Appreciation post for the players of LOTC

 

I have been mulling over my experience in LOTC as of lately, and I would just like to put some positivity into the environment, as sometimes we can be overcome with drama and OOC politics. I also apologize if you are not mentioned, but these are people who I think made my experience on the server worthwhile. I would also encourage others to make their own appreciation posts because you can never have too much positivity.

We have lost many people this year in LOTC, and it’s only when we lose them that we sometimes show how much we appreciate them.

 

Shinypikachou: You are so amazingly creative, and I love all the cheer and positivity you put into the Norland community. A lot of the time, Norland does not get as many events as other places, and that’s okay. But you always come in clutch to give us something to enrich our personas. And you always put so much effort into the players and the storylines that run with it. My only regret is our time zones, as I would love to support you more with your player events. But seriously, thank you for everything this year. You are such a dear friend as well. It's sad I only see you once a week or an hour. @ShinyB
 

Hogobojo: Man, thank you so much for making your personas available to others, no matter their time on LOTC. What I mean by this is the personas you make always love to generate odd, weird, and funky roleplay, and you always go out of your way to do so. @HogoBojo
 

Kidkrinkles: I love your persona, Victor. You are such an amazing delight to roleplay with. Victor is enriched with lore, his accent, and the way you play him. You are just genuinely a lovely bloke to roleplay with, and not only that, but you also do camera appearances in the Discords. 

simpleglitchbro: DUDE I cant describe how much I have you to thank for. First of all the first person I met on the LOTC that entertained the newbie pink tag and helped me threw the process. I loved getting to know you through your persona Grimm and I am so proud of how far you have come and grown and loved watching the person you've become. You worried the shit out of me when the hurricanes hit and I am glad you did not get washed away. @simpleglitchbro

Ichigo: Thank you for being the structure we needed three years ago Odin. I don't think I would have stayed around on the server if it were not for you and Rosalind's @PerfectLittleLadycharacter in Norland. You guys really did guide and make all roleplay inclusive to everyone. I remember fondly of times when Alisgrad was under attack and we were all rping in the castle with beds for shelter, shifting and moving things. It really was some awesome roleplay you guys generated when the Frost witchs attacked for the first time in Alisgrad. We wont always see eye to eye. But I do respect you. @ichigomaster98
 

m19: Man, you’ve been a joy for Norland, I really can't lie. The roleplay you have generated and brought up is immaculate. I love the culture you bring and thank you for putting a position on your shoulders of getting us more active, getting us more culture into the Nordic roots. Your events are so inclusive, and you are such a talented writer, so cheers for everything, bro. Your place in the RP community is one of those things where you just make it a better environment. @M1919
 

Turbo Dog: Bro, we go way back. My little _____ buddy. I won’t out you, don’t worry. But I have loved the persona Spuds, and honestly, you are the best Musin player out there. It's so enriching and so much fun. I miss you genuinely, you are such an awesome and kind guy.  @Turbo_Dog
 

Josh: Only met you recently, lad, but the RP between my persona and yours is so enriching AND wholesome you are a great writer and thank you for everything you do on the server as an admin. @Josh
 

Pepto and Mercy: My god, thank you guys for offering me something other than the personas I have. It's really helped me stay in LOTC when I felt a bit cornered. It was really great for me mentally to take a break from my main community and mix and meld with others. I really owe you guys.

Breadnugget: My guy. MY guy. Kieran, damn, what a persona. You are so brilliant, and you are so happy-go-lucky and loving. I adore you, and honestly, you have made my time in Numenost so much better by having you as an OOC friend. @BreadNugget7567

 

Vapourwolf Known as Estel. I really admire the way you have carried that persona across the maps. You’ve kept her true, and her lore is one of the thickest I know. You also always have provided me with amazing medical roleplay, and I really adored our roleplay we had between Sinner and Estel. @Lunan_EXE
 

Elrith : Although I can’t tell you how many times I've wanted to throw your ‘magic’ ball you so much ponder about. The lore you bring to LOTC and the game and the effort you put into the builds I feel is honestly unmatched. So thank you for making my experience in Norland better. I don't think you get thanks enough. you carry a lot on your shoulders. On top of that, your writing is the kind that pushes me to write better. So thank you for the challenge @_Elrith_
 

Pesty: You have been my guiding beacon from the start. We joined together, and we played together. You have really helped me sort out some of my differences, and I'll always look to you for support because you are such the guy for it. And I can't thank you enough for being so wholesomely good. Agytha: One of the best writers I know. Seriously. Thank you for taking the lead in the FW community when things hit the fan. Your work is not unnoticed; I hope you know that. I appreciate you so much. Like others, you challenge me to be better in my roleplay to get further into the story we create and really help me immerse myself in designated game play time. Make sure you take care of yourself. @Agy
 

A7x (known as Seven_fold): Bro, you really gave me light in some really bad times with my chronic illness. You were so supportive of me, and I don’t think words can describe how much you helped me. 
 

