon first joining, so of course, it’s our goal this month to finally push it out! Unfourtunately, we haven’t been able to push this out sooner due to how big of a project it really is. It’s a lot of building, writing, and planning! But hopefully, we’ll be able to finish sorting out the finishing touches and NPC’s and get it out as soon as possible. I’d like to give a huge, huge, huge shoutout to @ImNerdiie for being such a fantastic help with this project. She’s spent hours and hours on building and planning the island, and all her hard work is quite obvious by just taking a look at what she’s built. It’s an amazing build that I cannot wait for you guys to see!
-
Application Team
Ensuring that the new Application Team runs smoothly is another goal of ours for this month! Team members have mostly already been trained, CT Members have been working well with the AT Members to ensure that applications are getting done and that feedback is getting implemented, and after a short period where I ran it to get it off its feet, it now has an official manager: @armajesty. Things are going pretty well, though of course, it’s a goal to ensure that it continues to go well!
-
Community Events
Last month, @puffables planned a fantastic maze event with some volunteers from the team, though we have four events that are going to be in planning this month, including another Creative Cafe and Battle of the Arts! We haven’t released as many community events since the focus group was changed into Broom Crew (and then Pots and Pandits), though it has helped us dedicate more time to projects, script writing for Content Creation, etc., so it was a necessary shift. Creative Cafe is currently being planned by @LordScisso, Battle of the Arts by @armajesty, one of our upcoming big events by @TimberBuff, and our fourth event is TBD. Team members can volunteer to run or help with events, which is why we have a different group running the events each time. Keep an eye out for some announcements regarding our upcoming events and be sure to hop in and participate!
If you have any questions or comments about the direction that we are going in, feel free to leave a comment down below or reach out to a team member.

Questions and Answers
“What kind of updates will we be seeing with the mod team in the future?” -Unwillingly
Last weekend, the Moderation update was posted since Braxis fricked up with the March update. They had it on a Google Doc but forgot to post it. The April update was postponed due to Braxis being sick, but the newest update has all their projects and such on it now and reasoning for delays. Next month will have a normal announcement.
“Warserver please?” -pkdon
Warserver wasn’t used due to the amount of lag and such, though right now, the software that runs the warserver was not the best. People are used to not getting transferred correctly, losing items, it being buggy, etc., though Llir is working on rebuilding the warserver from the ground up. He wants it up sometime before the start of midsummer, sometime around next month.
“Can you please also comment why the new war rules written by Braxis and Syko did not pass Admin Approval?” -harold
Braxis submitted one or two CB systems, gathering feedback from Xarkly’s thread and through other methods such as the public discord, doing a war patch that will be a CB system and a standard to the war system. CB’s will have a proper list and you can’t just make one out of thin air. Two variants that were brought up were certain CB’s equal certain types of war or a point system as we had before but much more strict with stacking and system. Both got shut down for many reasons, though they’re currently working on a third version with some of the admin feedback. Hopefully it’ll be posted in a week or so. Can’t answer the specific why it was denied, only that the other admins saw possible issues from the past and it’d be too messy and mod-heavy, though gathering the feedback they’ve gotten, players want better Moderation of war, so that’s going to be worked on. Some admins are very cautious with this war change.
“Horse armor that isn't depressing leather when?” -Sarven
You are able to purchase higher tier horse armour from the Shop of Wonders right now. Our PvP system, we do sorta have a nerfed state; our weapons do less and the armour is only iron tops, so this is something that could be looked at when our PvP system is looked at. For this map, we’re sticking with this, though it’s a possibility for next map.
“How goes Tutorial Island?” -TeeSeeDubs [Fenn]
Tutorial Island is pretty much built. We’re just working on the technicalities of it and putting in the NPC’s, etc. Unfourtunately puffables has been a bit backed up due to some roleplay stuff, but we’re working hard on it and have made lots of progress!
“Can we build more of a connection between Stewards and CT members who go over applications to ensure accuracy? I know that it’s pretty difficult to remember all that lore.” -TeeSeeDubs [Fenn]
That’s what the wiki is supposed to be for, gathering info and such, but the team is already encouraged to reach out to members of those communities in #settlement-support to ask for assistance when necessary and other team members in our chats.
“Why do we not require someone to have lore based knowledge when they want to play a specific race? Some races do have very defining features if they come from an area- and if they only say where the race is from it does not mean they understand it fully. I have been told to give them a discord link and get them to join- but if someone falsely thinks their character is hated by the community they may never actually come.” -Punkinator919
They can reach out to people if they need assistance, but staff can’t really put restrictions on the main races. The Community Team is not going to require new players to apply as someone from their race-specific settlement, and they can learn about it in-character.
If they state something wildly incorrect, please feel free to reach out to a Community Manager.
“Are there age maximums for new players? New players can not be a super old character and truly know the history of the community.” -Punkinator919
This is being worked on. Yes.
“Can we possibly not allow new players to be 'banished' or 'well-known criminals' in a nation as well?” -Punkinator919
They shouldn’t be “well-known”. Feel free to reach out to a Community Manager.
“How is the economy going to be fixed either in the near future or for the new map?” -Law Gnome
Feel free to reach out to Hiebe, a World Team Manager, since he’s doing the economy stuff. They cannot answer anything regarding next map.
“Will there be more events somewhere in the same vein as the Voidal Attacks?” -Coffee | Moo_bot
They do have more events and eventlines in the work. Can’t speak to PvE stuff in particular as it’s up to the ET who are running it, but yes, expect more event arcs in the future.