Greyson: One of the best villainy RPers I know. What a guy. Although you are STILL short.

I can’t cover all my friends, and I just hope you all know how much I appreciate you all for just being here, being you. This place can easily get very toxic and addictive. So this is my reminder to everyone to take care of themselves this holiday and be kind to everyone that you can. I encourage everyone to recall the good memories they’ve had with their friends or players who you wish you could see more but don’t. Happy holidays, everyone. @Operator_Bugman

Bandwagon Time?

 

While I've not been here long, I've run into my fair share of pretty cool, interesting or otherwise just really amazing folk, and with Calise's request, I'll hop on the bandwagon.

 

248Pengin: With my short presence here, Pengin, so-far has already settled into my mind as one of, if not The Most friendly, and welcoming person in my start of LOTC. Their building is decent, their mindset's firm, and their kindness is insurmountable, and I respect everything he does.

 

GammaRose: Gamma, has one of the most Brilliantly written characters. Every interaction with Storyteller, whether informative, instructional, or minute, has been a blast, with the writing quality of a best selling author, I enjoy, and crave more interactions with such a splendid individual - also Gamma's just really cool OOCly.

 

WinterBlessing: Winter, or Lumi as I call her is just the most kind person ever, after learning I'd lost a few bucks due reasons, Her First, and Only offer to it, was How soon do you need it? This person here, Lumi, is so far, one of the kindest, and most warm-hearted individuals I've ever encountered within my life, and Mora is just an amazing character also.

 

Junoix: Juno is my go-to Bagel-Expert, and Wood Elf lore Nerd. Thats all I gotta say.

 

RMW01: Anxiety-filled little woman. RMW houses some of my favorite interactions with their characters, also small.

 

Jqsm1ne: Liri is ICly and OOCly just a cool person, like that annoying little sibling that keeps hanging onto your pant leg.

 

Calise11: EL, is just a fantastic character, and albeit we met on rigid terms of near-conflict, I've enjoyed the more miniscule conversations, and the threats of violence - OOCly, you're just a splendid person, keep doing you.

 

EndRealms, ItsSpookySzn, CursedSailor26: These three people, ever since my arrival, have been at my side through most of my experiences, and most of our days are spent merely messing with each other, like a defunct family. It's fun, its enjoyable, and a breathe of fresh air from most other communities - these are some of the first people I met (cause most of us were pinktags together), and as it stands I will relentlessly bully Spook and End. You will never escape it.

And to Neveahlen folk, and Faerilien (and FoolDudes) necromancer groups.
I've enjoyed encounters with both parties, and have had some very fun moments, I look forward to (hopefully) experiencing many more - and I'm glad some of you have had a very enjoyable time with my characters.

Not only have you proven yourself to be one of the best roleplayers out there, you've also always been a real good friend of mine (always!), asking me almost every day how my day was and never failing to make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Both in LOTC and outside of LOTC, your kindness and friendliness never fails to impress me. @Ragnio

 

McSteve - Hi, dad. Having first met you to play your daughter's persona, you've become a real good friend of mine. Now that I'm maining Myraela, rp with you has proven more frequent - and more fun! Just chilling on the Celia'nor vc with you and our small, wholesome rp interactions has made for some of my fondest memories on LOTC. Having you there really helped me through my time in the hospital - thank you. @McSteve

 

Josh - Tho you're a more recent friend of mine, you really are just one of the funniest and chillest people I've met. Spending time with you both irp and oocly has been just awesome. I hope we can get to continue to be friends in the future! Stay based. @JoshBright

 

Toast - Though we don't talk as much anymore, spending time with you on the now-pk'd Paragon was awesome. I'm not entirely sure what Lenore's up to now, but I wish you the best of luck in LOTC and beyond. Thanks for the memories. @Marrin

 

Michy - What more needs to be said? Even after Amara pk'd, you still consistently checked in on me, asking me how my day was, even when I literally never interacted with you irp. I'll never forget the fun we had together. @Turgon Curufinwe

 

Parrot - Not my closest friend ever ever ever, but still a really based dude. Thanks for being cool (and giving me cheap enchantments.)

 

Echo & Quesadilla - Thanks for fun times on vc guys. Y'all are hilarious. @Elgras, @Quesadilla Man

 

Miel - I love, love, love Marigold. Also, you've just been really nice to me during my entire LOTC journey and are one of my first friends! You were one of the nicest people to me regarding my hospitalization, and I am forever proud and grateful to have you on my friends list. Squeak squeak. @marigold_theclumsy

 

There is no possible way I could express all my love and gratitude to the players of LOTC on this single comment, but thank you so much to all the Celia'nor crew that I haven't tagged here - as well as everyone that rp'd with me in the past. I know I can be annoying at times, but I'd like to leave this little message as my token of appreciation to not just these few friends that I've tagged but all of LOTC. I truly, truly love this community and hope I can continue to have fun with everyone in the new year!

I don't really know where to begin. So many people keep me coming back time and time again to LOTC which is saying something because I've been trying to leave for years now. I've a long list to go through here and I'm sorry if I miss anybody out.

MayRndz - Gotta start with one of the more competent mods I've had the pleasure of knowing while on LOTC. I met May back in 2019 and somehow we're still friends. OOCly, May works hard with both moderation and events to make the server enjoyable and idk how she does it. Stupidly fun to chill with in VC too. 

 

CephalonAir - I've known Air since 2020 where my character and his were good friends. Now that Air is PKed, he plays a ginger twink who I've not even bothered to mystic scavenge for obvious reasons. The prime example of why gingers should be immune to malflame. Quiet in public VCs but absolutely lethal in quiplash.

 

Llir - I'm sorry I got you addicted to League.

Though we only really got to know eachother recently, you've quickly become one of the reasons I stick around. Seeing you care so much for LOTC has helped rekindle my passion for the server. Thank you for being the sacrificial lamb on phasmo. It's always a blast to be around you.

 

 

Pancho - Helped restore my faith in some of the paladin community. I appreciate that you're not afraid to play the underdog. You're not afraid to take on a challenge and you have helped so many warclaims be actual fun. I suppose you're also pretty good at Bedwars even though its TOTALLY me who carries the game.

 

Iloveyoumolly - One of the best RPers I've engaged with on the server. You're insanely underrated and I wish both you and others could see how much of a shining presence you are to every community you join. 

 

HogoBojo - You're a laugh and put up with my insane toxicity on bedwars. I'm looking forward to the next instalment of your LOTC guess who series. Out of all the admins, I'd say you were the easiest to approach whenever I had an issue. You're a friendly face and I always look forward to seeing you either in game or on disc.

 

RedResult - I've never seen a character go from sailor to twink jesus. I dig it.  Also p chill OOC I guess. 

 

Calise11 - We've not spoken in a while but I always enjoyed our conversations :)

 

Keening - Lothric and Valindra's antics are always fun to roleplay. If I ever think of good roleplayers, you're one of the first people to come to mind. We need to play GTA again. 

 

Pup - 2019. I just got banished from haelun'or and they were chasing me down. Pup gave me fun farmyard roleplay and we've been pals ever since. I'm really looking forward to your ic projects. 

 

Kuebiko - Iolas is a chaotic disaster and I love him. You're also one of the post positive people I've seen on lotc. Roleplay is always stupidly fun and you always find a way to make me chuckle.

 

Lhindir - Even though you're leaving, figure I'd drop an appreciation post for you here. You've inspired me to complete my CA, MA and FA pokedex.

 

LobsterLarry - Every time I've been in VC with you, you've always been fun to be around. Remind me to do your conju lessons sometime pls..

 

xo31 - You're a menace but in an endearing sorta way.

 

WhiteWolf - For the longest time, I felt almost unofficially blacklisted from the darkspawn community. Thanks to you I got an in to some of the most fascinating rp I've ever had. You're one of the best-faith players I've met and your events are really fun. RIP Astark.

 

Keno - My penguin died. Can I get a new one? :(

 

DinoChad - Technically I've known you since before you were on LOTC I think and I don't think I've ever seen you not happy. Can't wait to RP with you more in h'nor.

 

TheRainbowRoyal - You're one of the OGs. I'm sorry you got dragged back to LOTC though I'm really glad V and Mayan are able to see eachother again.

Xalid - This is a big one, I know you don't really play anymore but I can't not mention you. You were an almost parental figure to my on LOTC and helped me through some really tough times. You're the one who taught me how to act with kindness on this server even when it perhaps didn't deserve it. Wherever you are now, I wish you nothing but the best.

The Haeseni

- @Lortime- A friend of the olden days, it is he who bears the name of Lortime we bestow the gracious honour of the return of house Valkonen. Lortime; he who brings light and hope to the house which would have otherwise flopped. Thank you for not being mid. <3

- @notachipshop- This man is not only my friend, but my rock. He has been a pillar of my childhood, withstanding the test of time. He also bought me a kebab once. Here's to eight years of friendship, and many more!!

-  @emm [Evelina] - The one true pookie. We will pick a wedding day soon xx

- @Evalte- Evalte, you are a goofy creature. Persist.

-  @Truppler- Though no longer with Valkonen as Hauchmamej Ravn, you were a significant player in the beginning of my LOTC career. Thank you for all those hours.