“Why can’t the lockpick plugin be used to also get into chests?” -Racker / Lefty
When we implement something into a plugin, rules or regulations become more difficult to enforce. Under the current rules, and it’s been this way for like five years, you aren’t allowed to lockpick chests. It’d be a major shift, people would have to change how they store stuff, etc., and we can discuss it in the future, but it’d be a long discussion as to how the specifics should be. The post for heists should be coming up the next few days, though Moderation has to test some bugs with LWC. If some doors are half-locked or stuck open because of the LWC update last month, it’ll make heists unfair for the defenders. Hopefully you’ll see the heist post soon.
“Why can we place fish?” -ibraheemcninja [Al-Faiz]
They’re looking to turn it on for spawning, but the Tech Team has to make sure they don’t naturally spawn because next thing you know there are 1,000 fish in the map and it causes a lot of lag. As for placing them down, they’ll look into having that enabled again.
“How should the war/conflict system work?” -_Gorkil [Krugmar]
They are looking to bring back war camp/path system. Something they wanna do is a dynamic shifting warzone. Can use the warserver and wargames and skirms and such and then a big official skirm where the map will change accordingly. Ex. if dwarves and orcs are back at war, the warmap can change to reflect who is getting pushed back and such. Raid rules are also looking to reflect that so the winning side has options to reduce CD slightly or allowing slightly larger raids, capped to prevent snowballing but to put pressure on defenders so that there are consequences to skirmishes and such. These are just ideas they’re playing with. If they have an idea for a dynamic war system, shoot a PM to Braxis since he’s collecting feedback into a channel and such and attempting to tackle it. War is one of the biggest projects the Moderation Team will ever handle.
“Why can’t players make modreqs to convert quartz blocks into quartz pieces (mainly this one) as well as maybe wool into string?” -ibraheemcninja [Al-Faiz]
That’s something they’re looking into, but at the same time, there’s probably reasons as to why it’s not allowed, so they gotta do some research to see why they can’t. For those two specifics, Braxis can’t say yes or no yet, but it’s a project they’re looking into.
“Make it a priority for world devs or ET’s to remove unused or old event sites (not including important monuments or buildings of interest). Also will World Devs try harder to clean up the map of land scars (this includes Wildlands)?” -Human Bean
Mainly Voop has been looking at some tickets and some regarding landscars, but if it’s a major case, add Voop on discord or make a ticket. Regarding old event sites and such, the current goal is to keep them but turning them into ruins that you can explore if you’d like in roleplay.
“Will there be any other forms of quick travel besides the soul stone to make travelling and exploring areas more accessible?” -Chaltastic | High Elf gang
Fast travel is being looked into and discussed by the Admin Team, especially in the Fireside thread (https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/191412-faster-travel/). Functional vehicles can’t really happen from a tech perspective.
“Will CT ever get stalls again? I really liked the ones from Atlas and it was really nice to see what people could make without needing AH or travel to another city.” -Bethinwonderland
This is being discussed between Community Team and World Team for next map!
“For the next map on Lotc, can the staff team implement a system where you can maybe do quests and hunts.” -_Gorkil [Krugmar]
Ulmo is looking at funner ways to do like hunts and quests and such. Players can do player-ran hunts, though Llir is looking into a hunting plugin again. So you may see something not too far in the future.
“What is preventing us from going back to 10 man or more raids. You can apply the same rules as there are with 3 man raids, or even include a greater cooldown. If anything, the raid terms in the previous war.” -Qizu [Krugmar/Renelia]
The Moderation Team is looking to see what they can do to change raid numbers to be more dynamic and fun, but until then, they’re are using the 3 man rule for peacetime and such until we get something.
“Also regarding rolling, could the staff team implement racial rolling? So many times I’ve had to deal with this problem where you would go to a house to break some glass and I play an orc so realistically a 200lb+ 7ft y’all orc could break some glass right? No, an orc would have the same chance in rolling as a human, which I think would be fair. Or what if an olog wants to tear down some glass? They would have the same chance as a human or elf! I don’t think that would be fair, and would the staff team be open to implementing racial rolling.” -_Gorkil [Krugmar]
This is a system that was discussed in the past to implement something more like DnD stats for characters. It’s something that the Administration Team might be willing to do in the future with some more feedback and such. The standard right now is that all races are equal in terms of mechanics, as they’ve been abused, such as elves playing humans by just clipping their ears for better bow stats.
“Is the Resource Node system the final one we are sticking with? There are many issues associated with it.” -RequiemOfLight [Talon’s Grotto]
It’s definitely not the final system; it’s being changed as necessary. You can expect another two or three changes. As for cooldowns not showing, that was a change squakhawk implemented to try to deal with the issues directly mentioned before, though it seems like that’s not working, so that’s another thing likely to be changed.
“Why are cooldowns not shown on nodes anymore?” -PeptoDeNewb
See the above answer.
“What does the staff team think about adding a section in CA applications that requires the player to describe the character they are applying for?” -Sybbyl
That is something they should already be addressing in the summary portion of their CA, unless you mean specifically describing their own character as opposed to their race’s lore. If you see someone rule-breaking, make an /sreq!
“How will it work for Nations or groups to obtain tiles for the next map?” -Human Bean
The World Team has not discussed it yet. Next map is still in progress.
“Any idea on the 8.0 launch date?” -Shmeepicus
No.
“Will berserker axes ever come back?” -Doggedwasupxxx
On berserker axes specifically, Llir doesn’t know, but as for others, potentially in a professions system update.
“Will we at some point get the plant nodes back in any sort of way? The items themselves were greatly fleshed out and had everything we needed to know about them without looking at a forum post.” -Zindran
Yes. The Story Team is working on a system for that now.
“Are we getting a profession system sometime in the future?” -Nozoa
That is something Llir has mentioned at least five times during the meeting.7 -