- @JuliusAakerlund- I will always remember one of the first things I did on LOTC was when Irena received a bird from your old man. Julius is a true friend, homie, and pookie.

- @Seuss- Seuss was one of the first players I recall roleplaying with, particularly a young Irena getting dragged out of a dinner after a priest launched a bowl of soup at her. Honestly one of the funniest things I ever saw. His application of Scyfling culture mixed with a certain level of seriousness in his characters rather inspired me to branch off and make a character of my own, rather than simply a child character, to try and embrace a culture wholely with dedication unmatched to their city. Thank you Seuss, because the creation of Isabeth Helaigyr (later Dame Ivona Stroheim) was quite possibly the greatest thing I ever did. Though I know i keep my distance, please know your presence in the early days was greatly appreciated.

- @CasChaos- My favourite memories when reflecting upon the story of Irena Glennmaer are most certainly those of Irena and Karl in their younger years. Thank you for giving me such a well-rounded experience with such a sweet character dynamic for my first girliepop.

 

 

The Norlandic

- @PanicZealot- I can't lie you scare the shit out of me sometimes for inexplicable reasons but you're also incredibly kind and understanding, you've been there for me through some real ouchers and I really appreciate you for everything you've done. You're a true credit to Norland, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

- @Calise11- Sinner Gylldene has got to be one of the most iconic and revolutionary characters to the tale of Irena. Had their paths not crossed, she likely would have never bore her Norland arc and I would have lost out on so many iconic friendships, but namely the funny, kind and compassionate Calise. <3

- @Saun_399- You are such a vibe please never change!!!

- @_Elrith_- Ellenore is a character who is a closed, but clearly very weighty book and during my Norland arc, I could not stop wondering what the story of Ellenore is. It is highly impressive to me that this character has been maintained and played for so many years, and I'm excited to see what's in store for her.

 

The Reinmaren

- @HugoAntero- My beloved pocket ST is so unbelieveably gang. Thank you for all the yaps, they have been greatly appreciated!

- @Shadow2k- I love to spam reels and he watches every single one. That is true friendship imo. <3

- @juliaINC- NOOOOOOO ISOLDE 😭Julia you are truly a Reinmaren icon. Isolde was such a strong, inspiring and powerful woman, my main reason of deciding to stay in Reinmar being initially because Isolde existed. Wilhelmina is so SLAY, and I want to see her continue to slay. Keep slaying!!
- @Toffee- I can say with full confidence that Adalfriede von Hexenwald was a scary, scary, incredible lady. To play a scary character is one thing, to play a scary character that people feel the need to impress is another thing entirely. You are AMAZING!

- @crazedpudding- L bozo'd those guys in that debate fr... You're doing an amazing job pudding, keep SLAYING!

- @ookipi- Gertrude was exactly what Reinmar needed. You had a vision, and you delivered. I absolutely love Gertrude and I love love LOVE your skins!

- @Timer- Why do all of your characters terrify me. It's scarily impressive.

- @Solour- Thank you for taking a chance on me, I've enjoyed my time in Reinmar and I wouldn't have achieved all I did with Ivona without your support.

The Vourkehardts

 

- @FunkehMelon- There are not quite the right words to clarify how grateful I am for the existence of this one funky Melon. Bro was there for the highs and the lows, and I could not appreciate a pookie more than I do him (sorry Emm). Long live the Vourkehardts, and Long Live the KING!!!

- @TotallyNotRice- As this is an appreciation post, i shall do so through this; I solemnly swear not to PK Netherwind for something incredibly dumb, and/or to free up space. She will live her natural lifespan and die when it is her time, so you may observe her presence in all of its' glory.

- @Tainga- Auris is a curious cookie. It's truly interesting to observe the life of our girl and how she interacts with others. My favourite parts have honestly been when Vanya and Auris worked together on her election campaign, I felt the true spark of sisterhood between them and it was just so perf. x

- @confusedjester- Jester, Jester, Jester. You play so many characters it's difficult to keep track, but I know I have always been amused by them in some way or another. Live laugh love Anneliese.

- @ickyNuN- You STINK!!! (affectionately)

 

The Glennmaers

- @Pepto- Our Lord of the Brig has done an absolutely unbelievable job at maintaining an active, flourishing vassal and it has been a pleasure to work alongside this veteran. Though my main contributions are simply to make things more smooth sailing, such as cooking things, organising donations and fetching wheat for restocks, Pepto has always made me aware that my contributions are noticed and greatly appreciated.

- @PufferfishTrash- Saeth is such a creature, and such a goober. She is truly the child of Irena.

-  @Calise11(AGAIN!?!???) - An honourable second mention to our dear Calise, for her amazing and highly adored presence in the walls of Formindon as Cassie Glennmaer. We love having you here! <3
